Afternoon all! As always, NO SPOILERS please!

Expecting Jess at #1 today but would love Clean Bandit or Anne-Marie to pull a surprise (unlikely though imo). Cardi B in the top 10 and Jonas Blue entering the top 40 would be great wub.gif

I would've been happy with a ninth week for Calvin but seeing as that's unfortunately gone to ACR at its earliest opportunity, I hope Jess can do it to give her a record 7th UK #1. biggrin.gif

Good to see Jonas Blue and Jorja Smith likely to make the top 40. Hopefully Juice WRLD can join them too.

Afternoon all hi.gif massively rooting for Clean Bandit to have edged it for the #1 spot! Jess Glynne would be a real nosedive in quality at the top after things were getting good again up there, really enjoyed both 'Nice For What' and 'One Kiss'.

Biography

A talented actress and singer, Sabrina Carpenter was born in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania on May 11, 1999. Carpenter began her acting career in 2010 with a guest role on the NBC drama Law & Order: SVU. Two years later she was cast as the best friend of Rowan Blanchard on the Disney Channel's coming-of-age sitcom Girl Meets World, the sequel to the immensely popular '90s sitcom Boy Meets World. In 2014 Carpenter inked a deal with Hollywood Records and issued the single "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying" in March of that year, which was followed by her debut EP of the same name a month later. In 2015 she delivered her debut full-length studio album, Eyes Wide Open, which featured the single "We'll Be the Stars." She returned the following year with the single "All We Have Is Love." In 2017, Carpenter teamed up with YouTube star Jasmine Thompson for a soulful cover of Harry Styles' "Sign of the Times." That same year, she worked with the Vamps and Mike Perry on the "Hands" single, as well as releasing her own solo single "Why." "Alien," Carpenter's first release of 2018, was a collaboration with British producer and DJ Jonas Blue. - iTunes

Biography

Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson (born 29 October 1987), known professionally as Tove Lo (Swedish pronunciation: [²tuːvɛ luː] lit. "Lynx"), is a Swedish singer-songwriter. Called "Sweden's darkest pop export" by Rolling Stone, she is known for her raw, grunge-influenced take on pop music. Her honest, complex and autobiographical lyrical content has led to her being dubbed "the saddest girl in Sweden".

She was born and raised in the Djursholm district of Danderyd, a northern suburb of Stockholm, and is an alumna of the musical magnet school Rytmus Musikergymnasiet. She formed the rock band Tremblebee in 2006. Following the disbanding of Tremblebee, she pursued a career in songwriting and earned a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music in 2011. Working with producers Alexander Kronlund, Max Martin, and Xenomania, she became a successful songwriter recording and independently releasing her own compositions.

In 2014, Lo was signed to Max Martin's Wolf Cousins and offered a recording deal. She signed to Island US and Polydor. She rose to fame with her debut album, Queen of the Clouds, which opened at number 14 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in October 2014. The album spawned the sleeper hit single "Habits (Stay High)", which peaked at number 3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Her second album, Lady Wood, was released in October 2016, opening at number 11 on the Billboard 200. It was promoted by the single "Cool Girl". Her third album, Blue Lips, was released in November 2017, peaking at number 138 on the Billboard 200.

In addition to her solo work, Lo has co-written a number of songs for other singers, including Lorde's "Homemade Dynamite" and Ellie Goulding's "Love Me like You Do", a song that garnered her her first Grammy Award nomination for the 58th Grammy Awards. She has collaborated with many artists like Alesso, Flume, Nick Jonas, Seven Lions, Broods, Urban Cone and Coldplay.

Biography

The Greatest Showman is a 2017 American musical drama film directed by Michael Gracey in his directorial debut, written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon and starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya. The film is inspired by the story of P. T. Barnum's creation of the Barnum & Bailey Circus and the lives of its star attractions.

Principal photography on the film began in New York City in November 2016, and it premiered on December 8, 2017, aboard the RMS Queen Mary 2. The film was released in the United States on December 20, 2017, by 20th Century Fox and has grossed $420.4 million worldwide, making it the fifth-highest grossing live-action musical of all-time.

The Greatest Showman received mixed reviews, with praise for Jackman and the rest of the performances, music, and production value but criticism aimed at the artistic license taken, with some reviewers calling it "faux-inspiring and shallow". At the 75th Golden Globe Awards, the film received nominations for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Musical or Comedy for Jackman. For the song "This Is Me", the film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and was nominated for Best Original Song at the 90th Academy Awards.

Also is this "A Million Dreams" first play on the chart? I've never heard it before.

Does this indicate that the DJs must have some choice in what they play?
