Drake is aiming to match Wet Wet Wet's run of 15 consecutive weeks at #1, meaning he'll be just two weeks away from breaking Bryan Adam's record. However, The Chainsmokers were only a few thousand away from the top spot last week with 'Don't Let Me Down' and Jonas Blue's new single 'Perfect Strangers' has been flying up the charts, so either one of them could break Drake's run this week. New entries may come in the shape of Katy Perry with her Olympics single 'Rise', Britney Spears' comeback 'Make Me...', 5 Seconds of Summer's 'Girls Talk Boys' (the theme song to the new Ghostbusters movie) and Snakehips and Zayn's 'Cruel'.

Biffy Clyro could be on track for a second consecutive week at #1 this week, which would mark the first in 17 weeks, with their biggest threat from new releases appearing to be Michael Kiwanuka's Love & Hate. Other new entries may include Bright Light Bright Light, Good Charlotte, Jeff Beck and Steven Tyler.

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm.
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.

With One Dance reclimbing on iTunes it seems another week it extremely likely.

I imagine Britney & Katy will both land around #15 mark unless Rise is added to Spotify pronto.

Biffy Clyro's last album Opposites had a second week drop of 65.9% (71,584 to 24,365) - if the same drop happens with this album, they'll be looking at ~13k which might be enough for #1. I imagine Michael Kiwanuka could manage 10k+ too (he seems to have had support from Radio 2; currently Album of the Week) and Adele will probably be above 10k too, so any of those three for #1.

What do we think Drake will do? Around 55k? He's dropped 3k on streams last week and data today showed him dropping quite a bit again.

Last week it was 12.2k/42.5k ratio, this week I suspect it will something like 15k/40k. I heard some people think he'll get around 60k but I personally don't reckon that will be the case.

How long does the iTunes 59p effect last? Surely he's going to top out at some point?

I think it will be. The Chainsmokers were set to overtake but now Drake's got the 59p effect he's got bigger sales.

I think its looking most likely with the track been 59p, but it should be his final week, probably looking at 52k, or less, not far from sales given last night, factoring in the 59p effect.

'Rise' may get to #1 eventually, especially if it's heavily used in Olympics coverage. Depends just how big Justin Bieber's new song is.

I predict top 20 debut for Katy and top 30 for Britney

Correct me if I'm wrong but Rise is NOT an official song for Olympics. It's just NBC's theme song for Olympics and thus US only.

I believe you're right. I doubt it'll get much airplay here - we'll probably have an official one that the BBC and the like use.

Depending on how strong Katy Perry's fanbase is, the fact she's not on Spotify might mean she could still top the paid-for sales chart. Calum Scott looks to be staying around the top on iTunes so he could top his #4 peak from last week.
