Now onto the more important stuff, each semi final will be GUEST HOSTED by one our closest allies in the competition:
Semi One: ELËDAN
Semi Two : AQUAFINA
The Semi final stage of the contest will take place from the moment this thread is posted until 23:59PM (GMT) on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7TH, 2014. No extensions will be made and anyone who fails to vote will face the full penalty's under BJSC law, without exception. PLEASE DO NOT VOTE IN THE OPPOSING SEMI FINAL and of course PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF. PLEASE VOTE FOR AQUAFINA AND SNUB DAEHUN. There will be FIFTEEN qualifiers from each semi final.
Voting will take place in the time honoured tradition of:

The citizens of the Capital city of Aquafina, Pixies, are in celebration that they are involved with Altyr's first contest as winners of BJSC and hope you celebrate the occasion by ensuring an Aquafina win. Semi Final 2 is ran by the superior host, while the quality in Semi Final 1 is at an equal standard, the main reasons being Aquafina are in Semi Final 1 and Séyetana's amazing song is in Semi Final 2. So 'What Are You Waiting For?' get voting in Semi Final 2, 'Up' is where Aquafina as a nation go from here. I am 'Not Giving Up'. I do give up because I'm rambling on a fair amount.

I figured it wouldn't sound too out of place here and not everyone would know of it, so I hope it's a discovery for some of you.
I know a lot of the artists this time around across the two semis, less so in here, FSR Rontvia sending a former artist of ours as well (and Riser too initially I believe ), let's hope it does better than Anna Sun did for me!

Submitted my votes anyway, not a particularly vintage~ semi but it has its moments as usual. Six or seven great songs and then a few more good ones. There is one highly unexpected country in my top 3 alongside two absolutely expected ones

This might be because it's the first time i've been BUSY during one of these, but having less than a week to vote has proven very difficult. I know there were complications with opening the semi final, but it could have meant the deadline got pushed back a bit too? I understand John has to arrange it around his plans, but would have been nice to have more weekend time to vote, like Saturday morning/night too. I will try my best to get them done tonight anyway, just means it will be based on a very rushed listen through which isn't how i like to do it~

I've worked 35 hours on top of 20 hours of University and still have time to host BJSC.
The semi starting late was not out fault and it was an easy mistake for John to make. Real life is more important and that's why BJSC was so early.

Well in every other contest we've had a weekend to vote in, which i thought would be the case when i committed to this one. It's not really a huge deal, but it would be nice if we always stuck to 7-day voting windows to allow people that work throughout the week to have at least the weekend to vote in. I wouldn't not participate because i'm busy. I ENJOY the contest, so it actually serves as a break from work and study~

I know there's commitments and stuff nut I really could have done with the weekend. It's alright saying don't confirm if you're busy, but I confirmed in the belief that the semi deadline would be at least this weekend when I knew I had time.
No moaning or shade or anything, just points I would like to put forward before being moaned that I'm leaving it until last minute when that is not my fault as I have had bery important real life deadlines that have finished before this weekend (for now).

I enjoyed revisiting Jaimeson ("Complete" was my fave, but I did also like "True") - the other song in the Top 40 the week that charted at #4, which I loved at the time, was Richard X and Kelis' "Finest Dreams". August 2003 was also when the UK recorded its hottest day on record. *Factoid*

There were definitely quite a number of fantastic discoveries even if I raise my standards a bit though, 5 songs I'd happily call a favourite. Which gives me a nice top 5. And that means I've voted.
