"Too Lost In You" peaking at #10 seems SO low for those sales. What was it against?!
The top 10 for that week was:

[NE] 01. Michael Andrews & Gary Jules - Mad World
[NE] 02. The Darkness - Christmas Time (Don't Let the Bells End)
[01] 03. Ozzy Osbourne & Kelly Osbourne - Changes
[NE] 04. Bo Selecta - Proper Crimbo
[NE] 05. Idols - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
[02] 06. Will Young - Leave Right Now
[03] 07. Black Eyed Peas - Shut Up
[NE] 08. Atomic Kitten - Ladies Night
[04] 09. Shane Ritchie - I'm Your Man
[NE] 10. Sugababes - Too Lost In You

---

They weren't even the 2nd highest non-xmas (well do people consider TLIY a xmas song due to Love Actually orrrr...?) new release! Atomic Kitten were *.*

The 2003 was a very, very busy Christmas chart for New Entries with the likes of The Darkness 'Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End), Michael Andrews/Gary Jules 'Mad World' and Bo Selecta, The Idols 'Happy Christmas (War Is Over), Atomic Kitten 'Ladies Night' and 'Too Lost In You' all New entries in the Top 10. Edit: As shown by Jonjo's post above.

Blue's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' and Ultrabeat's 'Feelin' Fine' both just missed out on Top 10 entering at 11 and 12 respectively. Probably the busiest Christmas chart I've ever known for big name releases.

Remember this chart week so clearly... was devastated that Atomic Kitten charted higher than them.

Too Lost in You has strongly benefited from downloads & streaming!

In 2003, Too Lost in You sold 27,000 copies in its first week at #10, and then 16,000 in its second week at #10 = 43,000 copies. It was the 167th best seller of the year, with just 2 weeks on sale. It seems that Blue (who spent 2 weeks at #11) were very close behind them in both weeks, given that they ended as the 168th best seller! Unlucky for them.

In 2004, Too Lost in You sold in the region of 40,000 to 45,000 copies (145th best seller of the year). All said and done, its physical sales are likely to be under 90,000 copies.

June 2009: 137,381 sales

May 2014: 200,000+ sales (still purely physicals and downloads at this point)

October 2019: 338,000 sales (with streaming)

Regarding Atomic Kitten’s Ladies Night (which went 8-9 in the charts while Sugababes were stuck at #10) - AK sold 28,300 at #8 (only 1,300 more than Sugababes). At #9 they sold 18,000, which was 2,000 ahead of Sugababes. ~46,000 sales in two weeks for AK had them as the 157th best seller of 2003. By 2009 it had reached 94,000 copies, so evidently Sugababes quickly overtook them in the download era.

Too Lost in You has outsold Girls Aloud’s Jump (also taken from Love Actually). I’d estimate Jump currently being on 333,500 sales. It was on 222,411 in 2009.

Speaking of which, About You Now has seemingly finally overtaken Sound of the Underground, which I would estimate to be on sales of 809,000!

Girls Aloud sales are estimates based on recent figures!

01. 812,000 Sugababes - About You Now
02. 809,000 Girls Aloud - Sound of the Underground
03. 642,000 Girls Aloud - The Promise
04. 640,000 Sugababes - Push the Button
05. 393,500 Girls Aloud - Call the Shots
06. 376,000 Girls Aloud - Love Machine
07. 353,000 Sugababes - Freak Like Me
08. 346,500 Girls Aloud - Something Kinda Ooooh
09. 338,000 Sugababes - Too Lost in You
10. 333,500 Girls Aloud - Jump

Although there’s a possibility that Round Round could be 10th. It was directly behind Jump in June 2019: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/t...5-years__26540/ )

Girls underperformed at the time coming off the back of a massive era for them. But I think airplay and the advert kept it floating on iTunes enough for it to be a hit I think!

I remember Girls being released a week earlier than it should have, if it was released it’s original date the sales may have mounted enough for it to have been another #01 for them.

I also remember Easy’s physical copy being deleted to push for sales of the greatest hits, or it was that the download was made album only.

Where is Easy? One of their best.

Back in June 2009, the singles that aren't in the October 2019 top 20, had sold this much:

Easy 56,410
In The Middle 52,308
Caught in a Moment 49,406
No Can Do 49,063
Follow Me Home 20,106
Soul Sound 14,359

I can imagine Easy still having sold the most out of all of those, but who knows!

Caught In A Moment is so underrated.

That’s definitely the best vocal song they’ve done Keishas voice on it is STUNNING.
