So we've now had at least one single from all five girls! Threads only premiered earlier today but using your first impressions of that, which song of the five is your favourite? How would you rank them?

(only counting where they were a lead artist, so Heartbreaker and Like U Like are not considered debut singles for Cheryl and Kimberley respectively)

For me, it would be ranked like:

1. Fight For This Love wub.gif
2. Beat of My Drum
3. Insatiable
4. Threads
-- huge gap --
5. One Day I'll Fly Away

Threads could quite easily overtake Insatiable in time though, we'll see how well it holds up in my affections! One Day I'll Fly Away is obviously very different to the rest and I do actually quite enjoy it for what it is but it hasn't a patch on the other four.

My order would be the same as yours Joseph, Fight For This Love and Beat of My Drum are way ahead of the other three! wub.gif

1. Beat Of My Drum
2. Insatiable
3. Fight For This Love
4. Threads
5. One Day I'll Have A Career

I can easily see 'Threads' overtaking 'Fight For This Love' in time, I've never been a big fan of that, her other lead singles are much better for me.

None of them can be compared to "Fight For This Love" - it's in a different league.

2. Unsayshable
3. Beat of My Drum
4. One Day I'll Fly Away
5. Threads

'Fight For This Love' trounces everything for me. It's a modern day pop masterpiece!

'Beat Of My Drum' is 'ight. I got tired of it quite quickly though (still a million miles ahead of the other 3 though!)

By far and away 'Beat Of My Drum'.

'Fight For This Love' is overrated beyond belief.

01 Insayshabul (INCREDIBLE)
02 Threads (a solid song)
03 One Day I'll Fly Away (an excellent song, sang by someone who really should know her limits)
04 Fight For This Love (a totally overrated, forgettable piece of nothing)
05 Beat Of My Drum (a poor song, sang by someone who should never be allowed to sing)

Obviously Cheryl had the best debut with the brilliant "Fight For This Love" which is still her best song to date. Nicola definitely comes a close second with Beat Of My Drum which was amazing and highly underrated. Never heard Sarah's, but Kimberley and Nadine's were both terrible.

Fight For Love is in my top 75 or so of all time and is a perfect pop song, I agree there's just no comparison. Beat Of My Drum is very solid too, it's just nothing compared to FFTL, same goes for Insatiable which actually hit #1 on my personal chart laugh.gif Threads is... well, it's better than One Day We'll Fly Away, I'll just say that.

Definitely Nicola. I find FFTL's lyrics annoying and Insatiable is alright but Beat Of My Drum wub.gif

Out of those songs, I listen to 'Insatiable' the most. However I've got to say that Cheryl's was by far the best debut single. Overplay killed it for a long time and there's many Cheryl tracks I still listen to more, but certainly at the time, everything about it was perfect: a solid pop classic and a huge middle finger to all the tabloids and critics and the like who were scrutinising every detail about her relationship with Ashley.

I like 'One Day We'll Fly Away' and I'm glad Kimberley pursued music she wanted, but I feel the song is a tad to big for her vocal; 'Beat of My Drum' is good but not at all Nicola's best; and Sarah Harding's single is disappointingly terrible.

1. Fight for This Love
2. Insatiable
3. Beat of My Drum
4. One Day I'll Fly Away
5. Threads

1. Fight For This Love (still one of her best)
2. Insatiable (very close second)
3. Beat Of My Drum (most of her album is leagues ahead of the above 2 songs but not this imo)
4. One Day I'll Fly Away (I have a soft spot for this)
5. Threads (it's a bit of a mess really)

Poor hen Sarah has 0 votes. Even Kim got one.

I must admit I don't listen to either Fight for This Love or Beat of My Drum anymore as they haven't aged very well for me and I was more obsessed with FFTL when it came out, but I have to go for BOMD as it's a bit edgier.

BOMD has aged great! It still feels as current and quirky as it did 3 (?) years ago?
