71 686 AlunaGeorge feat. Popcaan - I'm in Control (63-53-56-41-30-30-20-22-25-24-22-21-20-27-31-55-66-xx) [17 wks]
72 686 Troye Sivan - YOUTH (68-61-42-33-28-29-33-33-32-32-35-33-33-46-53-35-34-43-55-xx) [19 wks]
73 681 Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie - Rockabye (59-10-3-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-...) [10+ wks]
74 678 Little Mix feat. Sean Paul - Hair (27-15-9-7-6-13-11-15-19-28-33-51-xx) [12 wks]
75 672 Bruno Mars - 24K Magic (44-18-11-11-5-6-7-8-12-16-26-22-...) [12+ wks]

TWENTY FOUR KARAT MAGIC IN THE AAAAAIIIIIYYYERRR~ Enough good taste among the buzzjack masses to let Sir Bruno's comeback sneak into this Top 75 countdown, along with another Q4 smash from Clean Bandit, "Rockabye" amassing 7 weeks at the top spot! #74 goes to Little Mix with "Hair"- good news for Sean de Paul occupying two spots already *.* (us PC mods actually give him his rightful crediting cough OCC cough). AlunaGeorge & Popcaan's dancehall jam "I'm In Control" peaked at #20 on the weekly chart but some strong longevity lands it here, same with Troye Sivan's "Youth" which reached #28

There are only three songs in this countdown that missed the multichart top 20, and two of them are in that section! YOUTH is by far the lowest peaking song in the top 75 here, excellent stuff ohmy.gif glad to see Buzzjack didn't let it slip away like most of the public sleep.gif

That's a really good section. AlunaGeorge sneaking into the EOY just like they snuck into the top 40 that one week cheer.gif

I wish Hair had got to #1 on the Multichart just like Little Mix's past three singles had done. Amazing result for Troye and yay for Clean Bandit and Bruno sneaking in too.

I'm surprised to see that Hair didn't do a lot better in the multichart!

Great to see YOUTH sneaking into the Top 75. wub.gif

66 705 ZAYN - PILLOWTALK (27-4-3-3-4-5-9-11-18-25-34-64-xx) [12 wks]
67 701 Years & Years - Meteorite (39-19-18-14-11-16-17-16-18-22-37-58-41-39-74-...) [15+ wks]
68 698 99 Souls feat. Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine (...-8-7-3-4-5-5-13-17-21-36-50-xx-65-56-xx) [13 wks]
69 688 Jennifer Lopez - Ain't Your Mama (28-25-24-23-21-18-17-25-24-25-27-37-39-46-73-xx) [15 wks]
70 688 Calvin Harris - My Way (22-13-12-13-14-18-14-17-19-36-31-39-52-xx) [13 wks]

I would imagine 99 Souls is the first EVER jameela.jpg Buzzjack member to appear in an EOY Multichart! They introduced us to 'The Girl Is Mine' nearly a year before becoming a certified smash; obviously our website deserves all the credit for that. Elsewhere we have an official chart #1 from Zayn (don't expect any other 1D members to appear), a soundtrack single from Years & Years, a song from J-Lo during her final season as an American Idol judge, and the most recent release from Calvin Harris which was a relative flop but a personal fave.

61 739 offaiah - Trouble (51-35-37-35-27-22-20-13-17-26-23-25-33-39-40-54-57-xx) [17 wks]
62 734 Sigala feat. Imani & DJ Fresh - Say You Do (65-34-18-15-16-7-7-8-10-12-15-25-32-66-xx) [14 wks]
63 721 Elle King - Ex's & Oh's (...-20-17-16-21-6-7-16-13-19-28-36-44-51-74-68-75-60-xx) [17 wks]
64 720 NEIKED feat. Dyo - Sexual (71-xx-48-30-23-13-13-13-9-5-6-7-14-16-...) [13+ wks]
65 718 Little Mix - Shout Out to My Ex (11-4-2-2-2-2-2-2-6-9-...) [10+ wks]

Two dance songs with notable samples in this section, with offaiah's Trouble being a rework of Lil Wayne & Charlie Puth's Nothing But Trouble, and Sigala's Say You Do sampling from Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby. Little Mix also just missed out on a multichart #1 with Shout Out to My Ex, actually being part of the first EVER tie for #1, losing to Rockabye due to more people placing that as their #1! Elle King also nabbed a top 10 hit with Ex's & Oh's at the start of the year, and NEIKED grabbed a few weeks in the top 10 with Sensual Sexual in more recent weeks.

56 774 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself (...-7-5-6-8-12-19-22-24-29-31-38-39-42-44-50-65-xx) [16 wks]
57 762 Major Lazer feat. Nyla & Fuse ODG - Light It Up (...-xx-57-29-17-14-10-12-15-19-27-32-31-29-32-37-38-55) [16 wks]
58 744 Ellie Goulding - Still Falling For You (22-20-8-7-9-10-10-9-12-19-21-36-61-71-xx) [14 wks]
59 743 Shawn Mendes - Stitches (...-11-9-7-7-4-4-5-14-23-29-40-42-50-xx) [12 wks]
60 742 Rihanna - Kiss It Better (31-22-19-16-19-12-12-12-15-19-28-35-38-44-xx) [14 wks]

Kiss it kiss it better babyyy, Rihanna's underrated second single from ANTi is up at #60, followed then by Shawn Mendes- i was hoping for the chance to tear 'Treat You Better' to shreds but i was handed its less offensive predecessor instead, booo. Ellie Goulding chucked out another soundtrack single, it was no Love Me Like You Do moment but good enough for a solid Top 10 hit here. But hold onto your hats cos things are about to get OFF. DA. GROOOUND (i'm here all day), Major Lazer's remixed version of "Light It Up" with Nyla & Fuse ODG went on to Top 10 success both here and in the official chart. Their future collaborator rounds out this batch, Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" racks up enough points from the start of the year to make it in~

51 840 Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy - Make Me… (23-9-12-10-6-7-4-4-6-10-15-21-33-66-74-xx) [15 wks]
52 837 Meghan Trainor - NO (24-23-18-9-5-5-5-5-7-10-15-22-30-49-xx) [14 wks]
53 832 Nick Jonas feat. Tove Lo - Close (31-20-13-12-7-8-8-5-5-9-13-23-31-53-70-xx) [15 wks]
54 810 Emeli Sandé - Hurts (64-18-9-6-4-3-7-8-9-14-19-23-31-47-68-...) [15+ wks]
55 783 All Saints - One Strike (22-17-18-9-7-12-8-11-11-15-24-35-70-42-56-xx) [15 wks]

All Saints' recent comeback was well received on Buzzjack, with three singles making the Multichart last year and 'One Strike' making the EOY! Britney also had a terrific return with 'Make Me...', and Nick Jonas had his joint-biggest Multichart hit to date thanks to collaborating with Buzzfave Tove Lo. Emeli Sandé's comeback single did much better here than officially, in fact 'Hurts' is her joint highest-peaking here with 'Next To Me' also reaching #3! That leaves Meghan Trainor, who started the year off strong with 'No' but everything since has severely underperformed. sad.gif

Stitches wub.gif it actually has a muuuuuch longer chart run overall thanks to 2015 but of course only 2016 counts here!

Other faves are Make Me, Light It Up, NO, Love Yourself and One Strike heart.gif

46 860 Snakehips feat. Tinashe & Chance the Rapper - All My Friends (...-15-10-4-5-3-3-3-7-10-14-25-35-44-45-57-xx) [15 wks]
47 856 Fifth Harmony - That's My Girl (34-23-22-10-8-6-6-7-6-6-7-14-26-32-...) [14+ wks]
48 855 Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha - In The Name Of Love (69-44-35-27-19-13-15-12-8-11-16-17-20-25-32-48-51-51-xx) [18 wks]
49 852 M.O - Who Do You Think Of? (75-50-38-33-30-31-30-24-21-14-10-7-7-12-22-25-40-50-xx-73-xx) [19 wks]
50 842 The Chainsmokers feat. ROZES - Roses (...-48-xx-75-xx-50-43-43-46-40-39-37-38-28-27-26-24-21-28-28-30-32-33-44-66-64-72-xx) [24 wks]

The highest non-top 20 hit features in this section courtesy of The Chainsmokers! Roses only got to #21 but spent a whopping 24 weeks in the multi in 2016, the joint second highest outside of the EOY top 10 I believe. Double girl group impact in this section also, with Fifth Harmony's That's My Girl marking their first appearance of three in the countdown, followed by M.O who finally got their chart breakthrough with Who Do You Think Of?, also their first top 10 in the multi. Martin Garrix pops up with Bebe Rexha collaboration In the Name of Love, as well as top 3 hit All My Friends by Snakehips.

that longevity for Roses heart.gif That's a very UK-like chart run for it too.

good to see Martin Garrix and Snakehips get top 50 places too (but not enough for ROTD auto qualification sad.gif)

41 875 twenty one pilots - Heathens (26-17-12-11-10-8-12-16-22-24-25-26-31-39-47-44-43-xx) [17 wks]
42 871 Justin Bieber - Sorry (…-2-2-2-2-7-9-17-22-25-24-26-31-34-35-43-64-xx) [16 wks]
43 871 Dua Lipa - Blow Your Mind (Mwah) (11-5-3-5-6-5-6-6-9-12-16-23-34-63-xx-65-...) [15+ wks]
44 868 P!nk - Just Like Fire (22-13-14-11-8-7-10-6-8-12-21-26-43-41-49-57-xx) [16 wks]
45 863 Drake feat. Rihanna - Too Good (63-54-35-26-17-10-12-11-14-16-20-19-21-34-28-36-40-56-xx-69-xx) [19 wks]

Too Good (don't you dare joseph smile.gif) gave us another Drake & Rihanna collab, and a nice one at that- reaching the top 10 for one week here. Dua Lipa's "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)" got off a to quick start as expected, reaching #3 with a solid top 10 run though it dropped off rather fast afterwards. One of Bieber's chart-dominating singles "Sorry" is here after registering four weeks at the #2 spot in early 2016, and twenty one pilots continued to solidify themselves as a chart force with "Heathens", a #8 Multichart hit~ it ranks the higher of the two soundtrack singles in this batch ahead of P!nk's "Just Like Fire" which is also here by the way

36 898 Lukas Graham - 7 Years (52-43-40-26-23-12-4-5-7-11-12-21-22-28-30-38-41-55-xx) [18 wks]
37 895 Justin Timberlake - CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! (39-9-2-2-2-5-5-7-7-11-17-27-30-34-48-xx) [15 wks]
38 892 DJ Snake feat. Bipolar Sunshine - Middle (73-52-55-59-55-29-30-29-26-33-21-17-17-13-19-18-18-34-40-42-47-70-75-60-xx) [24 wks]
39 881 Shawn Mendes - Treat You Better (57-40-34-40-37-21-15-8-8-13-13-13-13-32-34-43-37-44-61-xx) [19 wks]
40 879 Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman (26-17-12-11-10-8-12-16-22-24-25-26-31-39-47-44-43-xx) [17 wks]

Following 'Heathens', which peaked at #8 here, are two more songs that peaked at #8: the lead singles to both Shawn Mendes and Ariana Grande's most recent albums. In the middle of this section is 'Middle' basil.gif by DJ Snake, a long-running Multichart hit and a surprise top 10 officially. 'Can't Stop The Feeling!' had three weeks at #2 both here and officially, but on the Multichart it was blocked by Calvin Harris and Rihanna rather than Drake. Danish sensation Lukas Graham rounds off this section...remember Lukas Graham is not one person. jameela.jpg '7 Years' is best remembered for telling us all to find a wife at 11 years old, or we'll be lonely :')

35 900 Olly Murs - You Don't Know Love (16-6-4-4-2-3-4-7-9-14-16-26-30-41-58-xx) [15 wks]

OK now we're into the songs that automatically qualify for this year's Record of the Decade in the chart forum! We kick things off with Olly Murs' #2 hit You Don't Know Love, which went down a treat on Buzzjack although struggled more officially for some bizarre reason. Shame, it's probably my favourite Olly track to date! Bastille made their return in 2016 and lead single Good Grief spent three non-consecutive weeks at #10, and it's just below the second of three Fifth Harmony singles. Flex failed to top the multichart like its predecessor Work from Home, but it still got to #8 and spent 9 weeks in the top 20. The Weeknd was onto a huge hit with Starboy as it became his first multichart #1, and second for Daft Punk who reached the summit for 7 weeks in 2013 with Get Lucky. Finally, Zara Larsson pops up for the first time with Ain't My Fault - she still has Lush Life in the running, but where will it place? ohmy.gif

good to see Ain't My Fault and Starboy make the ROTD AQs. Boo at Olly beating out Lukas Graham though.
