He smashed it, well done Gary. Wish Steps had got the same promo push that he received, I'm not totally sure how Steps have benefited from BMG tbh? Might as well have stuck to independent.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see both the top 2s sales next week as there isn’t a huge amount of completion now until McCartney II is out on Xmas week.

^^ Tears benefitted from having 6 x CDs (Group and solo album covers) which were signed - they should have done the same this time rather than the cassettes.

That was with the re-release later in the year though, these comparisons are regarding the first week sales! Though I agree, doing signed individual CD covers would have been more beneficial than unsigned cassette covers. Kind of surprised they didn't sign some solo cassettes to give a boost. |
