Nadine Coyle has revealed that she is working on new solo music.

The former Girls Aloud singer posted a message on her Twitter page announcing that she is back in the studio recording new material.

She said: "Back in the studio. If you could hear what i hear!!!! Xxx this is for all of you. Xciting! Xxx"

Coyle released her debut solo effort Insatiable exclusively through Tesco in November 2010, where it peaked at number 47.

She put out the track 'Sweetest High' a year later under the pseudonym Nadine 2.0, which she performed on a club tour in the US.

Can't wait for some new Nadine music! cheer.gif

'Nadine 2.0'?! When was she EVER called that? wacko.gif I'm looking forward to this anyway - Insatiable was strong as an album, despite sounding dated in places.

Posted by: liamk97 5th April 2013, 05:36 PM

Ooh this is exciting! I LOVED the single Insatiable even though everyone seems to hate it. Wasn't overly won over by the whole album, so hopefully this one will (may give her debut another go).

Posted by: Naruto 5th April 2013, 05:38 PM

Red Lights, Raw and Lullaby were great, the rest were pretty forgettable. Still better than 3 Words & Messy Little Teardrops.

I don't have high expectations for this either.

She was, I remember it. laugh.gif Just in the lead-up to Sweetest High being unveiled, it was referred to as being "Nadine 2.0".

Put Your Hands Up is probably still the best Solo Aloud song yet so I'm looking foward to new Nadine.

^biggrin.gif Omg that tweet!!!

And I'm excited too; for all the jokes about it and the criticism Insatiable was actually a good album. Especially Put Your Hands Up and Runnin'!

I can't remember that either to be honest!

Posted by: Jamesy 5th April 2013, 06:58 PM

She needs to try and recreate the GA sound now!

Posted by: Jạy 5th April 2013, 07:58 PM

I have everything crossed that she'll work with Xenomania.

Posted by: Juranameux 5th April 2013, 09:44 PM

I have so much love for her now that it's came to light that she didn't have anything to do with the split! Love 'Insatiable' - the song - really need to get the album tbh.

Posted by: Aphrodite 6th April 2013, 12:22 AM

I would love her to do the Girls Aloud sound, none of the others are and Nadine could do well with it especially if she works with Xenomania. Also she needs to get a single out asap while Girls Aloud are still been talked about etc.

Posted by: Davidson 6th April 2013, 02:07 PM

I loved 'Insatiable' as the first single, however overall the album was very dull and poorly produced, you could really tell how cheap the whole project was. I am also hoping she does try and do the Girls Aloud sound but I am not going to get any of my hopes up for the quality of this, but obviously I hope she can pull it out of the bag this time round.

Posted by: Naruto 7th April 2013, 05:08 AM

I hope she finds a better way to release this album.

Posted by: Lukuzz 7th April 2013, 01:42 PM

I adored her first album and I am looking forward to this, would be great if she did well but never gonna happen.

Posted by: Aphrodite 7th April 2013, 07:09 PM

Hopefully a poptastic new single will do well for her and get the album of to a promising start.

Posted by: Silver Rocket 7th April 2013, 11:17 PM

I can't see how she'd do any better than last time, but she's so much more talented than Cheryl so it'd be nice to see something work out well for her.

Posted by: pippa 8th April 2013, 08:42 AM

If Nadine goes with the right label, gets the sound right and does the promotion she MAY do better than last time round. I guess it wouldn't take a lot to do better this time as insatiable was a flop in every way. She has the talent and a lot more than Cheryl so she deserves the same level of success if she can get the connection.

Posted by: Matt Aloud 10th April 2013, 02:52 PM

Tesco the main reason it dived so badly. Was a huge error as soon as I heard about it.

Hope she pushes it out to everyone this time!

Not sure she can get a deal with a big label after the last campaign disaster though. But wait and see.

I love how most of the girls jump on solo projects already (Sarah, Nadine, Kim), and Cheryl will probably be the last to announce something new but she will slay them all with it. laugh.gif

Posted by: Naruteux 29th April 2013, 01:24 PM

Really? I don't think we'll get anything anytime soon, sadly.

Posted by: Aphrodite 29th April 2013, 06:53 PM

I really hope she goes down the pop route, if she does she stands a chance and i think thats what the fans fro her too.

Posted by: Silver Rocket 29th April 2013, 07:03 PM

Let's not kid ourselves here, she will never stand a chance.

I'm excited for the quality of the material though if Xenomania are on board.

Nadine Coyle confirmed second solo album!

Irish singer-songwriter actress and model, the one and only Nadine Coyle has launched a bombshell, and nothing will ever be the same.

The member of girl band Girls Aloud has revealed that she’s working on a new solo album with Girls Aloud’s producer, Brian Higgins, known as part of production duo Xenomania.

Coyle, who racked up 20 consecutive top ten hits with Girls Aloud, all produced by Higgins, also discusses the possibility of recording some of the group’s unreleased material for her forthcoming second solo album. Queen of recycling.

During an interview with Attitude Magazine, she said:

QUOTE
For each album we recorded about 100 songs, easily. And Brian has an amazing way of pulling different stuff from different eras and different albums and putting things together from different tracks – you record to a bare piece of music and then Brian thickens it up – so you never know what on earth he will have done with your studio time. So yeah, I would love to have something like that.

The not-yet-titled second solo album is planned to be released in the middle of 2015 and comes following TESCO’s exclusive premiere of her debut solo album “Insatiable“, released in 2010 via her own label Black Pen Records.

That's such bad journalism - where is it from?! I'd be excited to hear this album if the direction is true but everything about that article screams lie-upon-lie.

Posted by: JosephStyles 15th September 2014, 11:17 AM

Josep Vinaixa, a site which is mostly reliable from my experience!

Posted by: panther25 26th May 2015, 11:14 AM

Count the site as unreliable in this case!
She was on BBCR2 Sunday and discussed her album along with performing a song from Lord of the Dance and Fields of Gold. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6okvP19Ja0
She's NOT collaborating with Brian and she's experimenting with loads of different sounds. When asked about her style, she mentioned she enjoys/her voice lends itself to bluesy, rockier sounds and ballads. Insight into what to expect on the album?
Perhaps communication broke down with Brian like it did with Geffen. unsure.gif kink.gif

Eh, since when? The problem with 'Sweetest High' wasn't Nadine's vocals not suiting the track (honestly I'd say they were the only saving grace) but the production being ... probably the most amateur thing I've ever heard by a big name. We don't need a Leona Lewis album, we just need a well-made one.

THE ONLY GIRL ALOUD Nadine Coyle is bringing back Girls Aloud as a solo project after other members refused reunion
Nadine said: 'I get messages from fans asking to perform live again and I am giving them what they want'

NADINE COYLE is bringing back GIRLS ALOUD on her own after her bandmates refused a reunion.

The singer will embark on a solo greatest hits tour, five years after the group split.

And she’s determined to give the fans what they’ve been waiting for, with or without CHERYL, KIMBERLEY WALSH, SARAH HARDING and NICOLA ROBERTS.

Nadine said: “I love the Girls Aloud songs and get messages from fans asking to hear them performed live again. So this is giving them what they want.

“This tour is gonna be one big party night out. All the hits the fans love plus the new songs I’ve been working on over the last few years. I literally can’t wait to get out back on the road again.”

She is also releasing a brand new four track EP in April that will go back to her pop roots.

The first track called Girls On Fire will drop this Thursday and in true Girls Aloud style, it’s all about strong women.

Posted by: tommie 5th February 2018, 01:10 AM

So, I'm guessing the tracks on the EP are Girls On Fire, Running, Something In Your Bones and Gossip. Go To Work will be a stand-alone single I guess.

Posted by: Jay ☆ 5th February 2018, 04:16 AM

Posted by: Jay ☆ 5th February 2018, 04:42 AM

If you look at the placement of the tracks it seems like the new ones are placed in the left and right bottom corners (Running * Girls On Fire * Something In Your Bones / Gossip * Go To Work), so I assume it's a new song. Could be I Fall with a new title.

Posted by: Lukuzz 5th February 2018, 04:36 PM

Mad idea, could go either way but I think I will try get tickets. If I can get time off work. Anyone know how much they gonna be?

Posted by: Davidson 5th February 2018, 05:00 PM

Apparently the tickets for the Dublin show are £27.00

Given how small her sales are I do worry that those prices are too high. I would think £18-£20.00 would have been more reasonable.

Having said that I'm getting a ticket for Glasgow either way!

Posted by: Jay ☆ 6th February 2018, 01:18 AM

I'll be aiming to go to Birmingham! I hope it does well for her. Hopefully the draw of the main singer of Girls Aloud singing old hits, is strong enough for her to fill these venues.

The Sun sensationalising her singing Girls Aloud songs has certainly brought a lot of attention to the fact that she's touring. Which has created a lot of further articles with headlines like: "Nadine Coyle bringing back Girls Aloud as a solo act" / "Nadine Coyle to go on one-woman Girls Aloud tour" ( drama.gif )

Press release:

QUOTE
She returned to the music scene late last year with a brand new song 'Go To Work', now Nadine Coyle announces the release of a new 4 track EP and a UK tour.

Nadine will release a 4 track EP in April via Virgin/EMI, with the first track from the set dropping this Thursday February 8th, 'Girls On Fire', an in your face Xenomania produced pop creation celebrating strong women.

Nadine will also be hitting the road this May for a UK and Ireland tour. She will be performing the greatest hits of Girls Aloud solo, alongside songs from her forthcoming new album.

The tour dates are:

Thursday 10th May - Glasgow O2 ABC
Friday 11th May - Birmingham O2 Institute
Sunday 13th May - Manchester O2 Ritz
Monday 14th May - Bristol O2 Academy
Tuesday 15th May - London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire
Saturday 19th May - Dublin Olympia
Sunday 20th May - Belfast Limelight

Pop fans should rejoice as this tour is set to be the ultimate party night out this Spring, seeing Nadine perform such legendary hits as 'Sound Of The Underground', 'Love Machine', 'Biology', "Something New' and 'The Promise', alongside new Nadine stormers such as 'Go To Work' and 'Girls On Fire'.

Tickets go on sale this Friday via gigsandtours.com.

Nadine's latest track, 'Go To Work' was released in September last year, and has to date had over 1.1 million streams on Spotify, hitting No.1 on their Viral Chart.

As one fifth of chart-mauling, award-winning, expectation-shattering girl band Girls Aloud, Nadine has already played her part in helping redefine pop. Under the watchful eye of Brian Higgins, Girls Aloud racked up a an incredible twenty-one UK Top Ten singles, twenty of those consecutively.

If each member of the band – who sashayed their way through a ten-year, five album career – had a role, then Nadine's was The Voice. Often demoing the songs with Brian ahead of the other girls during the band's tenure, it's always been any discerning pop fan's dream for the pair to collaborate again on Coyle's solo material.

Why are those tickets so expensive?

I wouldn't say they're overly expensive, at least compared to what tickets tend to cost these days. £28 for a ticket at those sort of venues seems fairly standard. Then another £55 on top of that for VIP (to meet her, get a photo together, get a signed photo, and early access to venue) is probably as cheap as it's going to get for that sort of package! [Price of ticket & VIP is a bit more expensive at the London venue]. Melanie C charged twice as much for her VIP.

It seems that Nadine has sold out her VIP tickets everywhere apart from Bristol, so far. Maybe there's more being held back for the general sale on Friday though?

Posted by: SGrey 8th February 2018, 05:58 AM

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head really - if you look by comparison at standard ticket prices it really isn’t that much more for what you get. I didn’t get tickets as I totally forgot about presale but might go for a VIP if I can in general sale!

Go Nadine

I wonder if we'll get an album at some point...

"Something in your bone" is growing on me a bit, but it's still not the smash I was expecting.

A new interview with Nadine: https://www.irishnews.com/lifestyle/2018/03/26/news/girl-allowed-nadine-coyle-on-r-booted-solo-career-motherhood-and-girls-aloud-1286278/

"The beauty of working with Brian is that you can go in so many different directions; pop with a rock edge or a soul edge or a bit of jazz, dance, drum 'n' bass or whatever," says Nadine, who will be strutting her stuff alongside a team of dancers for the solo shows.

"It's great to have such a huge collection of songs that I can draw upon at any time."

On taking sole control of the Girls Aloud numbers for the first time, she adds: "They don't sound that different, but there's a few of Sarah's bits where her voice is quite distinctive – and with me singing it definitely sounds different.

"We've also gone back to the original versions of some of the songs which have parts that weren't in the released versions. So it's all very interesting."

Nadine saying the London Grammar style stuff she recorded will be released at some point ohmy.gif

Oh and Nadine saying she'd like to work with Dua *.*

She cancelled her tour.

Posted by: Theo. 23rd April 2018, 12:51 PM

Eek!

I hadn't bought a ticket but I'm glad I didn't now, I don't think I'd be able to cope with two artists cancelling on me in one year drama.gif

I hope everything is okay with her though sad.gif

Posted by: AdamAloud 23rd April 2018, 12:52 PM

A shame but I think she punched above her weight with this tour.

Sorry to those who were going sad.gif

Posted by: Martyn 23rd April 2018, 12:55 PM

Can we change the name of the thread to EP and broken promises.

Posted by: Jay ☆ 23rd April 2018, 10:46 PM

Gutted. sad.gif Poor Nadine, she really can't seem to catch a break. Evidently a tour of this scale was too ambitious.

Posted by: Hayzayy 24th April 2018, 01:53 PM

The whole "you deserved the best possible show" is a bit akward, fans deserved the show they payed for, that's all. No one had huge expectations and Nadine on stage with a few dancers would have done the job.
I feel sorry for all those who booked flights and hotel rooms. I get that it's beyond her control but surely they could have cancelled it earlier and not so close to the tour...

Posted by: SGrey 24th April 2018, 03:57 PM

It is frustrating that I have booked a hotel room and travel for the weekend but I can see why they've made this decision. It really did feel a bit out of place too her doing GA tracks which did seem mostly to be the appeal and if that hasn't worked there really wasn't anything they could have done unfortunately.

Posted by: Lukuzz 24th April 2018, 08:29 PM

Such a shame, was looking forward to it. Poor lass can’t catch a break

Posted by: Neil 25th April 2018, 08:13 PM

So... did it not sell enough to be commercially viable? The reason given seems a bit of a cop out to me, as stated above, no one would have expected anything more than Nadine on stage with maybe a dancer or 2.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 28th April 2018, 01:10 PM

Her thinking she could sell even half of Shepherds Bush Empire is laughable. Sorry.
