'Nadine 2.0'?! When was she EVER called that? I'm looking forward to this anyway - Insatiable was strong as an album, despite sounding dated in places.
Ooh this is exciting! I LOVED the single Insatiable even though everyone seems to hate it. Wasn't overly won over by the whole album, so hopefully this one will (may give her debut another go).
Red Lights, Raw and Lullaby were great, the rest were pretty forgettable. Still better than 3 Words & Messy Little Teardrops.
I don't have high expectations for this either.
Put Your Hands Up is probably still the best Solo Aloud song yet so I'm looking foward to new Nadine.
^ Omg that tweet!!!
And I'm excited too; for all the jokes about it and the criticism Insatiable was actually a good album. Especially Put Your Hands Up and Runnin'!
She needs to try and recreate the GA sound now!
I have everything crossed that she'll work with Xenomania.
I have so much love for her now that it's came to light that she didn't have anything to do with the split! Love 'Insatiable' - the song - really need to get the album tbh.
I would love her to do the Girls Aloud sound, none of the others are and Nadine could do well with it especially if she works with Xenomania. Also she needs to get a single out asap while Girls Aloud are still been talked about etc.
I loved 'Insatiable' as the first single, however overall the album was very dull and poorly produced, you could really tell how cheap the whole project was. I am also hoping she does try and do the Girls Aloud sound but I am not going to get any of my hopes up for the quality of this, but obviously I hope she can pull it out of the bag this time round.
I hope she finds a better way to release this album.
I adored her first album and I am looking forward to this, would be great if she did well but never gonna happen.
Tesco's Finest.
Hopefully a poptastic new single will do well for her and get the album of to a promising start.
I can't see how she'd do any better than last time, but she's so much more talented than Cheryl so it'd be nice to see something work out well for her.
If Nadine goes with the right label, gets the sound right and does the promotion she MAY do better than last time round. I guess it wouldn't take a lot to do better this time as insatiable was a flop in every way. She has the talent and a lot more than Cheryl so she deserves the same level of success if she can get the connection.
Tesco the main reason it dived so badly. Was a huge error as soon as I heard about it.
Hope she pushes it out to everyone this time!
Can't wait for new Nadine, hope we hear something this year!
I think we might get a new single before the year is out.
Really? I don't think we'll get anything anytime soon, sadly.
I really hope she goes down the pop route, if she does she stands a chance and i think thats what the fans fro her too.
Let's not kid ourselves here, she will never stand a chance.
I'm excited for the quality of the material though if Xenomania are on board.
That's such bad journalism - where is it from?! I'd be excited to hear this album if the direction is true but everything about that article screams lie-upon-lie.
Josep Vinaixa, a site which is mostly reliable from my experience!
Count the site as unreliable in this case!
She was on BBCR2 Sunday and discussed her album along with performing a song from Lord of the Dance and Fields of Gold. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6okvP19Ja0
She's NOT collaborating with Brian and she's experimenting with loads of different sounds. When asked about her style, she mentioned she enjoys/her voice lends itself to bluesy, rockier sounds and ballads. Insight into what to expect on the album?
Perhaps communication broke down with Brian like it did with Geffen.
I've missed hearing her speaking voice lmao <3
Her performance of Fields of Gold...
I hope it's not Sweetest High II or Diamonds because they wern't good enough. No dance music please.
Nadine you excel at ballads.
Didn't know Sweetest High was so hated. It's up there with my favourite solo tracks, as basic as it sounds it's still a bop.
Nadine giving us Cinderella's Eyes 2 tho! *.*
Nadine has been signed to Virgin EMI, a big label! I guess we can expect new music from here soon...
More here: https://www.list.co.uk/article/93377-nadine-coyle-signs-to-virgin-emi/
Adele is worried
brb supergluing my weave on
Great news for Nadine, and with Virgin/EMI too! I wonder what sort of route they'll go down with promo for this? I imagine they'll aim at the Radio 2 end of the spectrum. Good to see Brian Higgins appears to be on board too.
I feel like someone didn't quite GET THE MEMO that it's not April 1st anymore.
I'm sure she said ages ago her second album was going to be in the same vein as London Grammar's first album???
OMG at her selling her restaurant get them coins Coyle
Tesco Nadine is back!!! She was outclassed though imo in the solo Girls Aloud member singles by the fantastic Lucky Day by Nicola Roberts.
Exciting news! Pleasantly surprised she's on a major label, go girl. *.* Nadine & Brian, give us some bops.
omg this album gave me an asthma attack making may a gemini xxxx
I'm so excited for this as I need anything new related to GA
Will it be only sold in Tesco this time again I wonder! It was certainly a unique sales tactic the first time.
Lol I'm really excited for this
Nadine tweeted "new songs tonight" about an hour ago! Apparently she's performing somewhere, hopefully videos surface tomorrow.
Set list! I can only find small clips on Twitter.

Girls on Fire sounding good, that chorus *.* Supposedly it's the new single, can't wait to hear it properly!
Here's a longer recording of Girls on Fire! https://twitter.com/jamieevans19/status/957627714005028864
I only remember the first two songs
Mess!
Dullness not detected! I find the chorus to be catchy, and those vocals *.* Saaaang!
Apparently it is being released next week
‘Girls on Fire’ is giving me ‘Insatiable’ vibes...
Nadine's Instagram has teased exciting news tomorrow *.* Hopefully an album announcement!
THE ONLY GIRL ALOUD Nadine Coyle is bringing back Girls Aloud as a solo project after other members refused reunion
Nadine said: 'I get messages from fans asking to perform live again and I am giving them what they want'
NADINE COYLE is bringing back GIRLS ALOUD on her own after her bandmates refused a reunion.
The singer will embark on a solo greatest hits tour, five years after the group split.
And she’s determined to give the fans what they’ve been waiting for, with or without CHERYL, KIMBERLEY WALSH, SARAH HARDING and NICOLA ROBERTS.
Nadine said: “I love the Girls Aloud songs and get messages from fans asking to hear them performed live again. So this is giving them what they want.
“This tour is gonna be one big party night out. All the hits the fans love plus the new songs I’ve been working on over the last few years. I literally can’t wait to get out back on the road again.”
She is also releasing a brand new four track EP in April that will go back to her pop roots.
The first track called Girls On Fire will drop this Thursday and in true Girls Aloud style, it’s all about strong women.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/5498728/nadine-coyle-go-on-girls-aloud-tour-alone/
Oh my...
!!!
So, I'm guessing the tracks on the EP are Girls On Fire, Running, Something In Your Bones and Gossip. Go To Work will be a stand-alone single I guess.
I assumed Running would be Runnin' from Insatiable.
"A brand new four track EP in April" reported by The Sun, but her tour poster says "forthcoming new album". I guess we should keep the thread title as 2nd Album, until she herself confirms what she's releasing next.
Absolutely dead at this idea *_* I did think it was strange that her post yesterday featured her in a Girls Aloud tour outfit.
QUEEN NADINE COMING TO BRISTOL!!!
The other girls can do one...
Mad idea, could go either way but I think I will try get tickets. If I can get time off work. Anyone know how much they gonna be?
Apparently the tickets for the Dublin show are £27.00
Given how small her sales are I do worry that those prices are too high. I would think £18-£20.00 would have been more reasonable.
Having said that I'm getting a ticket for Glasgow either way!
I'll be aiming to go to Birmingham! I hope it does well for her. Hopefully the draw of the main singer of Girls Aloud singing old hits, is strong enough for her to fill these venues.
The Sun sensationalising her singing Girls Aloud songs has certainly brought a lot of attention to the fact that she's touring. Which has created a lot of further articles with headlines like: "Nadine Coyle bringing back Girls Aloud as a solo act" / "Nadine Coyle to go on one-woman Girls Aloud tour" ( )
Press release:
I got a VIP ticket for Birmingham! Excited! Actually, I'll be feeling nervous about this for the next 3 months
Got tickets for Manchester
How much are VIP tickets?
£83 - I’m gutted now I know there wasn’t a vip option as would have gone to save myself going alone and being awkward!
Glad you got tickets Jay!
Why are those tickets so expensive?
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head really - if you look by comparison at standard ticket prices it really isn’t that much more for what you get. I didn’t get tickets as I totally forgot about presale but might go for a VIP if I can in general sale!
GOT A VIP TICKET !!
Also got VIP!!!!! Very excited!
Got standard for London. Can't really afford VIP sadly.
What sort of things do you talk to them aboot backstage? They are essentially strangers after all
Glad you all got tickets!
Thanks Jay very surprised to have gotten M&G for Birmingham as it was sold out in presale!
http://www.1883magazine.com/music-features/music-features/nadine-coyle A new photoshoot and interview!
"There’s a song coming out in two weeks called Gossip and is a total different style than Girls On Fire or Go To Work. It’s really laid back, it’s more reflective, not deeper but more reflective. We will keep releasing a song every two weeks and just see how quickly we can turn songs around and get them out there."
My ticket for Birmingham arrived yesterday! Only 56 days to go!
The EP is out at midnight but she hasn't announced a tracklist. Are we expecting many more songs other than the 3/4 singles?
Gossip is probably the weakest track on the EP. Where was Go To Work?!
Liking Something In Your Bones, I would say that along side Girls On Fire are the best 2 on the EP. The other 2 are kinda filler material. Wish she was a lot bigger than she is but she’s never gonna get a full album. Still looking forward to what she can bring on the tour
I don't really like SOmething in your bones
omg as if she's stuck a bloody cover on it and no go to work...
think ill just stay on standby for CHERYL5
Currently #3 on iTunes album chart was not expecting that!
Go Nadine
I wonder if we'll get an album at some point...
"Something in your bone" is growing on me a bit, but it's still not the smash I was expecting.
A new interview with Nadine: https://www.irishnews.com/lifestyle/2018/03/26/news/girl-allowed-nadine-coyle-on-r-booted-solo-career-motherhood-and-girls-aloud-1286278/
"The beauty of working with Brian is that you can go in so many different directions; pop with a rock edge or a soul edge or a bit of jazz, dance, drum 'n' bass or whatever," says Nadine, who will be strutting her stuff alongside a team of dancers for the solo shows.
"It's great to have such a huge collection of songs that I can draw upon at any time."
On taking sole control of the Girls Aloud numbers for the first time, she adds: "They don't sound that different, but there's a few of Sarah's bits where her voice is quite distinctive – and with me singing it definitely sounds different.
"We've also gone back to the original versions of some of the songs which have parts that weren't in the released versions. So it's all very interesting."
Nadine saying the London Grammar style stuff she recorded will be released at some point
Oh and Nadine saying she'd like to work with Dua *.*
She cancelled her tour.
Eek!
I hadn't bought a ticket but I'm glad I didn't now, I don't think I'd be able to cope with two artists cancelling on me in one year
I hope everything is okay with her though
A shame but I think she punched above her weight with this tour.
Sorry to those who were going
Can we change the name of the thread to EP and broken promises.
Gutted. Poor Nadine, she really can't seem to catch a break. Evidently a tour of this scale was too ambitious.
The whole "you deserved the best possible show" is a bit akward, fans deserved the show they payed for, that's all. No one had huge expectations and Nadine on stage with a few dancers would have done the job.
I feel sorry for all those who booked flights and hotel rooms. I get that it's beyond her control but surely they could have cancelled it earlier and not so close to the tour...
It is frustrating that I have booked a hotel room and travel for the weekend but I can see why they've made this decision. It really did feel a bit out of place too her doing GA tracks which did seem mostly to be the appeal and if that hasn't worked there really wasn't anything they could have done unfortunately.
Such a shame, was looking forward to it. Poor lass can’t catch a break
So... did it not sell enough to be commercially viable? The reason given seems a bit of a cop out to me, as stated above, no one would have expected anything more than Nadine on stage with maybe a dancer or 2.
Her thinking she could sell even half of Shepherds Bush Empire is laughable. Sorry.
