Looks like it'll be something celebrating 20 years...

A 20 year anniversary tour of their debut album? Where they play it from start to finish like Kate Nash did for the 10th anniversary of 'Made of Bricks'? *.*

James Bourne has been tweeting random song titled lately, not just from their debut album, so I think it could be a Greatest Hits.

More exciting imo is that a 15-track reworking album is on the way! The first single, a new version of 'Loser Kid' with Simple Plan, is out on April 14th.

Articles are saying that All Time Low & McFly will also feature on it.

Would rather have had a new studio album tbh, I'm not usually a fan of reworked songs, but I'll reserve judgment until I hear them.

Hyped! I love ‘Loser Kid’ too so I’m intrigued to hear Simple Plan on that and hear the reworking.

Intriguing, their last album was actually one of my favourites of 2019, some great stuff on that.

Tbh I’d be more than happy if the reworkings just feature their old songs with modern production, I don’t think their early songs have aged that well in that regard.

Shame it's not a new album, feels a bit lazy!

Anyone see the quote in The Sun:

Though reflecting on the music industry now, James said: “We got to establish our band at a time when people actually looked at what was happening in music and the charts. No one cares now.”

Well we do smile.gif

Perhaps he's right about the charts (in terms of the general public), but to brand people as not interested in music in general is a bit far!

I feel like he's kinda right though. I assume he means the way people consume nowadays and how they aren't too bothered and just stick playlists on for whatever the occasion is. I don't think he means everyone, but I would guess majority of people it applies to.

I think he is spot on tbh! He means that they released in a time when people would go out and consume music for their own acts by actively buying singles, watching TOTP and following their progress etc in a much more general public sense. Nowadays there is a minority of people that do compared to back then. Today it's all streaming playlists and the charts reflect that too which is so sad.
