I'm intrigued by Don't Worry Darling but this is the film I'm more hyped to watch!

Seeing a lot of positivity about this film on my feed tonight with press conference happening! Good. I was thinking earlier that two bad critiques in quick succession would surely derail his acting career |

I've seen mostly positive things with people being pleasantly surprised by Harry's performance;
https://twitter.com/FilmUpdates/status/1569...89vG-Q&s=19 Agree with Joseph, this is the film I'm hyped for. A shame it looks like it isnt getting a theatrical release in the UK or if it is, a limited one, as it looks like it is going straight to Prime. |

There's been a few clips leaked. From what I've seen so far it's very much a gay themed film for straight people.

I know we can take what critics say with a pinch of salt, but they've really panned this movie. 22 reviews now, and the Rotten Tomatoes score is down to 36% - currently a slightly worse reception than Don't Worry Darling has.

Watching this now. Hes utterly gorgeous and his acting needs a bit of training. Like he looks like hes looking for his lines.

ok so... he's a little "just off book" but all in all i think the film is really good... i think he just needs to loosen up a bit.
Their chemistry is a bit non existant until their in their relationship. |

I’m watching it now and so far he is ok but easily the worst actor in it, but then the rest are far more experienced than him. I see promise there if he continues to work on his skill he is ok. He looks bloody gorgeous in it though, his tattoos are vile and even more so seeing him without them!

As per Don't Worry Darling I think his acting is fine, just obviously unpolished. He'd have been better working his way up to this sort-of scale but he's not bad by any means imo! I don't think he's actually given too much meat to work with in this film despite being the central character, the story's told from Marian and Patrick's perspectives so we don't really get a glimpse at too much of the inner conflict and confusion Tom's feeling. The knock on effect is that Harry therefore hasn't got loads to work with anyway, but he plays the part of the doe-eyed naïve heartthrob really well and the chemistry I find is strong between Harry and both his co-stars.
That's not to say it's a bad film at all, though. It was touching and gripping throughout, I knew immediately that it was Marian who shopped Patrick in but that didn't make it less jaw-dropping to see it unfold that she really did go there. Very enjoyable and I'll defo rewatch at some point! |
