Nice to see Cian added again after the support for his first single. Can't say I'm enjoying this one as much though.

I did wonder if Escapism would be added for RAYE but The Thrill Is Gone makes more sense for R2's general vibe.

Darin is an interesting choice. The song is over 18 months old and only now getting a UK push?

Thought R2 would have jumped on that Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle et al track.

Darin! Wow, how unexpected.

He’s been releasing some great music recently and it’s always nice to see Scandipop get UK support.

Love the Belle and Sebastian track, I don’t remember them ever releasing such a poppy single before.

It's actually its second UK push - it was first serviced to radio a couple months after it was released but it did absolutely nothing. But they've now hired a bigger radio plugger and it seems to be working!

That's a surprisingly quick exit for Louise, especially considering she's featuring in their Piano Room Month

Ken's playing Louise now, so perhaps it's a mistake

Do the number of tracks on the A-list seem correct or is there one missing?

There's 10 which is correct. It's not uncommon for A List songs to get played again but Louise has been played over the weekend and today. Wouldn't surprise me if she's been removed in error instead of Sam Ryder

Edit: I'm making the change. Sam hasn't been played at all since Friday so I'll swap them over.

It's the same version! It's just that some places are crediting Calvin and Jessie, but others aren't for whatever reason. laugh.gif

I chose to credit them as they are on the song, but R2 have not officially put them on their playlist

Radio X Playlist | as at 27/01/23

Blink-182 - Edging [15]
DMA's - Everybody's Saying Thursday's The Weekend [13]
Inhaler - Love Will Get You There [13]
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Pretty Boy [13]

The Lathums - Say My Name [12]

OUT:
Paramore - The News [1]
Paramore - This Is Why [16]

Wet Leg - Angelica [1]

Four songs leaving (two of them after just one week) and no songs added. This playlist is quite volatile and unpredictable, I almost don't see the point of it!

I rarely listen to the station these days but are some of the tracks perhaps just featured/records of the week? They've genuinely dumped Paramore and Wet Leg after 1 week and it feels really off

Yeah, I suppose they could well be but it would be nice if the website listed them as such. It's such a mess of a playlist!
