Surely everyone will have seen that Taylor Swift tweeted last night that there have been further developments in her ordeal with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta. Lots of singers/celebrities have been posting on social media in support of Taylor using the #IStandWithTaylor - including Lily Allen, Halsey, Selena Gomez, Greg James (*.*), Brad Simpson and more. On the flip side, however, Twitter stans are heavily criticising the likes of Shawn, Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran and Niall Horan for not publicly supporting her and using their platform to condemn this behaviour from Scooter/Scott. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Are Taylor's fans / the Twitter stans right - should Shawn be posting something on Twitter, Instagram, or any other platform where he has such a massive reach and influence to support one of his best friends in the industry? |

He doesn't HAVE to speak out, but it would be nice if he did, especially considering they've just put out a song together...!

I think him speaking out would be significant, especially as pretty much everyone who has spoken out has been female

I’m sure he won’t, he tends to keep everything a secret

I’m sure he won’t, he tends to keep everything a secret Likes of what? Personally I do think it would be really significant if he did speak out and defend one of his friends, but at the same time he's not obliged to say anything. Twitter stans need to heed Taylor's own advice and calm down just a bit. |

That’s pretty rich coming from Swifties when Taylor didn’t say anything about her political affiliations during the 2016 election

That’s pretty rich coming from Swifties when Taylor didn’t say anything about her political affiliations during the 2016 election It's hardly the same thing speaking out about your political views compared to speaking out to stick up for your friend... I wouldn't expect my friends to tell everyone their political opinion but I would hope they would stand up for me if I were being mistreated... |

No. I think it is very clear as to where he stands. He's probs one of those who hates being public about certain things and would rather support Taylor in a more private setting..
Would it be nice? Yeah ofc. But those that are jumping on her friends are being pretty unfair. They don't know what's being said to Taylor privately. Maybe Taylor specifically requested for them not to. We don't know. |
