Starting today. V excited! No Nadal in the Mens this year and no Li Na in the Womens drama.gif Who are your favourites to win and who would you like to win? I'm hoping for Kevin Anderson to make some upsets this year in the Mens, and Ana Ivanovic to make it past the quarter finals, would love for her to return to being the major force she once was!

LOL at Azarenka being the 16th seed. Hopefully her and he wailing can continue falling into irrelevance.

No major upsets so far. Though Halep, Kerber and Venus Williams all looked very shaky for first round games. The inconsistent Jankovic seems to be on top form again, and Radwanska obviously, hoping for a convincing Ana Ivanovic win cheer.gif

Radwanska already out in the second round was quite the shocker. Serena and Kvitova look the most promising to make the final, Halep hasn't been so convincing for me so far. Bouchard could also be in with a shot too but I'm obviously hoping for Ivanovic! wub.gif If Ivanovic can get her serve together she could cause a few upsets come the possible quarter final against Serena.

Missed every single match, woo! Pretty happy with how the entire thing went, such a random male champ is a fantastic thing to see in a men's game that has largely been so stale for... forever. And I can never be unhappy with a Serena win, though I was certainly hoping for Caroline too.

Serena is just on a whole other level right now, especially since her match against Pennetta, to merely take a game off her is an achievement in its own. As much as I like Wozniacki, rooting for her was always going to be unrealistic - Serena's game has always been Wozniacki's weakness. sad.gif I was also really impressed with the wildcard Krunic and her fairytale run, I think she's definitely a name to look out for in future and she really adorable too! <3

The men's final was the first since the Australian Open 2005 not to feature Djokovic, Federer or Nadal. This time last year Cilic was serving a drugs ban. What a comeback from him.

Do people think Serena will go on to beat Steffi Graf's all-time record of most Grand Slam titles?

No, she will probably stall at 20 or 21. I can only see her winning in USA (much like Nadal in France) for the next 2 maybe 3 years.

Serena is not done at Wimbledon by any means. 20 seems realistic. Caroline really didn't go into that match with the necessary hunger or aggression to topple the queen. I'm so beyond thrilled for my favourite athlete.

Roger f***ed his best and probably last chance at another slam. Silly boy.

Kvitova is the queen of grass though, her Wimbledon showing was one of the best I've ever seen. Serena only really kicked it into gear with the US Open, she pretty much flopped at every other grand slam in 2014.

She is no doubt the best women's player out there but she has been so inconsistent this year, flopping at the worst of times so idk, if she sustains this US Open form she should be able walk every other forthcoming grand slam.

For her not to drop more than three games in ANY set that she played in this tournament is amazing.

Hope she goes into 2015 full of confidence and brushes past anyone who stands in her way. I want her to have that 22 this time next year! wub.gif

She was nowhere to be seen at Wimbledon or the French Open this year. For me, hard courts remain her only chance of success so we'll see come Melbourne in January.

And I don't think Roger f***ked up anything, he was simply outplayed by Cilic. I don't think his last chance is over either I think he has a fairly strong shot at Wimbledon next year it could well end up being another Federer-Djokovic final again & who knows what could happen.

Serena was not nowhere to be seen at Wimbledon? She quite clearly fell early due to the exact same thing that caused the drama in doubles.
