Concerts are the main source of the artists to earn for their livelihood. Now in New normal there is minimum chance that big concerts will start soon. What are the options and technique so that one can continue to do concerts even on a small scale?

This is a major concern for the music industry as a whole - not just for the artists but for live music venues and the support staff who rely on these venues for their income. It is one of the gaps in the short-time working scheme announced by the Chancellor earlier this month as there are still people who, with the continuing restrictions, cannot work at all.
Some acts have been live streaming performances. OMD have announced that they will be putting on a show next month specifically to raise money for the support staff who have lost all of their income. However, there is nothing to match being part of a real audience. Larger venues can at least look at ways of ensuring social distancing by providing "pods" which keep different groups apart (I've seen pictures showing something like that for outdoor events) but that isn't really practical in smaller venues. Venues with seating, of course, have the option of limiting the number of seats sold and then relying on audiences to remain in their seats. That is probably more realistic for classical music but bands and singers may have to consider doing it as well. |

Hi, as you know coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on the global economy and one of the most affected sectors is the live events industry
Although some artists have gone live online by running their own virtual concerts, many of these free online events are merely casual live streams that do not do justice to the millions of dollars paid by fans to attend the actual offline version. |
