'Drowned World' shows a rarity in Madonna tours: she seemingly relaxes her strict scheduling and planning to take a moment to spontaneously speak to her audience. She thanks her crew and fans alike for their hard work and support and appears to genuinely apologise to anyone who had their vision blocked from the cameras filming the tour, before projecting her usual playful humour with "forgive me, I shall make it up to you". And boy does she do that. Everything is stripped back so Madonna can concentrate on just the vocals that display such warmth and love and give the lyrics the justice they deserve. The hums in particular are so angelic and leave you watching her perform in admiration. A huge treat for a tour that is so beloved for its big numbers and high energy. Round 9: Drowned World (Substitute for Love) [02/07; 28.57%] Round 8: Get Together [03/06; 50.00%] Round 7: Erotica [02/07; 33.33%] Round 6: Sorry [03/05; 60.00%] Round 5: Music Inferno [04/08; 50.00%] Round 4: Let It Will Be [04/07; 57.14%] Round 3: Isaac [05/09; 55.56%] Round 2: Paradise (Not for Me) [04/09; 44.44%] Won Deadlock Round 2: Like It Or Not [05/09; 55.56%] Lost Deadlock Round 1: I Love New York [06/08; 75.00%] |

Was between Like a Virgin and La Isla Bonita and went for the latter!

The right decision! The difference between the two for me is that 'La Isla Bonita' loses its charm and coolness in the tour performance, whereas 'Like a Virgin' got completely revitalised and made quite a corny song quite trendy.
