Welcome to the weekly ACR Status Updates thread! This is where you can find out the current streaming ratios of the songs in the official top 100. Please note - I don't receive information every single week, so if no thread materialises, there's no use nagging me - it means I genuinely don't know the status of any songs! Updates can also materialise at any point over the weekend but I'll always try to ensure I do it before the First Look chart update if I receive the necessary information.

If you're wondering what ACR and SCR are, here's a quick reminder:

SCR = Standard Chart Ratio. All songs enter the chart on SCR, which means their streams count at the following ratios:

100 premium streams = 1 sale (e.g. a premium Spotify account, Apple Music, Tidal, etc)
600 ad-funded streams = 1 sale (e.g. free Spotify, YouTube, etc)

ACR = Accelerated Chart Ratio. Once a song has charted for at least 10 weeks, and declines in streams for three consecutive weeks, it is put onto ACR. This means its streams are effectively HALVED, and count at the following ratios:

200 premium streams = 1 sale
1200 ad-funded streams = 1 sale

Songs older than 3 years old are automatically on ACR.

The terminology used in this thread will be the official terminology used by the OCC. The explanations are posted in each update to assist you.

Does anyone know the how big the percentage drop of the market is after Christmas? I'm trying to figure out how well a song needs to do to be reset.

from last year's MW:
A week after scorching to a record 22,836,037 units, singles consumption dives 17.45% week-on-week to 18,850,875 units, 15.89% above same week 2019 sales of 16,266,494. Paid-for sales are down 4.89% week-on-week at 602,665 – 28.30% below same week 2019 sales of 840,593. They are below same week, previous year sales for the 335th week in a row.

Dynamite is really coming to be one of the biggest hits of the year after initially plummeting! Good to see it get reset. Also great to see Midnight Sky getting another week of no decline and I'm sure the same for next week! A monster hit wub.gif Also interesting to see Sunflower not fall, I wonder if we'll be stuck with that for a while now as it seems very stable!

'Sunflower' is now at the point where it's old enough that its week to week fluctuations are going to be nearly random so it could keep avoiding ACR for a while yet (same as 'Perfect', and also 'All Girls Are The Same' now). Although it is also possible that the boost from the film coming to Netflix will be fairly short lived and it might see consistent losses again after a week or two.

A shame that Diamonds is going to ACR so quickly, it's really grown on me and I'd have liked to have seen it do better.

Yeh same here, it was a song that took a while to get going and because it’s 16/17 now it’ll prob drop off out of the top 40 this week, hate those types of chart runs
