Oooh yes, rather excited about the return of this one. Lemar releases his 6th studio album 'The Letter' this autumn (date TBC):

Small YouTube preview-age thing from behind the scenes in the studio:

He's also on tour in September, tickets of which are on sale now - http://listings.ticketmaster.co.uk/lemar/

I really like Lemar - I've got all his albums (except the last one, 'Invincible', largely cause I didn't get round to hearing it) but I can't wait for this. Sounds a lot more like he's returned to the old school soul sound which really suited him more!

It's released on October 9th and is a mixture of soul classics and original material.

Listening post for 'The Letter', a cover of the Box Tops hit from 1967:

This has got some soul! cool.gif Reminds me a bit of his version of 'Let's Stay Together' - very faithful to the original but with his own twist on proceedings.

'The Way Love Goes' was a bop and a half. No one is here for this though.

I LOVED 'The Way Love Goes'. Well deserved top 10 that was!

He's been opening for Robbie Williams on a couple of European shows he did this last week - one was for the Prince of Monaco's birthday or something like that? Did a cover of 'Happy' in his set which I can just imagine him nailing!
