Sigma to finish as high as possible. Alex Adair also.
I agree with the above though can't see anything past a Little Mix win. |

#45 LuvBug - Revive (Say Something) [1 point]
17-53-x [2 weeks] Marvin Humes' dance project LuvBug got their second top 20 hit this year with 'Revive (Say Something)' largely thanks to his association with Capital FM guaranteeing the song airplay on that station. It dropped out the chart incredibly quickly however and the group have not followed the single up since. It gets just a single point, from noted dance music stan Ethan - showing that even the regular fans of commercial dance didn't go crazy for this song. #44 Nathan Sykes - Kiss Me Quick [15 points] 14-58-x [2 weeks] The Wanted's Nathan Sykes released this as his debut single, predictably getting a lot of Capital FM support due to his Global Radio association. It was also very much helped by it being released on the 5-day week when Spotify data was unavailable. On a normal week it could well have peaked outside the top 20. Predictably it shot straight out the top 40 the following week. #43 The 1975 - Love Me [17 points] 20-65-71-x [3 weeks] The 1975 had a very successful first era, with a long-running top 20 hit in 'Chocolate' as well as a #1 album. They returned with this, the first single from their new album which has a ridiculously long title, which disappointed many on Buzzjack including myself but due to their built up fanbase became an iTunes #1 for a short time and just made the official top 20, before bombing the following week. #42 Sigma - Higher (feat. Labrinth) [21 points] 12-25-34-46-51-75-x [6 weeks] After having two #1 singles it was expected that Sigma would follow that up with yet another top 5 smash. This was said top 5 smash... on the sales only chart. Poor streaming meant it fell outside the top 10, and with such a poor chart run perhaps it never deserved to go top 10 in the first place. It's not exactly their best song either. #41 Ne-Yo - Coming With You [22 points] 14-24-42-61-x [4 weeks] Every lead single from Ne-Yo had previously made #1 in the UK singles chart, but such success could only last so long really and unsurprisingly this stopped his run of lead single #1s, missing the top 10 completely. It wasn't a particularly great song either which could explain the floppage. Maybe he would have got a top 10 had he led with 'She Knows', which followed this single up spending more weeks in the top 40 than this however only peaking at #28. |

Okay I don't mind that Sigma song so low
No losses there at all really, Revive was good for about a week. |

#40 Dappy - Beautiful Me [28 points]
19-45-67-x [3 weeks] So somehow Dappy was still relevant enough to get a top 20 single in 2015, whilst poor Tulisa missed the entire top 40 with her 'effort'. All these solo projects flopping is just more proof that what we really want is an N-Dubz comeback (or are the public past caring about that now?) This song was a non-event in any case and spent just one week in the top 40. #39 Lawson - Roads [31 points] 11-33-53-x [3 weeks] Lawson, famous for their massive drops from the top five, returned to the chart with another less-than-average song. Thanks to streaming however they didn't add another top 10 to their collection, and presumably have now been dropped from Global as we haven't heard from them since. #38 Sam Smith - Lay Me Down [33 points] 46-60-x(52)-15-17-18-19-24-21-26-32-35-38-41-44-51-57-69-x [17 weeks] Sam Smith decided to inflict aural pain on radio listeners by re-releasing 'Lay Me Down' which originally missed the top 40 though that was before he became the huge name he is today. A version featuring John "chart murderer" Legend went to #1 for two weeks whilst the original version charted simultaneously. Not a great moment for chart show listeners, although thankfully the mute button exists. In the end this version outran and outsold the Legend remix but it was never very popular on Buzzjack. #37 Tough Love - So Freakin' Tight [35 points] 11-15-24-29-34-39-45-52-55-65-64-x [11 weeks] British dance duo Tough Love released their breakthrough single, the novelty-esque 'So Freakin' Tight' and just missed the top 10, although it did have a fairly stable run. This success was a one-off however as the follow-up, a re-working of Ginuwine's 'Pony' only scraped the top 40. It is unlikely they will ever see the chart again but they did give us a fun tune in this. #36 Stormzy - WickedSkengMan 4 [41 points] 18-64-x [2 weeks] Stormzy was tipped for big success by the BBC Sound Of poll at the beginning of 2015. Throughout the year it seemed that he was yet another artist with hype but no high-charting hits, until this came along. His big fanbase quickly got this into the iTunes top 5, possibly helped by Stormzy himself giving free trainers to some people who bought the song, which somehow isn't against chart hyping rules, for some reason. He would later make the top 10 with the even better 'Shut Up'. |

No way should LuvBug be last. I wish I'd voted in this.
'Coming With You' is for me much more tolerable than most of Ne-Yo's output. |

#35 Silentó - Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae) [44 points]
69-x(2)-66-63-19-21-22-21-23-30-31-33-44-49-52-51-60-70-x(8)-43-... [18 weeks] One of the biggest viral internet hits of the year as well as being one of the biggest songs in the US, although thankfully for the sanity of numerous Buzzjack members not one of our absolute biggest hits, though I imagine it will be remembered far more than a lot of 2015's top 10 hits if only for being laughably awful. It was predictably somewhat of a hit here anyway although oddly only peaking at #19 after it was rush-released and never going any higher. #34 Jessie J - Flashlight [53 points] 62-39-14-13-16-15-18-22-29-38-45-49-49-58-61-62-62-73-x [18 weeks] Jessie J decided to inflict our ears with this, taken from the soundtrack to Pitch Perfect 2. Usually I quite like Jessie's efforts, even 'Who You Are' which many members described as screechy. This was one of her lowlights though so seeing it break the top 20 was not good to see, especially when it debuted at #62 after a held-back release having us believe it had flopped. #33 The Vamps - Wake Up [58 points] 12-56-70-x [3 weeks] After all 5 of The Vamps' singles from their debut making the UK top 10 it was to be expected that their first single from album #2 (also titled 'Wake Up') would follow suit. Alas, even with a few weeks of pre-orders, it didn't do too well and the song clearly didn't make much of an impression past their fanbase. Follow-up single 'Rest Your Love' is unlikely to make the top 40. #32 Nick Brewer - Talk To Me (feat. Bibi Bourelly) [60 points] 19-27-39-46-52-65-x [6 weeks] British rapper Nick Brewer got his debut single into the top 20, largely helped by being featured on an advert as well as getting good commercial airplay. The heavy sample of 90s smash 'Gypsy Woman' must have helped as well, and it does make for a good dance tune. #31 Natalie La Rose - Around The World (feat. Fetty Wap) [66 points] 14-40-58-73-x [4 weeks] This was released after the big summer smash and UK #2 hit 'Somebody' but didn't perform quite as well, with it getting a top 20 peak due to months of pre-orders but a very short chart run. It is also the first of two Fetty Wap entries in this countdown. |

#30 Meghan Trainor - Dear Future Husband [70 points]
61-48-40-29-25-20-21-20-23-27-35-43-47-54-69-x(4)-70-x [16 weeks] Meghan Trainor thankfully decided to save this single until after the album's release (well, it would have been even better if she didn't make this a single at all) meaning it only peaked at #20. Of course, the song was infamous on Buzzjack for sounding like Olly Murs 'Dance With Me Tonight', and generally being an awful song. #29 Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes [72 points] 11-51-71-x [3 weeks] This song acted as the winner of both Melodifestivalen and more importantly Eurovision, and became yet another Eurovision winner to chart in the top 20 unfortunately just missing out on a top 10 position but predictably dropping straight out the top 40 the following week. #28 Aurora - Half The World Away [74 points] 11-24-37-48-60-x [5 weeks] Aurora was chosen to sing this year's John Lewis advert song, which initially got much hype but more for the advert than the song, which fell quickly and became the first JL soundtrack to miss the top 10 since Slow Moving Millie in 2011. #27 DJ S.K.T. - Take Me Away (feat. Rae) [75 points] 19-29-49-66-x [4 weeks] Another decent enough deep house song got into the top 20, not one of my absolute faves but it's always good to have random dance hits. This one took a sample from whatever The Prodigy 'Warrior Dance' sampled and if I'm honest that song was better. #26 Olly Murs - Kiss Me [76 points] 16-20-20-24-27-22-13-11-19-28-31-26-... [12 weeks] Taken as the first single from the re-release of his album (because re-releasing albums a year later with a few extra tracks is somehow still a thing) this was Olly Murs' first attempt at an OA/OS release, and it's fair to say it worked well - although it of course missed the top 10. |

Dear Future Husband & Around The World thank god those are out
I think that Dappy single had real chart potential, reckon it would've been sizeable hit if someone like Sam Smith had released it |
