I think Real Madrid's stranglehold on this competition will be broken at last now that both Zidane and Ronaldo have left Madrid. It will be hard to predict a winner but I think Ronaldo's new team Juventus will have the best chance in many years to win it this time and they would be my very early tip. Hopefully Man United wont embarrass themselves like they did last season! A Quarter Final at least would be decent because I cant see us winning it.

Think it's fairly close tbh if united get a good mentality Jose could lead them to it but the other sides will be stronger too. Liverpool could never have thought they'd be finalists this time last year so anything can happen in football.

As usual, I'll be rooting for the underdogs who have to qualify from the start, who will no doubt be thrashed in the second round of qualifying tongue.gif

Come on Drita, beat Malmo 4-0 in the second leg!

This is actually the best part f the tournament these days imo!

The fact teams that had established themselves in the group stages now play in the 1st round qualifiers against NI teams says it all about the control the so called big leagues have over the competition now and it'll just mean more boring and monopolised tournaments with the same teams in the last 16!

Watched the TNS match on the BBC Sport website before, they were 5-0 down from the first leg but were so close to doing it tonight. They won 4-0.

That might be at risk this year, they're a very average side. Think a couple of the other teams might run them close.

I’ve seen quite a lot of crying about Liverpool being pot 3 because they were runners up last year. Bitches you didn’t have to qualify this year despite finishing 4th again and the UEFA pots were allocated the same way last year and before that and before that and no other runner up has gone greeting so haud yer wheesht

City get a relatively easy draw and the other English teams have difficult draws.
