Why has the SEVENTH single from our faves album become so successful?

It brings something so so new and is just what the good GP needed to see her potential (is that the word? laugh.gif) So amazingly instant, it's already my most played song ever with 744 plays apparently <3

I guess a massive hit was always in the making for her, she'd already had lots of Top 40 success so all she really needed was a great song...

Because it’s an amazing song. The video gave it a lot of buzz but didn’t excatly sending it flying up into the top 10 within days. I’m not sure why THIS amazing song took off when so many similarly amazing female pop songs struggle but talent won in this case.

Ikr, Run Away With Me is the biggest exemple of this I think sad.gif I think Dua (hope y’all are saying it right btw) being so damn likeable is a thing as well. Like people pay more attention to her. Queennn

The video!!

Mixed with her popularity taking off as well.

Had that been her first ever single with the video I don’t think it would’ve been a huge #1 I think she needed to have her fair share of hits first like she really seemed to grow on people
