Hi there!
Nice to see "Past Life" in the top 10, the big gains for "Natalie Don't", "UN DIA (ONE DAY)", "Easy", "The Truth", "Slow Grenade", "To Be Young", "Smile" and "Come & Go", I also like the debuts for "Home Now", "My Oasis", "Who's Laughing Now?", "Married In Vegas" and "Careless"!
Great chart!

Hi Jafet!

Giving your #1 a listen now - that was one of Joseph's potentials for this BJSC wasn't it? I still prefer Sidewalk Teens but this isn't far behind!

Giving Home Now a listen as well, another decent dance song although I do prefer Alida's BJSC tracks.

Nice formatting btw ohmy.gif Do you do it yourself or do you use a website?

Great chart biggrin.gif

Thank you! I actually did it all by myself, just using Microsoft Word and a little bit of Photoshop to add the pics actually smile.gif And oh, I forgot Bellamia was debating using Weekend! I didn't vote for Sidewalk Teens as it wasn't in my semi but I obviously would have likely given them my 18 points in the final had they used Isac instead (given that he'd qualified)! I actually discovered "Home Now" in the semi confirmations thread as it was someone's choice that got veto'd laugh.gif

Adding uhsting's comment from the other thread which I missed.

Hello! Absolutely amazed by the artwork here! There must be a lot of effort put into this! Burn Down This Room is a great song in your top 20, and from the debuts I like Better Break My Heart, Slow Grenade, Underwater and Commando!

Thank you so much! I did put a lot of effort into this but honestly doing the first chart took wayyyy longer than the second one. Happy to see some appreciation for BDTR. Absolutely stunning song.

Hey uhsting! Thank you for the compliments on the artwork again! heart.gif Happy to see you agree with me on the BJSC debuts! Yes, Commando did a massive jump but that's actually not that uncommon for songs I love to do in their second week (see Imagine in the week before or Shipwreck in its second week), but it certainly does bode well for the song as it bodes well to jump from a midtable position in the second week rather than to fall from a high peak (just look at the chart run from Alice which I loved at first but grew tired of quickly)!

Ah I completely understand the feeling of growing tired quickly of songs! Quite recently it happened to Slow Down by Sissel. It is a fabulous and touching song: debutting at no. 1 and holding it for 2 weeks, only to last for 4 weeks on the chart in the end, which is pretty disappointing, given my no. 1 songs can last for more than 7 weeks. And then you have The Kindest Thing by Stalking Gia which jumped from no. 29 to no. 1. You'll never know how your music taste shifts in the course of a week!

Exactly. Music taste can be so strange from week to week lol. Last year KEiiNO's "Spirit in the Sky" debuted at No. 2 and then quickly fell out of the Top 40 after like 4 weeks, only to resurface a few weeks later (after Eurovision) and stick around for a total of 16 weeks in the Top 40 (24 weeks on chart in total). laugh.gif

Going over the songs and artists that are new in the Top 10, Top 20 and Top 40 this week.

  • 26-year-old singer from Skien, Norway.
  • Commando became her third top 10 hit this week as well as her highest peaking song to date.
  • Don't You Wanna Play? became her ninth top 100 hit this week.
  • Seeb and Julie have two collaboration credits to their name from this year alone.

  • 19-year-old singer from Pixbo, Sweden.
  • 3rd place in Melodifestivalen 2019 and 4th place in Melodifestivalen 2020.
  • Surprisingly neither of her Melfest songs managed to break into the top 40.
  • First non-Mello single has, however, spent all three of its weeks in the top 20, entering the top 10 this week.

  • 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Houston, Texas.
  • Past Life is his second chart hit ever but his first to go top 40 and as of this week his first top 10 hit.

  • 28-year-old singer from Grand Prairie, Texas.
  • Past Life marks her tenth top 10 hit on my chart and is currently her third song to peak at 10 although that may very well change.
  • Past Life is Selena's sixth single to enter the top 100 in the span of 9 months and the third from this era to reach the top 10.
  • Previously, Boyfriend (No. 10), Feel Me (No. 3) and Rare (No. 14) all reached at least gold status.

  • 28-year-old DJ, songwriter and producer from Bergen, Norway.
  • Arguably the most successful artist on my chart ever, Kygo has added a twenty-third top 20 hit to his name.
  • Kygo has had a very successful year so far and he currently has six songs in the top 100.
  • In just six years he's amassed more than 20 million sales across his 39 singles that have charted crediting him.
  • This week has has two songs making new peaks: What's Love Got To Do With It (No. 18) and The Truth (No. 61).

  • 80-year-old American-born Swiss singer who rose to fame in the sixties with her then-husband Ike Turner.
  • Unsure if I have ever had an artist enter my chart at an older age than Tina Turner is currently.
  • Here thanks to Kygo's refresh of her 80's #2 smash What's Love Got To Do With It.
  • By going top 20 this week she's added twenty-first top 20 hit to her rooster.
  • Tina is hoping to get a fourth number one hit after nabbing the top spot previously with River Deep - Mountain High (1966), We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) (1985) and The Best (1989).

* Note that the chart was top 20 only from January 1, 1960 to December 31, 1979 and top 40 only from January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1999.

  • 42-year-old singer from Trondheim, Norway.
  • Reached a new peak with her new single, American Cars, this week.
  • Had a few big hits in the mid-to-late 2000s including her one number one hit Heartbeat in 2005.
  • American Cars is her fourth top 20 hit and the first since 2009.

  • 22-year-old singer and songwriter from London, England.
  • Rose to the scene as a dance vocalist for the likes of Jax Jones and David Guetta but this week marks a second solo top 20 hit.
  • Natalie Don't is RAYE's sixth top 100 hit of the year and her fourth top 20 hit.
  • In total RAYE has eight top 20 hits to her name including two number two hits but no number ones.

  • 52-year-old singer, songwriter and actress from Melbourne, Australia.
  • Absolutely pop royalty and will always be likely to chart when she releases a single.
  • Has sold over 27 million singles over a period of 30+ years with at least one number one single in each decade since her debut except the 2020s.
  • Say Something brings her total of top 40 singles to a whopping fifty-seven!
  • Kylie hopes to make it her landmark tenth number one but she last graced the top spot 8 years ago with Timebomb.

* Note that the chart was top 40 only from January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1999.

Will add Sia, J. Balvin, Dua Lipa, Tainy, Bad Bunny and Dotter tomorrow.

yay for J Balvin/Dua leaping, I also quite like the Yves V track, and the Klangkarussell BJSC entry is so good too, it'll probably end up in my top 40 post-contest.
