Sia's first single from her album This Is Acting is due to impact radio on 25th September. It was originally written for Adele
QUOTE It’s about Adele’s life, so I now sing a song from Adele’s perspective. This is the first song from this new project. I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go into it thinking, ‘This is something I would say’. It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun She's nowhere near as good as she used to be, but Chandelier was a tune so maybe this lead can be great too. |

Excited! I love 1,000 Forms of Fear, if this album ends up being even more pop, then I'll be on cloud nine!

This is indeed brilliant! 'Chandelier' took it's time with me to grow, but this is far more instant! Is it better than 'Chandelier'? Not just yet, but it's only a matter of time I imagine before I think it is!

Really strong song. I can understand why Adele didn't use it for the new album, as I think the sound of this would clash with the sound she has already developed for her music (unless 25 has gone into a completely different direction which I doubt). Much better suited as a Sia song.

This is fantastic, epic and everything I expected from Sia. <3
It's the kind of material I wish Leona Lewis had managed to come back wish. This post has been edited by Joe.: Sep 24 2015, 01:43 PM |

It's decent but Chandelier does this kinda thing so much better! Chorus is a bit too repetitive and it's not actually that pleasant to listen to Sia's voice cracking all over the place. I was hoping for something a bit more Adele-like rather than 'vaguely resembles RITD's beat' as this is very nu-Sia by numbers for me

This is fantastic.
Saying that, I didn't really like the moment from 3:36 to 3:54, because it gave me the impression that the song was going to end really dully. Thankfully at 3:54 the scare goes away when the massive production returns for a final epic chorus. |

Not as keen as the rest of you seem to be.
I think her voice in the chorus sounds horrible and very off-putting. It's very Sia-by numbers, without anything massively interesting about it. |

Three listens in and I'm enjoying it more than "Chandelier".
