33. Gwen Stefani - Spark The Fire = Avg.[3.738]

Highest Rates: 7 [Acidburn, Riser]
Lowest Rates: 0/-1 [Mr Aly, Liam, Cremey, Dandystar]

32. Gwen Stefani (Ft Pharrell Williams) - Can I Have It Like That = Avg.5.181

Highest Rates: 10 [Mack]
Lowest Rates: -1 [Heezus Froot]

So starting off our countdown is Gwen's most recent comeback flop "Spark The Fire", released in December 2014 and taken as the so far 2nd single from her third yet to be released album. Which to be honest doesn't seem to be going very well, her previous single "BDL" wasn't a big hit either, but at least that managed to chart in several countries, this however was a total bomb, it didn't chart anywhere and was panned by pretty much everyone upon release. Even Buzzjack hated it with it's terrible average of 3, and the highest score it got was 7, 18 of them were 5 or under, and this was the only song not to score over a 100 points, despite 22 rates.

Next up at #32 with a much higher average is "Can I Have It Like That" another Pharrell production, only this time it's one of his own, taken from his debut album "In My Mind" and released in October 2005, making this her 4th single released that year and became a success in the UK by peaking at #3, but was unsuccessful in the USA by reaching #49. Not one of the finer moments from either artist to be honest, a very generic R&B number which I pretty much forgot about until this rate.

31. No Doubt - Hey You = Avg.[5.775]

Highest Rates: 8 [Atonement], 7 [Liam, West, Riser]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Auron87, Jark, Mach Kauto]

At #31 is the first of the No Doubt singles to drop is "Hey You", released in February 1998 as the final single from their 3rd album "Tragic Kingdom" in Netherlands only and also final to feature the band's original keyboardist Eric Stefani, who joined them in 1994. The music video was a live performance from their "Live In The Tragic Kingdom" concert and was directed by Sophie Muller and released only in that country where it was a minor hit by peaking at #51.

30. Gwen Stefani (Ft Slim Thug) - Luxurious = Avg.[5.833]

Highest Rates: 11 [Nick F1], 9 [Liam]
Lowest Rates: -1 [Mr Aly]

At #30 is another Gwen Stefani solo effort to drop "Luxurious", released in October 2005 and taken as the 5th single from her debut album "Love Angel Music Baby" and contains a sample of The Isley Brothers 1983 song "Between The Sheets", and was also remixed for it's single release to feature rapper Slim Thug. It was also one of two songs from the album written and produced with Tony Kanal whose the bassist from No Doubt. The song performed quite well in the USA by reaching #21, but elsewhere it didn't perform as well as the previous singles, especially in the UK where it missed the top 40, peaking at #44 her first to miss the top 20. It managed top 10 peaks in Finland and Canada, top 20 in New Zealand, then top 40 peaks in Australia, Netherlands, Italy, Ireland and Swiss. This was the last worldwide single from the album, the follow up was released only in the USA.

29. Gwen Stefani - Now That You Got It (Ft Damien Marley) = Avg.[5.909]

Highest Rates: 11 [Heezus Froot], 9 [American Oxygen]
Lowest Rates: 0 [Griff]

At #29 is Gwen Stefani's "Now That You Got It", released in October 2007 as the 4th single from her 2nd album "The Sweet Escape". In it's original album form the track received mixed to negative reviews, but when it was remixed to feature Damian Marley for the single version, it received praise and gave the track a more reggae feel, but it didn't translate into chart success by becoming her first solo hit to not chart at all in the USA, or any of the other charts there. Elsewhere it bombed in the UK by limping at #59, due to lack of promo or interest. It managed a top 20 peak in Norway and top 40 peaks in New Zealand, Italy and Australia.

28. No Doubt - Running = Avg.[6.4]

Highest Rates: 11 [Nick F1], 10 [Cremey]
Lowest Rates: 1 [Heezus Froot], 2 [fgiboy2511]

At #28 is No Doubt with "Running" released in July 2003 as the 4th and final single from their 5th album "Rock Steady", it didn't match the album's previous successful singles by peaking at #62 in the USA, the only single not to reach the top 20 there. It wasn't given a full worldwide release and the only other country it charted in was Germany where it reached #55. It did have some okay scores on here with a 11 and a 10, a couple of 9's, but several low scores at the beginning and middle which it was unable to recover from.

27. No Doubt - Excuse Me Mr = Avg.[6.425]

Highest Rates: 9 [Kellyann], 8.5/8 [West, Jark, Frank]
Lowest Rates: 3 [Kylie Jackson, Mack Kauto]

At #27 is No Doubt's "Excuse Me Mr" which featured on their breakthrough album "Tragic Kingdom" and later on their Greatest Hits album. Released in August 1996 as the follow up to "Don't Speak" in some countries, and charted best in New Zealand by peaking at #11. There are two versions of this song, one with country and folk influences and another in punk rock, but producer preferred the former, while the band preferred the latter, but it ended up getting lost in a studio accident and they chose to re-record the punk version, while the country version still remains unreleased.

Aw Running and Luxurious should be hgher for sure sad.gif

26. Gwen Stefani (Ft Moby) - South Side = Avg.[6.447]

Highest Rates: 10 [West, Heezus Froot]
Lowest Rates: 3 [Fgiboy2511, Kellyann]

At #26 is Gwen Stefani's first ever solo effort "South Side" which features Moby and released in October 2000 as the 8th single from his album "Play", although Gwen's vocals doesn't appear on the album version itself due to production problems, but was re-recorded for it's single release and became a success on the USA charts by reaching #14, becoming his biggest and only song to chart to date, and was Gwen's first taste of solo success, it charted better in Canada by reaching #3, but wasn't given a release outside of those countries and remains one of her least known solo releases to date.

Posted by: Acidburn 5th July 2015, 05:06 PM

25. No Doubt - Looking Hot = Avg.[6.5]

Highest Rates: 9 [West, Heezus Froot, Cremey]
Lowest Rates: 2 [Kylie Jackson]

At #25 we have No Doubt's most recent single "Looking Hot", released in November 2012 as the 2nd and final single from their 6th album "Push And Shove" and became their least successful single by limping into the UK charts at #397, despite a performance on X Factor. Originally the title track was thought to be the 2nd single due to it having a music video, but they decided upon this instead.

24. Gwen Stefani - Wind It Up = Avg.[6.727]

Highest Rates: 11 [Cremey], 10 [Henderella, Liam]
Lowest Rates: -1 [West, Griff]

At #24 is Gwen Stefani's "Wind It Up" released in October 2006 as the lead single from her 2nd album "The Sweet Escape" and caused quite a stir, the critics hated it and fans didn't know what to make of it and Gwen became inspired by her favourite film "The Sound Of Music" for this song and even asked DJ Jeremy Healy to create a mash up with this and "The Lonely Goatheard", and when she heard it she loved it, but her co-writer Pharrell Williams hated the mash up and yodelling. Despite the reception the song became a big success by topping the New Zealand charts and hitting top 5 in UK, Netherlands and Australia, as well as top 10 peaks in Finland, Italy, Belgium, Norway, USA and Ireland, then top 20 mostly everywhere else.

23. Gwen Stefani - Crash = Avg.[6.761]

Highest Rates: 10 [Acidburn, Kylie Jackson, Nick F1]
Lowest Rates: 1 [Mack Kauto]

At #23 is Gwen Stefani's "Crash" which was released in January 2006 as the 6th and final single from her debut album "Love Angel Music Baby", although not originally planned as a single, but she decided upon this due to her pregnancy which would delay the release of her 2nd album and decided to give the fans something while they wait for new material. The song was only given a USA release and success was limited due to the album already been out a year and sold bucket loads, this managed to peak at #49 on the Billboard charts, becoming the album's sixth entry on the top 50 and hung around for 8 weeks, and plus promo was also limited due there being only a live concert performance was used as the music video.

Posted by: jark 5th July 2015, 06:20 PM

I used to love Crash, but now I find it kind of tuneless. I still enjoy the verses and bridge mind you. But that chorus is just shouting.

Posted by: JSG 5th July 2015, 06:59 PM

OMG Wind It Up is criminally low. SO IKONEK sad.gif

Posted by: Cremey 5th July 2015, 09:08 PM

'Crash' aside, the rest of the last five should've been much higher! Four of my favourites.
The 'Looking Hot' video being removed was so ridiculous, no wonder it wasn't a hit anywhere. I doubt the video would've made that much difference but still!

Posted by: Cremey 5th July 2015, 09:09 PM

...when I said last 5 I was including Running and not Excuse Me Mr.

Genuinely surprised Wind It Up has left so early! I absolutely adore it. So barmy, great production and just perfect for Gwen.

Posted by: Regina 5th July 2015, 09:14 PM

Wind It Up is my fave Gwen song sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 5th July 2015, 09:19 PM

Wind It Up is an absolute tune. Flawless.

I heard this just a couple of days ago and thought the same. It's good but doesn't seemed to have aged well for me as I used to adore it!

22. No Doubt - Spiderwebs = Avg.[7.025]

Highest Rates: 10 [Jark, Riser]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Mr Aly, Aphrodite, Mack Kauto]

At #22 is No Doubt's "Spiderwebs" released in November 1995 and taken as the 2nd single from their album "Tragic Kingdom". It didn't chart on the US Top 100, but charted well on the component charts #5 on Modern Rock Tracks, #11 on Mainstream Top 40 and #29 on Adult Top 40. The song wasn't released worldwide until 1996 or 1997 and released as the 3rd single following the success of "Just A Girl" and "Don't Speak". With top 20 peaks in Canada and UK, then top 40 in Sweden and New Zealand.

21. No Doubt - Sunday Morning = Avg.[7.15]

Highest Rates: 10 [West]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Fgiboy2511]

Just outside the top 20 is another No Doubt single "Sunday Morning", released in May 1997 as the 5th and final single from their "Tragic Kingdom" album, (and now leaving only the 2 well known ones in the running). Composing for this song began when band member Tony Kanal was having a fight with Gwen Stefani, through the bathroom door of his parents house, but Gwen later changed the lyrics to discuss their breakup instead. The song wasn't as successful as the album's previous singles by failing to reach top 20 anywhere, the highest was a #21 peak in Australia and also top 40 in Canada. In the UK it was released as the 4th single and missed the top 40 by peaking at #50.

Spiderwebs should have been much higher sad.gif

20. No Doubt (Ft Bounty Killer) - Hey Baby = Avg.[7.227]

Highest Rates: 9 [Acidburn, American Oxygen, Nick F1, Liam, Jark, Kellyann, Cremey, Mack Kauto, Dandystar]
Lowest Rates: -1 [Fgiboy2511, Griff]

Kicking off the top 20 is No Doubt's iconic "Hey Baby", making this a triple whammy. Released in October 2001 as the lead single from their 5th album "Rock Steady". The song marked a change of pace for the band by using Jamaican dancehall sounds and featuring rapper Bounty Killer and became a massive success for the band and even won them a younger audience as well as a Grammy award for Best Pop Performance by Duo or Group. It reached #5 in the USA, becoming their highest charting and most successful hit at the time, and fared even better in the UK by reaching #2, becoming their biggest hit in 5 years since "Don't Speak" and put them back in public favour after their previous album "Return Of Saturn" and it's singles didn't fare well there. Elsewhere it reached top 5 in New Zealand, Norway, Romania and top 10 in Australia, and Germany, along with top 20 peaks in Italy, Swiss, Austria, Netherlands, Ireland and Sweden. Oddly enough this didn't manage any 10's on this, but did score 9 9's which is very impressive and mainly 8's after that, and only 3 low rates.

19. Gwen Stefani - Early Winter = Avg.[7.38]

Highest Rates: 10 [Auron87, Nick F1, Liam]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Fgiboy2511]

At #19 is Gwen Stefani's "Early Winter", now this surprised me, I honestly didn't think that this would get this high, but the scores speak for themselves and to be honest I think that "WIU" deserved to be higher than this and swap places. Released in January 2008 as the 5th and final single from her 2nd album "The Sweet Escape". Written by Keane's frontman Tim Rice Oakley and funnily enough it does influence their sound. When released it had limited success by not getting a full worldwide release, like in the UK or USA after her the poor response to "NTYGI". But was successful in Germany by reaching #6 becoming the joint highest with the title track charting single there, as well as top 20 peaks in Swiss and Finland, then top 40 in Austria faring better than her previous single in those countries.

Posted by: Acidburn 6th July 2015, 03:18 PM

18. No Doubt - Simple Kind Of Life = Avg.[7.45]

Highest Rates: 11 [Riser], 10 [West]
Lowest Rates: 1 [Fgiboy2511]

At #18 is No Doubt's "Simple Kind Of Life" released in June 2000 as the 2nd single from their 4th album "Return Of Saturn" and lyrically discusses Gwen's desire to settle down and have a family. It was the album's most successful single in the USA by reaching #38, but elsewhere it didn't fare well due to lack of exposure by missing the top 50 in Canada, in the UK it became their lowest charting single at the time by reaching only #69, then finally making small dents on the top 100 in Australia and Netherlands.

Posted by: Acidburn 6th July 2015, 03:29 PM

17. No Doubt - New = Avg.[7.55]

Highest Rates: 11 [Heezus Froot], 10 [Auron87]
Lowest Rates: 3 [Mack Kauto]

At #17 is another "ROS" era single "New" released in May 1999 as the first single from "Return Of Saturn" and featured on the movie soundtrack to "Go". This also marks their first since the departure of Eric Stefani and marked a different sound for the group switching from ska punk to new wave. In the USA it failed to crack the US Top 100 by peaking at #123, but fared much better on Alternative songs chart by reaching top 10. In the UK it had a much better reception by reaching #30 becoming their 4th top 40 hit.

16. Gwen Stefani (Ft Eve) - Let Me Blow Ya Mind = Avg.[7.704]

Highest Rates: 11 [Griff, Riser], 10 [Jark, Kellyann]
Lowest Rates: 1 [Heezus Froot]

At #16 is "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" a single by Eve (what ever happened to her) and features Gwen Stefani, making this her 2nd solo single. Released in May 2001 and taken from Eve's 2nd album "Scorpion" as the 2nd and final release. The song became a big success for both singers and became one of the most played songs of the summer and eventually won a Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Female Video at the MTV Music Video awards. In the USA it reached #2 and in the UK it reached #4 becoming Gwen's first solo top 5 hit and Eve's 2nd top 10 hit at the time. Elsewhere it smashed worldwide by topping the charts in Australia, Belgium, France, Ireland and Swiss, and top 5 in Netherlands, Denmark and Germany, along with top 10 peaks in Austria, Sweden and New Zealand.

15. Gwen Stefani - Baby Don't Lie = Avg.[7.952]

Highest Rates: 10 [American Oxygen, Heezus Froot]
Lowest Rates: 6.5 [Dandystar]

At #15 is another Gwen Stefani single "Baby Don't Lie" which was her comeback single, her first solo release in 6 years since "Early Winter", and marked a more mature sound for her and surprised many after she said that after releasing 2 solo albums, she never wanted to record any solo material ever again and returned to No Doubt in 2012. But after making a live appearance with long time friend and producer Pharrell Williams, it seemed that a comeback was in the works and months later in October 2014 this was released. It became a moderate success worldwide by reaching top 40 in Finland, Canada, Netherlands, Slovakia, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary and New Zealand. In the USA it peaked at #46 becoming her 12th solo hit to chart on the top 100.

If I remembered to rate, I would have given 'Hey Baby' it's ONLY 10. ohmy.gif I'm actually shocked, it's such a jam!

OMG I would Have Given Early Winter my 11 if I had voted too! It's her best single for me. Such a Gem wub.gif

14. No Doubt - Underneath It All = Avg.[8]

Highest Rates: 10 [Acidburn, Henderella, Riser]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Dandysta, Mack Kauto]

At #14 is No Doubt's "Underneath It All" released in August 2002 as the 3rd single from their 5th album "Rock Steady" and features guest vocals by Lady Saw. The song is their biggest hit in the USA reaching #3 and won a Grammy for Best Pop performance by duo or group. Elsewhere it was less successful, in the UK it reached #18, becoming their 6th top 20 hit and in other countries it hit top 10 in New Zealand and top 40 in Australia, Romania, Austria, Canada and Sweden and lower peaks everywhere else.

13. Gwen Stefani - 4 In The Morning = Avg.[8.090]

Highest Rates: 10 [West, Nick F1, Frank, MIKEMYER]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Mack Kauto]

At #13 is one of Gwen's most beautiful and underrated numbers yet "4 In The Morning" released in June 2007 as the 3rd single from her 2nd album "The Sweet Escape" and despite rave reviews it became her lowest charting single in the USA peaking at #54, her first to miss the top 50 but fared better elsewhere by reaching top 10 in New Zealand, Romania, Australia and Finland. In the UK it reached #22 and to date stands as her final top 40 hit. It also managed top 20 peaks in Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Italy, Austria, Germany and Swiss. It managed mainly high scores on here with 4 10's and 8 9's and several 8's and 7's.

Posted by: Acidburn 7th July 2015, 08:43 PM

12. No Doubt - Settle Down = Avg.[8.181]

Highest Rates: 10 [Heezus Froot, Kellyann, Frank, Cremey]
Lowest Rates: 1 [Fgiboy2511]

At #12 is No Doubt's comeback single "Settle Down" released in July 2012 as the lead single from their 6th album "Push And Shove", making this their first release in 8 years, while they went on hiatus, like Gwen starting her solo project and the rest spending time with their family's. The song received positive reviews but was only a moderate success on the charts, by reaching #34 on the USA charts and managed top 40 peaks in Austria, Canada, Japan, Germany and New Zealand.

Posted by: Acidburn 7th July 2015, 08:52 PM

11. No Doubt - Ex Girlfriend = Avg.[8.2]

Highest Rates: 10 [Mr Aly, Kylie Jackson, Kellyann, MIKEMYER]
Lowest Rates: 6 [Mack Kauto]

At #11 and just outside the top 10 is No Doubt's "Ex Girlfriend" released in May 2000 as the lead single from their "Return Of Saturn" and was originally gonna be a ballad about her relationship with Gavin Rossdale, but since the album already contained so many ballads, she decided to change the tempo and in it's music video it showed Gwen's new pink hair look. The single was a moderate success when released by reaching top 10 in Australia and Spain, and top 20 in New Zealand, Finland, Netherlands, Sweden and Swiss. Then finally it made top 40 peaks in UK, Germany and Canada.

Posted by: Acidburn 8th July 2015, 05:28 PM

10. No Doubt - Bathwater = Avg.[8.325]

Highest Rates: 10 [Atonement, Nick F1, Heezus Froot, Liam, Kellyann, MIKEMYER]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Mack Kauto]

At #10 is No Doubt's "Bathwater" which was released in April 2004 as the 2nd and final single from their greatest hits album "The Singles 1991-2003". It was originally included on their "Return Of Saturn" album and released as the final single in November 2000, but was a commercial failure by barely receiving any airplay in the USA and only charted in 2 countries Australia and Germany, failing to chart in the top 70 in each country. Several years later the track saw new life by getting remixed and hit the UK top 20 peaking at #17, this would be their last single until 2012 as the group went on a long extended break.

Posted by: Acidburn 8th July 2015, 05:46 PM

09. Gwen Stefani - Rich Girl (Ft Eve) = Avg.[8.363]

Highest Rates: 10 [Acidburn, Fgiboy2511, Henderella, American Oxygen, Liam, MIKEMYER]
Lowest Rates: 1 [Griff]

At #9 is Gwen Stefani's "Rich Girl", released in December 2004 as the 2nd single from her debut album "Love Angel Music Baby" and features Eve making this their 2nd collaboration together after "Let Me Blow Ya Mind". The song is a remake of Louchie Lou and Michie One's 1993 song, which itself is an interploration of "If I Were A Rich Man" from the 1964 musical "Fiddler On The Roof". The song became another smash hit for both singers by reaching #7 on the US Top 100 becoming her first solo top 10 hit and the albums 2nd most successful single. In the UK it matched the peak of their previous hit by reaching #4 and elsewhere it managed top 5 peaks in Australia, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, Belgium and France, and top 10/20 peaks in seven other countries. The scores were very positive on here with 6 10's, 8 9's and then a lot of 7's and 8's, there were only 2 low rates a 1 and a 5. But glad that this did well on here and it does stand as one of my faves from her and I rushed out to buy the album after hearing this and never looked back, such a brilliant album.

08. Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl = Avg.[8.454]

Highest Rates: 11 [Fgiboy2511, Mack Kauto, MIKEMYER], 10 [Acidburn, Henderella, Kylie Jackson, Liam, Frank]
Lowest Rates: 3 [Dandystar]

At #8 is one of Gwen's signature tracks "Hollaback Girl" released in March 2005 as the 3rd single from her debut album "Love Angel Music Baby" and was written as a response to Courtney Love's statement saying that Gwen was a cheerleader, and was stated as a fun record and had a polarizing effect on the public, but that didn't stop it from becoming a chart smash by topping the US charts for 4 weeks becoming her most successful solo hit to date and ended up becoming the year's 2nd biggest selling single behind Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together". In the UK it wasn't quite as successful by peaking at #8 becoming her 4th solo top 10 hit, but it did manage to outsell her previous hit "RG" and spend 15 weeks on the chart. Elsewhere it also managed to top the Australian chart becoming her 2nd #1 over there and hit top 5 peaks in Germany, New Zealand, Ireland, Austria and Danish as well as top 10 in Belgium, Italy, Norway, Swiss, Sweden, Netherlands and Finland, then top 20 everywhere else.

07. Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape (Ft Akon) = Avg.[8.704]

Highest Rates: 11 [Acidburn, Aphrodite] 10 [Mr Aly, Fgiboy2511, Kylie Jackson, American Oxygen, Kellyann, Frank, MIKEMYER]
Lowest Rates: 0 [Griff]

At #7 is my personal fave Gwen Stefani single "The Sweet Escape" which was released in December 2006 as the 2nd single from her 2nd album of the same name and features pointless backing vocals by Akon, who honestly wasn't needed and this could have been easily credited as her solo effort. Originally Gwen wasn't keen on working with Akon and cancelled many of their sessions and didn't want to create a generic hip hop song, but when Akon came up with the beat to this, they ended up writing the song in 10 minutes and the rest was history. The song became the album's most successful single by reaching #2 in the USA as well as matching that peak in the UK becoming her biggest solo hit and best selling single from the album in both countries. Worldwide again the song was a massive success doing better than the lead single "Wind It Up", it topped the charts in New Zealand and hit top 5 in Australia, Canada, Norway, Belgium, France, Ireland and Netherlands, and also top 10 peaks in Austria, Germany, Danish, Finland and Swiss, then top 20 everywhere else.

06. No Doubt - Just A Girl = Avg.[8.761]

Highest Rates: 11 [American Oxygen, Jark, Aphrodite, Frank] 10 [MIKEMYER]
Lowest Rates: 4 [Fgiboy2511]

At #6 we come back to No Doubt after a triple loss of Gwen singles. "Just A Girl" which stands one of their best known songs, originally released in September 1995 as the lead single from "Tragic Kingdom" and helped the band finally break into the mainstream by becoming their first song to chart on the USA billboard charts peaking at #23. This also marked a change in the band's sound after original song writer Eric Stefani left the band and the rest of them took up writing the lyrics to their 3rd album which was also their breakthrough. In the UK it was also their first single and only managed a #38 peak, but after the success of "Don't Speak" it was re-released and reached #3 becoming their 2nd top 10 hit. The song also became a success in other countries by reaching top 10 in Australia, New Zealand and Norway, along with top 40 peaks everywhere else, becoming their breakthrough in some countries, or becoming more successful after it's re-release in other countries.

05. Gwen Stefani - Cool = Avg.[8.863]

Highest Rates:11 [Mr Aly]. 10 [Acidburn, Fgiboy2511, West, Auron87, Nick F1, Heezus Froot, Jark, Cremey, Riser]
Lowest Rates: 6 [American Oxygen, Griff, Frank]

At #5 is Gwen Stefani's "Cool", which now leaves only one of her solo efforts left to come (but where will that end up), now this shocked me, I was expecting this to finish around top 15 or so, but honestly glad it's done so much better as it settles into the top 5. Released in June 2005 and taken as the 4th single from her debut album "Love Angel Music Baby", the song was co written by Dallas Austin who was himself inspired by her band's songs "Underneath It All" and "Simple Kind Of Life", but he was unable to finish it and asked Gwen for assistance and they wrote it in 15 minutes and plus I just love that into on the music video version. The song became another success for her by reaching #13 on the USA charts and hit #11 on the UK charts. Elsewhere it managed top 10 peaks in Netherlands, New Zealand and Australia, while hitting top 20 in Ireland, Danish, Austria, Italy, Norway, Finland and Germany.

At #4 is No Doubt's "Hella Good" released in April 2002 as the 2nd single from their fifth album "Rock Steady" and this continued their successful comeback they had with "Hey Baby" and this became another hit for them by reaching #13 on the USA charts and fared slightly better in the UK by peaking at #12, elsewhere it hit top 10 in Australia and top 20 in New Zealand, then top 40 peaks in Canada and Ireland.

So there's just 3 left now, 2 from No Doubt and one from Gwen Stefani =

No Doubt - Don't Speak
No Doubt - It's My Life
Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For

who will come out on top...

'Hella Good' should have won the whole thing, but I can't argue with the 3 remaining.

Just a Girl is such a monster tune. So much better than Hella Good. Generally though these results are looking pretty fair for once! It's My Life to win.

Don't Speak and What You Waiting For are both in my top 40 ever so either be a brilliant winner, I prefer WYWF just slightly though. It's My Life would by no means be a bad winner though, fabulous song.

I'm surprised that Cool is the second highest rated LAMB single, but well deserved! Also happy that Bathwater made the top 10. It's My Life or WYWF to win (Don't Speak is also amazing, but it would be too predictable).

03. No Doubt - It's My Life = Avg.[9.477]

Highest Rates: 11 [Fgiboy2511, Henderella, Kylie Jackson] 10 [My Aly, Acidburn, West, American Oxygen, Heezus Froot, Liam, Jark, Kellyann, Aphrodite, Mack Kauto]
Lowest Rates: 7 [Atonement]

At #3 is the ever brilliant single by No Doubt "It's My Life", the results were very close throughout and this was actually at #1 at one point, but around halfway through this slipped, but still managed a respectable top 3 position. Released in October 2003 as the lead single from their greatest hits album "The Singles 1991-2003", This song is actually a cover and originally sung by Talk Talk in 1984 and was a moderate success for them worldwide, but No Doubt became the first to take it to the US Top 10 and UK top 20. The band decided upon an 80's cover for the greatest hits album in favour of writing new songs and in the end it was between this and INXS "Don't Change", which would have been interesting, but glad they went with this, as they certainly did it justice and made it better than the original. The song hit #10 in the USA becoming their 3rd and final top 10 hit and in the UK it peaked at #20, but was later re-released in 2004 as a double a-side with "Bathwater" and made a better peak of #17. Elsewhere it managed top 5 peaks in Norway, Netherlands and Sweden as well as top 10 in Ireland, Netherlands, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, Belgium and Germany.

02. No Doubt - Don't Speak = Avg.[9.659]

Highest Rates: 11 [Acidburn, West, Liam, Mack Kauto, MIKEMYER] 10 [Henderella, Kylie Jackson, Auron87, Nick F1, Heezus Froot, Kellyann, Frank, Cremey]
Lowest Rates: 7/7.5 [Fgiboy2511, Dandystar]

We are now almost at the end and in the runner spot is No Doubt's "Don't Speak", which means Gwen Stefani's debut solo single is the winner. But for now let's talk about No Doubt's amazing and brilliant "Don't Speak", which became their breakthrough and put these guys on the map with an alltime iconic classic. Again this was also #1 at one point on this rate, in fact the entire top 3 has swapped places throughout the scoring process, but in the end this missed out by just 4 points. Surprisingly this song didn't enter the US Top 100 due to the chart rules at the time of this not getting a commercial release, but it did top the top 100 airplay chart for 16 weeks, and probably would have done the same on the official charts if properly released. But in the UK it was properly released and became their first and only #1 hit and has to date sold over 900,000 copies and became one of the biggest selling songs of the year. Elsewhere it topped the charts in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Danish, Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and Swiss and top 5 everywhere becoming their crossover success.

01. Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For = Avg.[9.818]

Highest Rates: 11 [West, Henderella, Kylie Jackson, Auron87, Liam, Kellyann, Frank, Dandystar] 10 [Acidburn, Mr Aly, American Oxygen, Heezus Froot, Griff, Jark, Aphrodite, Cremey, MIKEMYERS]
Lowest Rates: 6 [Fgiboy2511, Atonement]

So here we have it our official #1 out of No Doubt and Gwen Stefani's solo hits, it's her first official solo debut that wins this overall rate with the excellent "What You Waiting For" which was the start of a successful run of singles for her and getting her solo career off to a flying start. This was actually one of the first songs she wrote for the album with Linda Perry after she forced her into a chokehold, another song was written called "Fine By You" which I don't think has been recorded and this also the first time Gwen introduced the Harajuku Girls after becoming inspired by them and even wrote a song about them on her album. Released in September 2004 as the lead single from "Love Angel Music Baby" and won rave reviews, in the USA it wasn't strongly received by peaking at #47, but fared much better elsewhere like in the UK where it reached #4 as well as topping the charts in Australia and hitting top 5 in Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, New Zealand, Norway, Belgium, Finland and France.

So there you have it we have come to the end and I would like thank everybody's whose voted and made this a success.
