Yeah this is seriously good, both CHVRCHES and Halsey delivering this week cheeseblock.png

the Robert Smith collab was hard to beat but 'Nightmares' is almost as fantastic, wow!

This is taking its time with me, outside of 'He Said She Said' and 'How Not To Drown', I've only really noticed 'Final Girl' as a standout CHVRCHES track.

It may well change but this is strong on singles and not much else.

The last four songs are a bit different but the Robert Smith track is the one that stands above all else still for me!

This is soooo close to being a 'no skip' album for me - I thought the final song was just ok but every song before that is definitely worth coming back to. Was particularly floored on first listen by 'Violent Delights' (the percussion *.*), also think 'Asking For A Friend', 'Final Girl' and 'Nightmares' were great too (all better than 'Good Girls' which is looking like a pretty weak single choice now honestly as much as I do like it).

I never heard their last album in full but the songs I did hear from it were a marked step down in quality from their earlier stuff so I think I'm confident in saying this album is a return to form.

Another new one this week! A cover of the 1987 song 'Cry Little Sister' (originally by Gerard McMann for 'The Lost Boys' soundtrack), has been released for the new Netflix film 'Nightbooks'.

Have to say I agree with these sentiments. ‘Final Girl’ especially is one of the album highlights after 4-5 listens!

The bonus tracks are all good additions to an already great album! 'Bitter End' is my fave of the 3, loving the production on it. <3
