Bob Seger Aiming for 10th Top 10 Album

Billboard (October 17th, 2014):

"Rocker Bob Seger is cruising for his tenth top 10 album with his latest release, Ride Out. Industry forecasters suggest the set, released on Oct. 14 through Hideout/Capitol Records, may sell around 55,000 copies in the week ending Oct. 19. That should be enough to secure the album the second-highest entry on the chart, following the presumed No. 1 debut: Florida Georgia Line's new Anything Goes (selling around 190,000 or so).

Following Seger, look for You+Me's debut set, Rose Ave., to start with just under 50,000. You+Me is the first effort from the duo of pop superstar Pink and singer/songwriter Dallas Green (who performs under the stage name City and Colour).

Other albums that should enter the top 10 next week for the first time: Hoodie Allen's People Keep Talking (30,000 or so), The Game's Blood Moon: Year of the Wolf (25,000 to 30,000) and U2's Songs of Innocence (25,000)."

Oh wow, I thought Florida Georgia Line could challenge for much higher than 200K! At the very least I expected them to match Jason Aldean's 278K total from a week ago.

Hozier coming for a steep drop from #2! I wonder how well Idina's album will do over Nov/Dec.
