I was listening to the entire playlist and imagining a situation where I didn't know which country sent which song.

Would I be able to work out, without knowing any language other than English, who sent what.

Two were very obvious possibilities - Moldova could have sent the Estonian song and Switzerland could have sent the Latvian song.

What do you think? Are there examples from previous years?

Norway could have sent Unforgettable - as the act is Norwegian I may have even assumed it!

I wouldn't immediately associate Ireland with Bambie Thug, I might have assumed that was Finland or Czechia perhaps.

Luxembourg has a whiff of Malta to it.

I think Ireland could also have sent the Swedish song and would have been slated for sending another bland pop song.biggrin.gif

Ireland haven’t sent anything close to as current and well produced as Unforgettable, possibly ever laugh.gif

I could’ve imagined Zari being sent by Spain, given the song gives me strong Rosalia/reggaeton teas. Not sure it reminds me of Greece immediately!

That's true. As featureless as it is, it's still far more modern than anything Ireland has sent. (Until this year).

Well, I'm actually mostly in this situation... So I thought I'd guess who sent what!

Some I didn't have a clue, some were glaringly obvious - Ukraine, UK, Italy, and France in particular, though Liar is Cyprus all over too!). Vaguely knowing Spanish and Portuguese (very similar languages) helped me place them too. Some others are correct, but most are wrong!

Albania: Raiven - Veronika
Australia: Mustii - Before the Party's Over
Austria: Aiko - Pedestal
Azerbaijan: Fahree feat. Ílkin Dovletov - Özünlə Apar
Belgium: Electric Fields - One Milkali (One Blood)
Croatia: Natalia Barbu - In the Middle
Cyprus: Silia Kapsis - Liar
Czechia: Windows95Man - No Rules!
Denmark: SABA - SAND
Estonia: Teya Dora - Ramonda
Finland: Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim
France: Slimane - Mon amour
Georgia: Ladaniva - Jako
Germany: Marcus & Martinus - Unforgettable
Greece: Marina Satti - ZARI
Iceland: Hera Björk - Scared of Heights
Ireland: ISAAK - Always on the run
Israel: Eden Golan - Hurricane
Italy: Angelina Mango - La noia
Latvia: Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue
Lithuania: Nutsa - Firefighter
Luxembourg: TALI - Fighter (could feasibly be Belgium or Switzerland, but i think they're more likely to be other songs, and no idea what the Luxembourg style will be - the other francophone song is solely in Frence, so that's got to be France!)
Malta: Sarah Bonnici - Loop
Moldova: Silvester Belt - Luktelk
Netherlands: Nemo - The Code
Norway: Gåte - Ulveham
Poland: Besa - TiTAN
Portugal: iolanda - Grito
San Marino: Megara - 11:11
Slovenia: 5MIINUST & Puuluup - (nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi
Spain: Nebulossa - ZORRA
Sweden: LUNA - The Tower
Switzerland: Dons - Hollow
United Kingdom: Olly Alexander - Dizzy
Ukraine: alyona alyona & Jerry Heil - Teresa & Maria

Germany wishes! I think you were being very generous to them, thinking that they could send something as good as Unforgettable kink.gif

Sweden was my second choice for them, but I couldn't fit LUNA anywhere else!

Genuinely would have expected UK or Ireland to send the Tom Grennan song... Not Germany!

Oops, missed a couple of countries/songs!

Armenia & Serbia. Europapa and We Will Rave... Which I couldn't see either sending 😂

I can identify Europapa as Dutch or German, but it could feasibly be sent as a novelty from so many countries... I'd say maybe Serbia - though I'd probably take Electric Fields from Belgium and give it to them instead (if I was still guessing...).

So:
Belgium would be Europapa
Serbia would be One Milkali
Armenia would be We Will Rave (my last leftover, and I wouldn't be able to swap out any [in my mind] that would fit Georgia with We Will Rave also fitting them...)
