Blimey I just saw the opening sales for Now 103. My God. Can't say I'm surprised but still shocking. I think it'd be fair to say they have a massive problem on their hands at this point when it's outsold on it's first week by an artist album/sales not even breaking 100k.

Now 70 in 2008 sold 383,000 in its opening week (the all-time weekly record for the series, although 1999's Now 44 is the biggest selling overall), and as recently as 2012 Now 83 did really well as there were lots of rumours that it was going to be the last one. It's interesting how they remained extremely high sellers in the download era, although I guess £10 for 40 songs was a bargain as opposed to paying 99p for each one.
Spotify has most of the albums in playlist form, but from looking at them recently there's several missing songs and some exist in the wrong version/s, so they're not a great replacement for the original CDs. |

Shame they can never get those opening sales ever again. In other news, it’s not NOW related but I’ve seen that the Hits series are coming up with pointless spin-offs like NOW are doing. If the Hits wanna release any albums, they should just give Hits 1-6 and The Hit Pack the double CD treatment |

Next NOW spin-off due for release is NOW 100 Hits Movies on 20th September. I just hope it includes songs from films of all decades and not mainly this decade

Yeah it’s good, I’ll buy it.
Nice mix of old, new and scores as well as hits and some inspired choices. On the whole I’ve been enjoying this 100 Hits format, it’s been way better so far than their increasingly bland spin-offs from the prior three or four years. |

I noticed the spin off series taking off under the “100 Hits” name that is gaining some publicity so I decided to make a playlist of 100 songs that were sadly overlooked for the main Now series during the 90’s. I intend to do the same for the 00’s and shortly the 10’s by the end of 2019.
This playlist is made up mostly of #1 singles, songs on end of year charts, and other noteworthy and recognised songs from that decade coupled with a few novelty hits too. What’s your thoughts, would you buy a compilation like this with songs that you didn’t have in your Now cassettes, vinyls and CD’s from that era? The Unofficial Now 100 Hits - 90’s Omissions A playlist by awardinary Disc 1 1. Whitney Houston – I Will Always Love You {1} 2. Michael Bolton – How Am I Supposed To Live Without You {3} 3. If they’re gonna include TMBTL by Ed on 104, they should include the remix on there

I can't see any Ed Sheeran on Now 104 as he doesn't seem to licence his Number 1 hits to Now any longer.

I can't see any Ed Sheeran on Now 104 as he doesn't seem to licence his Number 1 hits to Now any longer. The only hit single from his new album which didn’t reach #1 was CM which is already on 103. If he won’t give them TMBTL for 104, I hope he gives them BP seeing as that was only #1 for a week |

Excited to see the Forgotten 90s tracklist. So much I’d love to see on there.
Now 100 Hits: Christmas would be a big seller for them, will be a shame if they just restock the 2015 release again this year, five years for one edition seems excessive. |

If they do a NOW 100 Hits Christmas, I expect it to be Queen track 1, Mariah track 2 and for them to include the Darlene Love song from Home Alone 2 as we never see that on a Xmas compilation. And question is, which Tiësto song will we be getting for NOW 104? I hope we get both of them
