hello! Welcome back to the 2nd running of our BJSC Pride contest! It's time for the important part - the voting stage

we're a little down on turn out this year in comparison to last but i can guarantee we've got a high quality contest on our hands thank you to everyone who took the time to confirm!

before we get to the entries i just want to run over those all important rules quickly...

we'll be using the 12 point voting system (12, 10, 08 - 01)
you'll also be voting via https://forms.gle/qwsX6udHbE7oP85z9google form, please do not pm any votes to me!!
you have until 23:59 on the 27th of June (UK time) to vote
failure to vote will result in a 33% deduction of your entry. If I accept late votes and you get them in before the outlined time you will only face a 15% deduction

also this thread was up v late because i was at the dentist this morning right and i had to get a tooth out okay but it was horrendous. four f***ing injections of anaesthetic i needed!! then the tooth didnt come out in one part, it came out in THREE right so she had to like dig around in there to get it out okay SO long story short i've been in a lot of pain all day, feeling like shite, fell asleep at 5pm and didn't wake up until like 11pm so there we go x

actually my rota for next week is now up, i'm 9pm finishes monday to thursday so i dont think i'll be able to host a plug night but i can keep the 27th as the deadline x

I edited the link to the form for the 115 semis to be in massive font size at both the top and bottom of the OPs and like 4 people still missed it and sent a PM instead

i thought people might miss it if they skip the rules thinking they know it all already so i put it in big text at the bottom to cover that base and it still happened twice so far so it's now aggressively in the subtitle

okay reminders have been sent out!! i will accept late votes until 2pm on the 28th but they will receive a 15% deduction. anything sent after this time will be classed as a non-vote and a 33% deduction will occur x

no... 23:59 UK time, I did say that and that's always the case... I'm not gonna keep tabs on every posters timezones

I sent reminders an entire day before the deadline as well, voting was open for a week, this thread has been updated regularly, deadline is in the subheading and i've got a link to vote in my signature so there should have been no confusion really

I just really thought I sent it in time and thought there might have been a mistake made which I can see now wasn't the case, and I know I was already being late which is nobody's fault other than my own. But just for the record I never received any reminder. The last message I received from you was about Aurora being taken already.

i realise i missed an a out in your username so it went to some randomer so my bad there but still, you should check the thread - reminders aren't a guarantee, hosts don't need to send them out but I did say in here that I had done so if you didn't get one that would have been your time to flag it to me, but yea if you've entered a spin off you should check the thread if you aren't sure of the deadline and if you weren't sure on the timezones you could have asked me or just voted earlier to cover your bases no??

Yeah had no chance voting in this apologies. Did give the songs a quick run thru at the weekend but too busy after to fairly rank. I did like Botanikka's entry so that to win I guess (+ apols for less points than it ought to have got)

For clarity

Official BJSC policy is that reminders are a nice to have and are not a mandatory part of hosting. Everyone participating is enough of a grown up to keep track of a deadline.

Deadlines are always 23:59 UK time. This is to provide a consistent deadline. For the minority of people based outside of the UK Time Zone it is your responsibility to keep track of how this relates to your local time zone. When I was in Germany last year (and will do the same when i relocate permanently later this year) I treated it as 23:59 my time that was the deadline so i was never late.

Votes received passed the deadline are accepted at the discretion of the host, with any penalties applied in line with the BJSC Rules.

If you have any issues with this, or issues with voting in general please speak to a member of the BJSC moderating team and we'll take it up with the host where any issue may have arisen.

Gentle reminder that if you do have circumstances that are going to delay your votes or mean you can't vote at all please speak to a mod at the earliest appropriate opportunity and we'll do whatever we can to assist you. At the end of the day your general well-being is most important and we will help you as a member of our community however we can.
