In all fairness to Linda though, she did always run the family-the last 6 months aside.

The Mick and Linda scenes were electric tonight! Kellie Bright is really knocking it out of the park but Danny is more than stepping up to the occasion too.
Too bad they're potentially about to spoil it with THIS: https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/eastend...s-mick-21395976 |

Excellent cliffhanger, quite clever how they’ve weaved Bobby into that storyline.
I knew Suki was after research when she was talking with Jean. |

"Who sings this?" "Oh, it's Mabel" "Let it stay like that".
Denny's head was nowhere near the edge of the table. We didn't need the Lucy flashback though, the audience isn't stupid. A great episode! Lorraine Newman was out of her depth as an executive producer but she writes really well for characters. |

So she’s definitely lying about having cancer then? Has that been like confirmed or is it just speculation.
Also enjoyed the cliff hanger! I expected that Denny was gonna go for Sharon again. |

Tamzin was the one who left though wasn’t she? Like it was her decision to go.

Kellie is killing it, but they are being way too on the nose in terms of ‘this is all your fault!!!1!2’
Like loads of things were way too convenient and unrealistic for it to end up the way it did. 3 other adults live with Linda in the pub. 3 other adults know she’s an alcoholic. So why was she left alone with Ollie in the first place? Why did no one working in the pub check on the smoke alarm? Why would Mick AND Shirley need to be out giving our leaflets instead of keeping an eye on things? Also why is the roof still so accessible to a four year old even after all of those people have fallen off it in the past? |

They are likely aiming for the consequences rather than looking at all the logistics but they are valid points and show they have a role to be more responsible knowing they are living with an alcoholic. Kellie is just amazing in this role, it Is best we have ever seen her and she has delivered through the years.
I am hopefully this will result in her picking up some soap awards this year. As i mention awards, does Letitia Dean ever appear at the Soap Awards or the National Tv Awards, my memory evades of me ever seeing her appear. |

I thought this!! Like yes it's not their fault she's an alcoholic, but with how many things had gone wrong (and her taking off with Ollie after picking him earlier, for example) you'd think they wouldn't dream of leaving her alone with him! I get that they probably wanted to keep things normal for Ollie and try and give Linda a chance and give her something to be sober for, but you'd think at least they'd make sure someone was in the house in case that happened! I guess Pippa has a point though, it's further reaching than just Linda's issue, it's a case of them all adjusting to the fact they can't even trust her to be alone with her child and the problems that creates, you just don't expect to have to do that! Kellie is absolutely smashing it and then some though! |
