"Say It Right", "Girlfriend" and "Beautiful Liar" are the holy trinity of 2007 female pop singles tbh

17 Mika "Grace Kelly" (3 weeks) Fab, pretty iconic #1 that deserved a better sales climate
18 Kelis "Lil Star" (2 weeks) Don't know this! 19 Nelly Furtado "Say It Right" (5 weeks) Probably her best, and that's no small feat 20 Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" (1 week) Back when she was successful 21 Beyonce & Shakira "Beautiful Liar" (5 weeks) Overrated IMO, especially the Freemasons remix :\ :/ 22 Rihanna feat. Jay-Z "Umbrella" (7 weeks) Such a classic but far from my fave of hers 23 Avril Lavigne "When You're Gone" (1 week) Back when she was successful [2] 24 Fergie "Big Girls Don't Cry" (2 weeks) Tbh, would've preferred any other of her singles to be a multichart #1 instead! This one's good too though 25 Groove Armada feat. Mutya Buena "Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control)" (1 week) Don't know this either! 26 Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson "The Way I Are" (2 weeks) Keri <3 <3 <3 27 Robyn feat. Kleerup "With Every Heartbeat" (2 weeks) One of my fave songs AND videos 28 Girls Aloud "Sexy! 17 Mika "Grace Kelly" (3 weeks) quite liked this but it/he gradually got annoying
18 Kelis "Lil Star" (2 weeks) forgot this 19 Nelly Furtado "Say It Right" (5 weeks) I do like this but Maneater is so much better 20 Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" (1 week) I had stages of loving this and finding it really annoying, now it's nothing special 21 Beyonce & Shakira "Beautiful Liar" (5 weeks) eurgh no 22 Rihanna feat. Jay-Z "Umbrella" (7 weeks) loved this but it's been a bit overshadowed by even better songs she'd do in the future for me 23 Avril Lavigne "When You're Gone" (1 week) forgot this 24 Fergie "Big Girls Don't Cry" (2 weeks) good but Glamorous >>>> 25 Groove Armada feat. Mutya Buena "Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control)" (1 week) prefer their other song of the era 'Get Down', probably in a minority there 26 Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson "The Way I Are" (2 weeks) amazing 27 Robyn feat. Kleerup "With Every Heartbeat" (2 weeks) as is this 28 Girls Aloud "Sexy! No No No" (3 weeks) mehh 29 Sugababes "About You Now" (6 weeks) this was good 30 Britney Spears "Gimme More" (1 week) one of her all time greats 31 Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love" (4 weeks) found this boring but I can appreciate it once in a while 32 Girls Aloud "Call The Shots" (5 weeks) this was quite good but as with many of their songs overrated |

19 Nelly Furtado "Say It Right" (5 weeks)
20 Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" (1 week) Her best single for me (although not her best track - Innocence from the same album is my favourite ) 21 Beyonce & Shakira "Beautiful Liar" (5 weeks) Incredible track! 22 Rihanna feat. Jay-Z "Umbrella" (7 weeks) Remains my fave! 23 Avril Lavigne "When You're Gone" (1 week) 24 Fergie "Big Girls Don't Cry" (2 weeks) 25 Groove Armada feat. Mutya Buena "Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control)" (1 week) 26 Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson "The Way I Are" (2 weeks) 28 Girls Aloud "Sexy! No No No" (3 weeks) Their second best track after Something New, feels so underappreciated these days 29 Sugababes "About You Now" (6 weeks) 30 Britney Spears "Gimme More" (1 week) 31 Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love" (4 weeks) 32 Girls Aloud "Call The Shots" (5 weeks) Loads of amazing tracks at #1 in 2007 |

2008 33 Britney Spears "Piece Of Me" (4 weeks) 34 Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music" (2 weeks) 35 Duffy "Mercy" (5 weeks) 36 Girls Aloud "Can't Speak French" (1 week) 37 Estelle feat. Kanye West "American Boy" (1 week) 38 Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake "4 Minutes" (6 weeks) 39 The Ting Tings "That's Not My Name" (1 week) 40 Duffy "Warwick Avenue" (5 weeks) 41 Madonna "Give It 2 Me" (2 weeks) 42 Dizzee Rascal feat. Calvin Harris & Chrom3 "Dance Wiv Me" (1 week) 43 The Ting Tings "Shut Up And Let Me Go" (2 weeks) 44 Katy Perry "I Kissed A Girl" (2 weeks) 45 Rihanna "Disturbia" (4 weeks) 46 P!nk "So What" (5 weeks) 47 Girls Aloud "The Promise" (3 weeks) 48 Britney Spears "Womanizer" (5 weeks) 49 Leona Lewis "Run" (3 weeks) A good year for a few of 2008's hottest new chart acts- soul singer Duffy achieves 5 weeks at the #1 spot with both "Mercy" and "Warwick Avenue", while The Ting Tings' two signature hits "That's Not My Name" and "Shut Up And Let Me Go" both reach the top. Elsewhere, Madonna hooked up with Timberlake & Timbaland to unleash a huge comeback single "4 Minutes", the longest-running Multichart #1 of that year at 6 weeks. Other Buzzjack faves Rihanna, Britney and Girls Aloud all attain two #1 hits throughout the year. And for a shocker there was an all-male representation at the top for one week; Dizzee, Calvin and Chrom3 on "Dance Wiv Me" |

Very nice way to mark the 500th Multichart installment, Risevseph(1)! Between this and all the work you guys do every week for the forum, I'm thinking you could really do with some sort of site-wide recognition or something.
Lots of stuff I'm liking here. Perhaps it's a bit naive but I really didn't think Girls Aloud dominated Buzzjack's taste to THAT extent, what with all of their singles from 'Something Kinda Ooooh' to 'The Promise' going to #1 (barring 'I Think We're Alone Now' and 'Walk This Way', but who really counts those anyway). Not complaining though because all those songs are part of the group's best years. I think 'Can't Speak French' will always be my favourite GA track for nostalgic reasons (I had a French exchange student staying with me at the time it was being hammered by radio and it became a recurring joke lol). Overall favourites so far would be 'All Good Things (Come To An End)' (so cool to see this got seven weeks and aptly finished out the year <3), 'Lil Star' (Shocked you've never heard this Jordan, get on it! ), 'Say It Right', 'With Every Heartbeat', both Ting Tings' tracks, 'Dance Wiv Me' and 'Disturbia'. Also great that some of the more iconic/defining hits of the last ten years were so appreciated by Buzzjack - I particularly approve of 'Hips Don't Lie', 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing', 'Chasing Cars', 'Umbrella', 'Piece Of Me' and 'American Boy'. <3 |

2009 50 Girls Aloud "The Loving Kind" (4 weeks) 51 Lily Allen "The Fear" (3 weeks) 52 Kelly Clarkson "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2 weeks) 53 Lady GaGa "Poker Face" (7 weeks) 54 Girls Aloud "Untouchable" (3 weeks) 55 Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" (3 weeks) 56 Agnes "Release Me" (2 weeks) 57 David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland "When Love Takes Over" (2 weeks) 58 Lady GaGa "Paparazzi" (3 weeks) 59 Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" (2 weeks) 60 Little Boots "Remedy" (6 weeks) 61 Shakira "She Wolf" (2 weeks) 62 Madonna "Celebration" (1 week) 63 Cheryl Cole "Fight For This Love" (4 weeks) 64 Lady GaGa "Bad Romance" (10 weeks) Surprisingly, "Just Dance" was not a Multichart #1 (maybe because it took so long to chart officially in the UK?) but Lady Gaga starts her domination soon after, with 3 of her next 4 singles reaching #1 for a combined 20 weeks! That includes "Bad Romance" which was there for a record 10 weeks. Will any other songs have that long a run at the top? Stay tuned. Most of the major #1s seem to have made it here but I'd say "Bad Boys" is another one that surprisingly missed out. Did Buzzjack get any of Alexandra's other singles to #1? |

2008 faves:
33 Britney Spears "Piece Of Me" (4 weeks) 34 Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music" (2 weeks) 36 Girls Aloud "Can't Speak French" (1 week) 37 Estelle feat. Kanye West "American Boy" (1 week) An amazing song and it seems to get a fair bit of hate these days on here so I'm delighted to see that it managed a week at #1! 38 Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake "4 Minutes" (6 weeks) 41 Madonna "Give It 2 Me" (2 weeks) 44 Katy Perry "I Kissed A Girl" (2 weeks) 45 Rihanna "Disturbia" (4 weeks) 46 P!nk "So What" (5 weeks) 47 Girls Aloud "The Promise" (3 weeks) 48 Britney Spears "Womanizer" (5 weeks) One of her best, no surprise to see it spend so long at #1! 49 Leona Lewis "Run" (3 weeks) 2009 faves: 50 Girls Aloud "The Loving Kind" (4 weeks) 51 Lily Allen "The Fear" (3 weeks) Lily's defining hit surely, although I'd say I prefer Hard Out Here. 52 Kelly Clarkson "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2 weeks) 53 Lady GaGa "Poker Face" (7 weeks) 54 Girls Aloud "Untouchable" (3 weeks) 56 Agnes "Release Me" (2 weeks) 57 David Guetta feat. Bad Boys missing out |

33 Britney Spears "Piece Of Me" (4 weeks) this is quite good but pales in comparison to Gimme More
34 Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music" (2 weeks) another great Rihanna song, she really has an amazing discography though 35 Duffy "Mercy" (5 weeks) don't mind this 36 Girls Aloud "Can't Speak French" (1 week) meh 37 Estelle feat. Kanye West "American Boy" (1 week) love this 38 Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake "4 Minutes" (6 weeks) this is great although it'll always be a bit sad for the fact that it would be her last big hit 39 The Ting Tings "That's Not My Name" (1 week) such a good catchy song 40 Duffy "Warwick Avenue" (5 weeks) okay but 5 weeks really?? 41 Madonna "Give It 2 Me" (2 weeks) this was okay, 4 Minutes still remains a lot better 42 Dizzee Rascal feat. Calvin Harris & Chrom3 "Dance Wiv Me" (1 week) amazing song! and finally an all male #1 again *.* 43 The Ting Tings "Shut Up And Let Me Go" (2 weeks) this was cool too 44 Katy Perry "I Kissed A Girl" (2 weeks) thought this would've had more than just 2 weeks! still quite like this song anyway but she has made better since 45 Rihanna "Disturbia" (4 weeks) Rihanna does it again! another amazing song 46 P!nk "So What" (5 weeks) probably her best song, I did love this 47 Girls Aloud "The Promise" (3 weeks) one of my Girls Aloud faves actually, good song 48 Britney Spears "Womanizer" (5 weeks) found this a bit annoying at the time but I do like it in a novelty way 49 Leona Lewis "Run" (3 weeks) great cover version. 50 Girls Aloud "The Loving Kind" (4 weeks) another strong GA song! 51 Lily Allen "The Fear" (3 weeks) loved this! 52 Kelly Clarkson "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2 weeks) still one of her strongest songs, she hasn't made a song nearly as good since 53 Lady GaGa "Poker Face" (7 weeks) 7 weeks *.* fully deserves it tho 54 Girls Aloud "Untouchable" (3 weeks) a bit overrated soz 55 Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" (3 weeks) absolutely loooove this 56 Agnes "Release Me" (2 weeks) omg this is amazzzing too 57 David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland "When Love Takes Over" (2 weeks) not one of his all time best but still srsly good 58 Lady GaGa "Paparazzi" (3 weeks) always found this overrated 59 Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" (2 weeks) another amazing song yayy 60 Little Boots "Remedy" (6 weeks) so basic but I can't help but love it 61 Shakira "She Wolf" (2 weeks) this is quite good 62 Madonna "Celebration" (1 week) also quite good 63 Cheryl Cole "Fight For This Love" (4 weeks) didn't hugely love this but it is one of her best 64 Lady GaGa "Bad Romance" (10 weeks) omg 10 weeks *.* no one can dream of such buzzdomination now. amazing song obvs |

My faves...
2006 1 Sugababes "Red Dress" (1 week) really liked this at the time but not so much nowadays but it's still good! 2 P!nk "Stupid Girls" (1 week) I think it's the video that made me love this because without it I don't think I'd be THAT huge on it. Still love Pink regardless tho 3 Embrace "Nature's Law" (3 weeks) beautiful 4 Infernal "From Paris To Berlin" (5 weeks) annoying, never really did like it tbh! 5 Nelly Furtado "Maneater" (4 weeks) I know this gets a lot of love but I'm in the minority and think this is pretty bad actually and overrated for sure, Nelly has far better songs imo! 6 Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean "Hips Don't Lie" (2 weeks) a little overrated compared to her discography but I do enjoy it a LOT 7 Lily Allen "Smile" (1 week) I didn't like this one at all. Thankfully she has better to offer later through the years 8 Rogue Traders "Voodoo Child" (1 week) this is great! 9 Christina Aguilera "Ain't No Other Man" (2 weeks) meh... far from her best. 'Hurt' should've switched around with this in terms of success! 10 Rihanna "Unfaithful" (1 week) meh.. didn't like it much at the time but it's sounding decent nowadays! 11 Cascada "Everytime We Touch" (1 week) It's a shame they and this song got loads of hate back in the day because trashy or not I FRICKIN LOVED THIS 12 Scissor Sisters "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" (5 weeks) fun pop song 13 Snow Patrol "Chasing Cars" (3 weeks) a little overplayed but lovely nonetheless! 14 Girls Aloud "Something Kinda Oooh" (3 weeks) this is quite good but never loved it or anything! 15 All Saints "Rock Steady" (3 weeks) great but defo prefer their older stuff! 16 Nelly Furtado "All Good Things (Come To An End)" (7 weeks) lovely song 7 weeks was a bit excessive tho 2007 17 Mika "Grace Kelly" (3 weeks) TUNE 18 Kelis "Lil Star" (2 weeks) How?? have people especially Jordan not heard this stunning song, definitely in Kelis's best songs for me! 19 Nelly Furtado "Say It Right" (5 weeks) another good'un from Nelly! 20 Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" (1 week) this was unavoidable in School haha but it is a great song. I enjoy most of Avril's output though! 21 Beyonce & Shakira "Beautiful Liar" (5 weeks) never thought much of this, it grew on me a little at the time but meh really.. even the remix hasn't aged well! 22 Rihanna feat. Jay-Z "Umbrella" (7 weeks) now this I hated for a good few years when it had come out but probably down to the fact that I've become a semi RIhanna fan since 2009 this is sounding okay nowadays. Really annoying in 2007 however and found it supremely overrated at the time! 23 Avril Lavigne "When You're Gone" (1 week) glorious song 24 Fergie "Big Girls Don't Cry" (2 weeks) same as Avril above! 25 Groove Armada feat. Mutya Buena "Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control)" (1 week) good track! 26 Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson "The Way I Are" (2 weeks) decent 27 Robyn feat. Kleerup "With Every Heartbeat" (2 weeks) great track again but preferred 'Be Mine' 28 Girls Aloud "Sexy! No No No" (3 weeks) meh.. 29 Sugababes "About You Now" (6 weeks) Yass one of my favourite songs of that year 30 Britney Spears "Gimme More" (1 week) nice comeback but preferred the next two songs that followed it! 31 Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love" (4 weeks) was caught up with all the hype surrounding this at the time but my gosh now it's too overplayed and again overrated! 32 Girls Aloud "Call The Shots" (5 weeks) lovely! 2008 33 Britney Spears "Piece Of Me" (4 weeks) 34 Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music" (2 weeks) 35 Duffy "Mercy" (5 weeks) 36 Girls Aloud "Can't Speak French" (1 week) good but nothing spectacular! 37 Estelle feat. Kanye West "American Boy" (1 week) EWWWWWWWWW - at Estelle's voice than the song which is just boring really 38 Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake "4 Minutes" (6 weeks) didn't deserve to spend quite that long at the top but good comeback from her at that time! 39 The Ting Tings "That's Not My Name" (1 week) 40 Duffy "Warwick Avenue" (5 weeks) 41 Madonna "Give It 2 Me" (2 weeks) Okay now this was good for about a week or two but quickly turned to crap! 42 Dizzee Rascal feat. Calvin Harris & Chrom3 "Dance Wiv Me" (1 week) great song 43 The Ting Tings "Shut Up And Let Me Go" (2 weeks) the much superior Ting Ting's track 44 Katy Perry "I Kissed A Girl" (2 weeks) 45 Rihanna "Disturbia" (4 weeks) a tad overhyped when it was out. The video >>>>>> the song for me! 46 P!nk "So What" (5 weeks) not her best but still pretty catchy. Wasn't really expecting this to go to #1 for her though so was a bit shocked really! 47 Girls Aloud "The Promise" (3 weeks) bland although I did like it for a short while! 48 Britney Spears "Womanizer" (5 weeks) this is such a good pop track and Britterz in that video 49 Leona Lewis "Run" (3 weeks) nice version but prefer SP's by FAR! 2009 50 Girls Aloud "The Loving Kind" (4 weeks) decent 51 Lily Allen "The Fear" (3 weeks) this was the first Lily song I really liked actually and from here on out she's been mostly great! 52 Kelly Clarkson "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2 weeks) Kelly 53 Lady GaGa "Poker Face" (7 weeks) I do recall not thinking much of this at first but when it's impact time came around I grew to really love this 54 Girls Aloud "Untouchable" (3 weeks) a bit a non #1 from my chart at the time, this was good but yeah hasn't aged too greatly since! 55 Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" (3 weeks) good but quickly became unbearable and that's coming from a BEP fan too! 56 Agnes "Release Me" (2 weeks) AHHHH ANTHEM!!! 57 David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland "When Love Takes Over" (2 weeks) alright 58 Lady GaGa "Paparazzi" (3 weeks) the video >>>>>>>>> the song, although I love the song too! 59 Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" (2 weeks) might be overrated, overplayed etc but it's still a TUNE 60 Little Boots "Remedy" (6 weeks) woah didn't notice this getting 6 weeks at #1 mind you she was hugely loved on here back then, really good song though. Shame she didn't do anything chart wise after it though 61 Shakira "She Wolf" (2 weeks) good and the video was hot as anything but far from her best! 62 Madonna "Celebration" (1 week) good song 63 Cheryl Cole "Fight For This Love" (4 weeks) hmm a little controversial but I liked it at first but then like BBP became unlistenable and average. 64 Lady GaGa "Bad Romance" (10 weeks) not my fave by her but still great nonetheless! 2010 65 Alexandra Burke "Broken Heels" (2 weeks) 66 Marina & The Diamonds "Hollywood" (1 week) 67 Timbaland feat. Katy Perry "If We Ever Meet Again" (4 weeks) 68 Rihanna "Rude Boy" (1 week) 69 Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce "Telephone" (6 weeks) 70 Diana Vickers "Once" (2 weeks) 71 Alexandra Burke feat. Pitbull "All Night Long" (3 weeks) 72 Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg "California Gurls" (6 weeks) 73 Lady GaGa "Alejandro" (4 weeks) 74 Eminem feat. Rihanna "Love The Way You Lie" (2 weeks) 75 Katy Perry "Teenage Dream" (5 weeks) 76 The Saturdays "Higher" (4 weeks) 77 Rihanna "Only Girl (In The World)" (4 weeks) 78 Katy Perry "Firework" (2 weeks) 79 Nicole Scherzinger "Poison" (2 weeks) Yet another hugely female dominated list for 2010, kicking off with Alexandra Burke. Broken Heels, and All Night long later on too, managed to do what Bad Boys couldn't and peaked at #1. We also see Marina & The Diamonds with her first #1, with one of my personal favourites by her too! Ryan must've initiated some payola as Diana Vickers spent not one, but TWO weeks at #1! Interestingly, it was knocked off by Burke, who won the series of The X Factor that Diana participated in. Katy and Gaga continue to smash, with 4 and 2 #1s each. |
