Jason Derulo has been very quiet for a couple of months now. However, behind the scenes he has been producing something big and that's his work on his 5th studio album and his first single. Thankfully his first single is coming on 4/3/17 and it's called Swalla. He ain't going solo though... Nicki Minaj is continuing her promotion of her next album by featuring on this track and we also have another big traveler in the name of Ty Dolla $ign, who recently featured on Zara Larsson's track So Good, or 'Flop Bad' as we know it at the moment! 
Teasers are around at the moment and based on what you might hear... He's going the tropical way. Oh well, it's pretty much the trend at the moment!

Was just headed to the R&B forum to post this thread, aha Very excited for this, it seems Nicki Minaj is getting in as many features as possible before her new album releases - first Major Lazer, now Jason Derulo and David Guetta.

Lol when those weird cheap ass synths came in at the end of the chorus, it took me so by surprise
It literally sounds like it took 2 mins to write and was produced on a £1.50 budget.
I completely agree with the whole "it is a total mess but kinda sorta don't care and love it" camp.

I would be super disappointed if a Jason/Nicki collab wasn't a complete mess and on two listens, I can already tell this will be played at many pre-drinks I attend.

I do hear the slight 'Macarena' influences pointed out in this thread This is no bad thing though as that song is a guilty pleasure BOP and a half, and so is this. *.* Shall definitely be stuck in my head for ages!

The 'Drink' voice reminds me of Swimming Pools by Kendrick Lamar (which was a great tune imo). Unlike this, Swimming Pools is an anti-drinking song of course.
Not too bad a song, better than Jason Derulo's Ugly (which got a bit annoying after a while).

This song is incredible, it should be more successful. I don't get why it is "flopping"
It has a dope beat, some hot collaborators and it sounds so fresh

I wouldn't say this is flopping just yet, just hasn't had much airplay from the chart relevant stations. Doing okay on Spotify so could become a hit.

I've not watched the video yet but the image still is exactly the hot mess colour explosion I was expecting.

The video is perfect, doesn't take itself at all seriously just like the song itself. Hopping somewhat onto ML Hammer's thoughts that he doesn't exactly look particularly excited by the girls in this video at all, I'd had suspicions he might well be gay for some time

Just watched the video. The Weeknd called - he wants his hair back.
I think Jason being so uninterested in the girls dancing and grinding is unintentionally hilarious and just adds to how bonkers the video and song is!

I actually love this taken a few listens but it's irresistible for me now. Nicki and Ty both add to the song too. One of my fave Derulo tracks I think

I can't believe what a positive reaction this song has in this thread. I think it's the worst thing I've heard this year and I didn't think he could do worse than "Wiggle" or "Get Ugly"

'Wiggle' and 'Get Ugly' are tuneless tripe. This bassline is incredible. It's trash, but the good kind imo!

This song is incredible, I am glad it is finally taking off after a slow start. Jason has an amazing track record of singles and I am happy that this is shaping up to be another hit.
