After a listen through both semis I don't think I heard 10 songs that sound like top 10 hits, the only ones I'd say are safe to come top 10 are Aeroche (my early tip for the win a la Crystal Waters), D'yermak'er and probably Hendinia (I don't like it at all myself but it'll have its fans). South Danaelanda and FARC also likely and I think there's a good chance for a breakthrough hit for Suedeonia. Beyond that I don't know, so am interested to see the first odds ~ and hoping for a few good surprise hits this month.

I'll try and make up some early bird odds this afternoon but it's going to be a tough one to predict. like last contest nothing stands out as an obvious winner.

Can't post any now since I've had a fair few votes but I can say with full hand-on-heart honesty that Trifoddski's favourite prior to the contest was Suedeonia~ (the skypers can vouch for this)

Yeah I think this is gonna be something random not many people see coming until near the end like last month, I haven't heard semi 2 but in semi 1 it seemed to be that there were LOADS I really liked but not really a big stand out I thought this will win, and that was similar last month too.

Those are some very decent opening odds for my song! I think my best possible finish with this could be a 20th/21st 'Water Frozen'/'Ruins' style position, but we shall see.
I agree with you that Aeroche seem like the obvious favourite so far! Some of those other favourites are good shouts too. However, I think New Lexico are being underpredicted!

Pretty good odds considering the Plug tumbleweed!
I really can't do any until the final, I haven't had time to finish listening to my semi let alone any other music this week 
Of the majority of Semi 1 I've heard, I'd have gone for Hendinia as a likely victor - though Plug makes this look less likely - and Aeroche and Suedonia in with a big shout too.

I always find that the pure-pop/dance-pop songs tend to do better in the contest than plug suggests, as there is the 'silent majority' who don't go on plug.

People take plug a bit too seriously imo, it's usually like 15 of the competing countries and tends to be mostly the same people so is a bit skewed. Pure pop songs definitely tend to up under-wooted I agree.

Hendinia seems like one of those tailor-made winners but then again the likes of "Outsiders"/"Money" were and they fell short. It'll do better than Bye Bye Bby Boo so Rob's got the consistency down. I wanna say Aeroche also has a chance

I definitely agree with Aeroche as favourite, it sounds like a lost 90s classic (I suppose it is in some circles, mad it never charted properly in the UK!!!) Not sure I get the hype for Hendinia, it's alright but I doubt it will do better than Bye Bye Bby Boo. Might do full odds when I've listened to semi 2.

Not so much my position, which is pretty good, but the songs at the bottom of the odds are where lots of my favourites seem to be emerging from while I didn't think that much of several of the supposed frontrunners on first listen.
So I also disregard them.

I pretty much agree, I imagine it'll do about the same (low bottom 10), which is perfectly fine by me, but I don't see it challenging the win.

not an awful lot of obvious winner contenders but the three above the line definitely stand out as winners to me! Ojnoj & South Danaelanda also could do it but I'm not 100% confident, they seem more like top 5 contenders to me!

I'll do some full odds after the Plug sessions but on first impression I feel like the top 5 could look something like Aeroche in 1st and Ojnoj, Hendinia, New Lexico & D'yer'maker in no particular order making up the other 4 slots.
EDIT - can also see Suedonia doing very well!

Suedeonia seems possible, I'm not sure on Ojnoj, as much as Jonjo getting a win would be so cool. I need to relisten before I can make any big judgements. I am feeling like Aeroche will tap into the same niche that Relax did, who doesn't love 90s dance?

Finally getting round to doing some odds, I reckon it's a four horse race. Aeroche seem like an obvious choice at the moment but I can't help shake the thought that Suedonia is a possible winner - definitely their biggest ever hit anyway. Hendinia probably has too many haters to take the big prize, but it will still be huge and could sneak a win I suppose if the pop fans are really out in force. Ojnoj seem to be picking up the most hype right now, so can't rule them out. I wouldn't say there's a clear cut runaway winner this month anyway. Could see anything down to UVland as top ten potentials, but I'm sure there'll be some shocks too!

I could make a case for anything above the first line winning, but I do think it will be Aeroche or Ojnoj most likely. I think anything above the second line could easily be top 10, I agree with Rich there are so many that sound like top 10s so there's bound to be a shock or 2 or 3 (especially if the semis were anything to go by this month!!)
