2nd April 2017

It's Love for a second week on top just holding off Gorillaz lyrics for the moment and a storming track that needs to be a single ASAP, leaving them just one short of grabbing a second Number One (Dare was the last one). Gentle On My Mind makes my top 10 for Alison Krauss, the third version to do that since Dean Martin first did it in 1969. A pop track that should be getting some Spotify love (but isnt) is at 10, it gets Under Your Skin.

The late Leonard Cohen gets his biggest ever chart hit here, Take That add to their numerous top 20 tracks, Lana Del Ray grabs another, too, and so do Texas, who have had more than the pair of them put together. Probably. Veteran sixty-somethings Sparks are also back in at 30 with new quirky track Hippopotamus, for a sweet 43 years of being different from anyone else, right from the day they entered my charts in on high from nowhere on one hearing with This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us, one of those "Eh what was that!?" showstopper moments.

Lower down, a batch of current chart hits finally find a gap to sneak in, along with some oldies, CCR feature in the Kong movie, along with the Hollies CCR copycat track (the best thing about the film by far!), the late Chuck Berry and Joannie Sledge enter with some fave oldies, and The Beatles rocket into the top 30 with the gorgeous Abbey Road harmony track Because: beacuse the album's just charted again, and because it's featured effectively in a current advert and because I've never charted it before, and if it's OK for Drake to stuff the singles chart with 22 album tracks, it's more than OK for me to stuff my chart with non-Drake album tracks. So there!

Hi Jason smile.gif
Under Your Skin is just so catchy, great hook, it would be fab if it became a hit.
Love still sounds good 2 months on so it has legs and at least would have been a top 40 hit bar sheeran invasion
Texas is very 70s disco spot on there!
Disciples i think you are going to get your wish now top 10 on itunes cheer.gif

Cheers cool.gif

Thanks Jordan,

Chariots was great, unexpectedly grew on me quickly too.
Little Big Town should be worth seeing they have quite a big back catalogue now and are classy, so hope you get tickets. I would see them if they came to the UK south coast smile.gif

Dua Lipa is a fab track, im hoping her album impresses too.

Yes captain cuts and fenech are in the same groove. Captain cuts is doing well in the uk club charts at the moment which is a nice surprise!

Bruno is nice enough for me to buy it but 24k is better so im a bit surprised how well its doing in the usa ohmy.gif

Cheers!
