Simple, what games are you enjoying right now? Feel free to use this as a general chat topic and maybe a testing ground to see if any game you like could be spun off into a topic for itself.
I got Lego Marvel Superheros 2 for Crimbo so just started that. The fact She Hulk is a somehwat major character makes me moist tbh.
Civilisation 3 again! Playing as the Celts in the Medieval Europe campaign as I unlocked them as a playable civilisation using the editor!
Probably gonna get back into my normal DDR routine soon.
At the moment I’m of course playing Call of Duty: WWII.
They’ve done this SO right. Every thing feels real, especially compared to 2016’s Infinite Warfare. It’s definitely in my top 5 all time CoD titles, perhaps even top 3, but I haven’t really ranked them yet.
Also got Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for Christmas. I haven’t played much of it yet but I of course know it very well as I’ve played the original!
Also playing Sonic Forces. It isn’t worth money!
Also playing YoWorld (YoVille) still on a daily basis since 2009.
Rome huh, now that's a name I don't hear often in the context of the EU series. That's kind of like an expansion to III, right? I have III but I just can't really go back to it because IV is so much better and it has achievements and is the absolute best game ever.
I've just bought Civ VI. I've been wanting to buy it since release and with it currently being easily past its lowest price ever PLUS six random other games to get in a month, subscribing to Humble Monthly to get it is a steal.
Do you play CoD Iz?
The CoD MW2 campaign is actually my all time favourite from the franchise! Incredible.
I’m more of an online player to be honest, so I guess we’re just polar opposites of each other
I do like some single-player gaming, but it doesn’t excite me as much as online gaming does.
It cost me £29.99 IIRC! I low-key wish I returned it to get my money back.
I got it £32.99 in Game on release day Both what we paid is really double what it's worth at best!
I don’t mind paying a lot for games if they’re worth it. Like for example I paid £49 for the new Call Of Duty game, but it’s worth every penny!
Right now I am pretty obsessed with Minecraft From playing online to playing single player and peacefully building my house. I quite like games that are peaceful although I do quite enjoy the opposite like tense or shoot em ups etc too.
I've just finished the original InFamous (I got it off Sony for that time like 10 years ago when the whole YLOD thing came about ) so I've decided to start South Park: The Stick of Truth.
Loving it at the minute; the humour is exactly what I'd expect, and it's staying very true to the TV show so far. The gameplay is great as well (I love RPGs so that was a given)!
At the moment I'm mostly cycling between the ultimate time sink that is Rocket League and the very confusing murder mystery visual novel that is Umineko When They Cry.
Currently playing: Rocket League
Another Paradox game, Crusader Kings II!
I started off as a count in Aargua in the Holy Roman Empire, plotted and schemed to take the county of upper Burgundy and as the same countess achieved that aim. I deposed most of the other counts so I could rule directly myself AND after crusading against muslim invaders in Sicily the pope make me Queen of Sicily! Unfortunately I had gavelkind succession so my next character lost half his titles to stupid siblings and then he died in battle after only a couple of years (he was amazing as well) so I'm now his daughter. The territory I own is so messy rn because I have a couple of counties in Eastern and Northern Germany through grants from the Emperor and dodgey inheritance. as well as (obvs) parts of Sicily.
If you don't play the game that will all seem like nonsense soz.
ETA: Oh yeah and my current character's cruel, nihilistic, a drunkard, a lunatic, a glutton and a kinslayer (had to kill off a couple of sisters because they had counties I wanted) so no one likes her much sadly.
I am in the middle of an intense war with the Ottomans as Byzantium. It's not quite a war for survival, I've already beaten them in one war but they've come back for round 2
I'm on a Roman theme as I've also got quite the interesting Roman Civ 5 game going on right now. Best nation state.
8 Ball Pool on Facebook. Just started
Just finished the second chapter of Higurashi. WHAT A VN so far, and I've still got several chapters to go. It's the perfect horror/mystery game/story I feel I was waiting to get into. So many things that caught me off guard even though I thought I knew the deal from the first one.
also I want to make a statement that Mion is best girl forever and ever and no one will ever dissuade me from that view.
The new South Park - really funny and much better than the first.
Downloaded the Batman Telltale game to play soon whilst it’s still free, then next week I’m going to download Knack as that is free.
So a couple years ago I could only barely pass this song and now I’ve got a full combo
planning to go to some arcade in carlsbad to play DDR A as well
Finally blitzing through GTA V, had it ages and didn't get that far but I'm proper into it now. It does take a while to do some missions because it's so fun doing simple stuff and I've gotten into putting the super jump cheat on and just leaping across the map, even that is just too fun
I haven’t played GTA in years!
I bought the $12 Humble Bundle for Civilization 6 & 2 DLC’s a couple of weeks ago so I’ve been on & off playing that, taking over the world usually by domination. It’s the most exciting win, really, although I have had Religious & Science Victories against the AI (which is less fun by definition ). Civ 6 has had a lot of flack for basically not being Civ 5 as quite a few features from Civ 5 vanished in Civ 6, essentially the same issue many people had with the release of The Sims 4 after the brilliance of Sims 3 - but the producers have steadily worked their back up to the point where Sims 4 isn’t too far behind Sims 3 in terms of content and quality. With the Rise & Fall expansion coming soon, I hope Civ 6 will improve also - if not I’ll stay play I love it
Someone else getting into Civ 6
I've been really enjoying that although I'm still playing Civ 5 as well so I haven't got myself a win yet. I wouldn't actually call it a Sims 3 to 4 type deal at all, lest we forget, at this point in Civ 5's development cycle, they still didn't have any form of RELIGION, something that should be sort of basic to a Civ game, although of course they turned that around. The way 6 is going, I bet it'll be regarded similarly or better to 5 by the time the second expansion after Rise & Fall comes out.
But no, I find Civ 6 really quite engaging and different with a lot of new stuff I haven't quite figured out how to master. Then, because I know 5 pretty much inside out, there's very little there that seems new to me and pretty much all of the parts I care about are in Civ 6.
That’s a fair point I forgot to mention, I didn’t actually get Civ 5 until just before Civ 6 was released and I got both expansions along with it - so I’ve only ever known the finished product of Civ 5 so my opinion is a bit uneducated
Oh to be fair I only ever played the original Civ 5 a couple of times myself, it was horrendous and kept me on Civ 4 until the Complete Edition with Gods & Kings and Brave New World came out - which is always the best way to do it with Civ, although getting this Humble Bundle (as I did) isn't a bad way to start either.
At some point in the future, I will because it does sound like they've added some good features - although the governors look good, the artstyle for them with their names that don't change but should depending on the civ you're playing makes me want to rage, but I want to play out original Civ 6 a bit while I wait for the expansion to drop in price a little (and hopefully some other bundle with the DLCs for the civs I'm missing too, because the likes of Persia, Indonesia, Macedonia and Poland sound really cool). Probably earliest I'll get it will be later this year when sales start. In case it wasn't obvious, I cheapskate games so hard.
I may play Dead Island again soon. I've completed the game (both discs) twice and its my absolute favourite game to play
Finished South Park: The Stick of Truth and just blasted through Batman: A Telltale Series. Enjoyed both; however there were tons of glitches and crashes in Batman which was a bit off putting.
Not going to have enough time to play this week but will be starting Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness on Sunday probably.
FFX-2
SO much fun doing the new game + and having a Mascot, Dark Knight and Beserker from the get go *.*
Finally finished the first half of Umineko. Took longer than I expected, a whole 62 hours for a story that primarily takes place across just 2 days Absolute thrill ride though. What starts by being presented as a classic murder mystery slowly unravels with fantastical elements, seemingly to challenge you, the reader, to submit to the absurdity in place of a solution grounded in reality. It was wearing on me initially but once I started getting into the 3rd chapter, I found myself champing at the bit to play more and more. There's a hugely bloated cast of roughly 40 characters but not many feel particularly redundant, or if they do, it's probably because they're on the way to unveil a side of them not-yet-seen. I'm glad that unlike with Higurashi, I can pick up reading the second half as soon as I want since it's actually been released
On the more game-y side of things, I've been playing a lot of Splasher lately, which is a 2D platformer largely unknown outside of France that I picked up on because many of my friends over there had been speedrunning it. Kind of like Super Meat Boy but without being punishingly difficult. Rather the levels are filled with checkpoints and tricky junctures, so the game expects you to die a lot, but without being much of a problem. As a platformer though the levels are really nicely designed, with all the hallmarks of introducing a gimmick and expanding upon it gradually, and also not trying to deceive the player by obfuscating rewards or traps.
I'm also generally trying to tidy up my Steam library and get onto a bunch of games I've left unfinished. Then I'm going to get Celeste which is so highly acclaimed and in my wheelhouse that I'll surely get a lot out of it.
I've been trying to tidy up my Steam library as well. By just picking a random game I haven't played, installing it and seeing how good (or bad) it is and seeing how many achievements I can get really easily.
I finished Higurashi chapter 3 a few days ago which was intense and incredible and just even more confusing than the other two. Chapter 4 so far is a bit less good seeing as how it's a flashback but it's a short one and I'm sure will reveal something interesting, I'm very hyped to get on Chapter 5 and actually get some answers, and then apparently wait forever to get the other chapters on Steam.
Chapter 3 is really peculiar because I remember starting it and being thoroughly amused with the antics on the baseball team & cooking competitions, more so than previously, but it's almost as if that's just a set up so you let your guard down with how intense it gets. For what is a outlandish series, all the domestic violence stuff feels so uncomfortably real. Chapter 4 is a bit peculiar and I think was originally treated as a bonus chapter. From what I understand, the protagonist of it eventually becomes important but I don't recall him appearing in Chapter 5 so I'm not sure when. There's a thrilling action sequence and some creepy stuff with Rika, but otherwise not quite as enthralling as the other chapters.
I'm also hoping to believe that they're going to release chapters 6-8 together, perhaps in mid June so the release lines up with Watanagashi which would be June 17th this year, that'd make up for the lack of updates of late.
cody stole the precious FC
from last night
So this happened yesterday
First AAA on a song!
and queen Ari of course
7 greats is literally a record for me
FF15
Ew GROSS
Burn it
It is utter shit
How to play that mind-numbing garbage:
FFXV is great It really got me more into a series I struggled to get into.
I got Rayman Legends yesterday, such a great platformer It's amazing in all its simplicity.
Playing Knack at the minute and whilst it's fairly enjoyable, it's all a bit...meh?
Like the graphics are nice (for a 5 year old game) and the gameplay is fairly fast paced (although incredibly linear (like worse than Final Fantasy XIII linear ) but its just there, like a decent 7/10.
The checkpoints are ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS though and almost gamebreakinig, you could get through about 4 or 5 "rooms" (basically where the enemies are in between little corridors) without a scratch and then one tiny mistake and you're put right back at the beginning (it also doesn't help that until you get more relics you're basically a one-shot kill target).
Plus to get the platinum trophy with copious amounts of luck will still take you at least 2 playthroughs, normal amount of luck probably 3 or 4...
Finally got a copy of Crash Bandicoot remastered for PS4 so that will probably consume a lot of my free time now
I've been playing Pokemon Ultra Sun, I'm trying to complete it just using bug types
Grand Ages Medieval which I just got recently. Which doesn't have the best reviews, as it is complicated to play apparently with the trade but with me only having two cities at the moment it is fun and I like the realness of it, how it makes you account for all the needs of medieval people. The city views are lovely when zoomed up, you can see your city from a near ground level perspective which I like! I worry when my empire gets bigger though it will get too complicated to manage with trade and production but will persevere anyway!
Okay I played Pump It Up Prime for the first time a couple hours ago and yeah it was basically one round of Boombayah throughout
Best I’ve done in a 15 yet!
I’m addicted to fortnite
I was just gonna make this exact thread, same title and everything if there wasn't one already made. Right now I'm loving Wolfenstein 2 & Paladins.

FINALLY got a chance to play ma PS4 that I bought last year and only used once
Finished Bioshock Infinite and Last Of Us this summer and I loved both of them! The former was amazing and I can’t really see a story that captivating being told any better on another platform (movie or book etc).
So I ended up buying a few things more than I intended in the Steam sale (always the way), but uh...
Slay The Spire and Rocket League are like instant crack, I had better be careful. On the former, I've always wanted a good card game after never getting to play enough Yu-Gi-Oh as a kid, and I've learned I really really like roguelikes after Isaac, so the combination is incredibly addictive. Rocket League, I know from Jacob playing it before I got it that it can be addictive but this is the first time in a long while I've found a multiplayer game I want to do repeat matches of.
FFX remaster and Friday 13th
Here for a Yuna goin doon Kimari and Wakka's spheregrids and Luku's! #powerhouseblackmage
Lulu is the white mage and Rikku is an Auron Tidus mix. I don't need anyone else.
Kimhari has a spheregrid - it is about five nodes wide and includes Lancet. I need Lancet as I only use the three women, sometimes Tidus too. They are my main attackers, Rikku, weak strength plus weak everything really, learns all the support skills - Haste, Slow, Bribe, Power Break, goes up to Flare for them. She was in the area after I made a U-turn for Bribe, being at the Stolen Fayth, and so moved her up to Flare.
Yuna went through Kimari into LuLu for a little bit, then SWITCHED into Wakka's and round back through Drain into LuLu's and then back into her empty grid by way of the Thundaras. They are now just jumping in and out of each other's grids. Rikku, after going through Uaron, will switch to the rest of Tidus and go down to Quick Hit and Hasteaga.
Haha true on Lancet I suppose. You could even argue it's twice as big on the Expert Sphere Grid
I’m playing Super Mario Odyssey. Got about 630 moons so far. It’s a great game!
A friend donated his unwanted copy of Pokemon Soul Silver to me a few weeks ago, so i've been playing through that. I'd wanted to play the remakes since they were announced, as Gen II was absolutely my favourite Generation.
I'm doing a "completionist" run and catching everything that becomes available to me as I progress. It can get a little tedious, but it's fine for a casual like myself.
Is anyone playing Friday 13th??
Also I did that and now Yuna and Rikku have full spheregrids, bit LuLu has aboout half done, as it took ages to get 99 dark matters for a break damage weapon for her. Used the overdrive slot, as hers is awful game mechanics, for Sensor instead. Beaten the dark aeons up to Shiva/ farming Yojimbo. Switched back to Luck farming for now. This game was designed by sadists I am sure.like honestly, not a joke.
I'm currently playing South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I'm enjoying it a lot, the battle options are fairly basic, as was the original, but there is more choice in what can be done (with classes and movement available to the player).
The traditional South Park humour is definitely there, but it does seem a little bit more tame than The Stick of Truth (I've been playing for about 4-5 hours and I've not come across anything that would rival the anal probing sections yet)!
A solid RPG-style game at the minute, I'm looking forward to completing it and adding the shiny platinum trophy to my collection!!
Not sure what is next on my list though; Mafia 3 is free at the minute on PS Plus but I've got such a backlog of physical games that just keeps getting added to (I now have Final Fantasy XII, Assassin's Creed Origins and all the Kingdom Hearts HD remasters that are still in their cellophane wrappers!!!) that I've got no idea when I'll ever make a proper dent.
Football Manager 2018- Wow, first FM game I have played since FM 2011 and it is a great game so much more you can do than in previous versions.
Papa's Scooperia
A year and a half late to it but finally getting into Persona 5 (never played the series prior) and I'm really impressed by the scope of it all. I wish I had more time to do all the things around the place I want to do
New WarioWare game is a lot of fun too. I'm impressed at the effort that went into it in some places when it could have just been a cheap cash-in.
Shantae And The Pirate’s Curse, such a fab series of platformers but I think I’m enjoying this one the most! I love the twist of her not having magic and having to find other things to have upgraded abilities.
All of my time is being taken up by Persona 5, EASILY the best non-Pokemon RPG I've ever played It took me about 10 hours to really get into it but now I'm obsessed. Th balance of the day to day social stuff and the night thieving is great, they've both got enough of the gameplay so that you don't get fed up of one or the other too fast.
Aah, I've heard only good things about Persona 5 and it's therefore one of those games that I wish wasn't a console exclusive.
I'm satisfying myself for RPGs with Tales Of Berseria, and uh... Lego Lord Of The Rings at the moment. One quite dark (as much as JRPGs get I guess), the other light-hearted.
My only thing is I wish it wasn't so heteronotmative, I wanted to romance Ryuji Ik that's not really the point of the game though it's just an added little social bit, I find the females a bit more one dimensional but perhaps that's because I hang out with Ryuji or work too much and haven't unlocked more of them yet. I'm quite 50/50 on RPGs, but this has really grabbed me in a way not many games have before.
I also like how P5 is set in real life Tokyo. I was talking to a friend of mine recently who went there and could recognise so many places from the game
It’s the late 00s and I’ve been working my way through Mirrors Edge for the first time proper and I’m really enjoying it. I don’t really play enough challenging platformers and I fail my jumps so many times but it feels... so good.
the really bright white aesthetic is also lovely <3
Lego Starwars III with my friend using a computer sharing program so we can both play whilst being in different parts of the country
Despite having long completed Red Dead 2 I'm not quite ready to give it up yet, I'm at the stage where I'm trying to find all the Legendary Fish and track down all the treasure 😁
I probably should play more new games but pretty much every day I just end up playing Tetris 99 on the Switch, easily my favourite Battle Royale game Recently I did play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3_yA4HTJfs, a puzzle game with a simple premise of rule manipulation that is explored extensively in mind-blowing ways.
A really surprising thing that happened is that completely against my own expectations, I got accepted to play Furi at Summer Games Done Quick. Next month I'm leaving Australia for the first time ever to speedrun the game in front of an online audience of around 100,000 A good omen is that I just broke my own record https://youtu.be/RzXUa2Ebq4s
That's incredible, well done and good luck!
I also should find new games but I just get lured back to the old favourites (EUIV, as the Bahmanis, rulers of where-I-went-in-India) unless I focus. I mean, I'm constantly picking up free games when they're advertised, it should happen... eventually.
laying through Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag finally after getting it for free some time ago.

Gone back to Final Fantasy IX at the minute!
Started Saints Row 3 on the Switch, I’m enjoying it a lot so far. It runs very well to my surprise and even the 2011 era graphics aren’t bad to look at plus it goes hand in hand with the slapstick comedy. I traded in Ryse for Xbox One and Yoshis Crafted World and got Saints Row plus pre-ordered Crash Team Racing and it only costed me $17
I managed to learn a couple shortcuts in mario kart wii
(the maple treeway glitch is near impossible but somehow i almost got through sksksksksksk)
On my 2nd playthrough of Kingdom Hearts 3. Absolutely in love with the Kingdom of Corona world
Battlefield:Hardline

Geometry Dash. I feel like I'm living in 2015 again.
I'm still on with Destiny and ITS AWFUL RNG. I deleted Friday 13th as you can no longer get on the roofs of the hooses, so it's boring now.
Completed New Super Mario Bros Deluxe on the Switch the other night, all 5 profile stars etc 85 hours of gameplay overall but that includes playing Super Luigi Bros and my second save file
Omg that sounds terrible
Hello. I have a lot of interesting games on my mobile phone. But lately, I only play romantic games <website removed> . Who also has such a dating simulator on the phone? Who cares, you can read the game in more detail and read the reviews of other players on the site that I dropped. I am delighted, I never thought that I would like such games.
This may shock you, but some of us play games without needing to find virtual girlfriends through them.
Also this is not an 18+ site so BEGONE FOUL CREATURE.
I’m currently playing Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Very beautiful to look at!
I had been on break from a few games with college work taking most of my time. But there are several new games coming this fall I cant wait to play and into the spring of 2016.
Right now I am playing SOMA. Really good so far. Atmosphere is nice. Enjoying the indie developer titles lately.

Thanks For Sharing With me you are perfect guide
I've just returned to the Crash Bandicoot remaster as I got stuck on the High Road level. And now I'm going back for a long time as that level is so annoying.
I used to find this game easy when I played it first time around, I honestly don't think it was ever this difficult.
Borderlands 3 and Fire Emblem: Three houses. The latter is particularly addictive, but also very long. I can see myself clocking up hundereds of hours playing it (already have over 20)!
PUBG
I'm near the end of Final Fantasy X and f*** Seymour Flux but what a game
I just got to Braska's Final Aeon last night! I grinded so much before it (so that I could get Lulu Holy and Ultima, and get Yuna some Black Magic) that I felt overlevelled for the first part and basically just did it with brute force of the two magic girls and Auron but then the second phase beat my ass
Death Stranding. Perhaps the best looking PS4/console game I've played so far. The landscape cutscenes are breathtaking - they look so realistic. The story is so confusing/interesting and the game itself has a really dark/horror feel to it. Just to my liking.
i m playing game PUBG MOBILE GAME
I play online games, usually, they are card games. I love to try my fortune wherever I can win.
I finally bought a Nintendo Switch last year (I appreciate it's not necessarily the best console but tbh I kinda like playing platform games as opposed to serious immersive ones!) and I'm currently playing Captain Toad's Treasure thingy and quite enjoying it. It's essentially a puzzle game but it's keeping me hooked to it and, as always with Ninteno, I'm impressed by the number of different takes on the same idea that they have come up with.
I'm really thinking about getting a Switch. Been pointed out to me that it's a good complement for someone who focuses on PC otherwise to get the ability to play Nintendo games. Unfortunately it's only just officially launched in China. Maybe soon.
I don't regret getting mine - I think it depends on what you want from a console. I love that I can transport this and basically play mindless games. It's not a playstation by any means but it has its value none the less.
I love my Switch! I have a PS4 and Xbox One too but I don't always have the time to sit down and play those so I love that with my Switch, I can just play it on the bus or while watching TV or something.
My housemate has a Switch that I've played Super Smash Bros on a few times (literally the only game I've played in years ), I do quite enjoy it even though a bigger remote would be nice for me.
The game I'm playing is quite interesting, like a worm crawling on a green grass and a green grass when its leaves are weak and I land safely and I eat the grass so I am full again. roll out to sleep and wake up, then look for new grass and nibbles to eat like that until I get bigger and I eat the whole world of grass haha. The game sounds boring but not at all. The problem is that the player is boring. because every game, the player incarnates into the game, there is no game that turns into the player. So it's because we're bored or not
<spam links removed - this is pleasingly bizarre otherwise so eh - Iz>
Sounds like an '.io' game
