Afternoon all biggrin.gif As always, NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

I'm hosting from Cornwall today and my connection has been known to dip out occasionally. I'm hoping it'll be fine for the duration of the chart, I'd say it should be, but if I'm a little slow at points, you know why.

Released: 2nd August 2018
Label: RCA Records

Biography

Zain Javadd "Zayn" Malik (/ˈmælɪk/, Urdu: زین جواد ملک‬‎; born 12 January 1993), recording mononymously as Zayn, is an English singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Bradford, West Yorkshire, Malik auditioned as a solo artist for the British music competition The X Factor in 2010. After being eliminated as a solo performer, Malik was brought back into the competition, along with four other contestants, to form the boy band that would become known as One Direction. Malik split from the group in March 2015 and signed a solo recording contract with RCA Records.

Adopting a more alternative R&B music style with his debut studio album Mind of Mine (2016) and its lead single, "Pillowtalk", Malik became the first British male artist to debut at number one in both the UK and US with a debut single and debut album. Malik is the recipient of several accolades, including an American Music Award, Billboard Music Award and MTV Video Music Award.

Biography

Robin Miriam Carlsson (born 12 June 1979), known as Robyn, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and record producer. She arrived on the music scene with her 1995 debut album, Robyn Is Here, which produced two Billboard Hot 100 top-10 singles: "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love". Her second and third albums, My Truth (1999) and Don't Stop the Music (2002), were released in Sweden. Robyn returned to international success with her fourth album, Robyn (2005), which brought critical praise and a Grammy Award nomination. The album spawned the singles "Be Mine!" and the UK number one "With Every Heartbeat". Robyn released a trilogy of mini-albums in 2010, known as the Body Talk series. They received broad critical praise, three Grammy Award nominations, and produced three top-10 singles: "Dancing On My Own", "Hang with Me" and "Indestructible". Robyn followed this with two collaborative EPs: Do It Again (2014) with Röyksopp, and Love Is Free (2015) with La Bagatelle Magique. - Wikipedia

Thanks for referencing Robyn, Joseph! tongue.gif

Hoping that "Missing U" has made the top 100. I'm confident given it was hanging around the 70s in the midweeks for most of the week. The song itself has certainly grown on me although still wouldn't say it's a standout single by her. Looking forward to what's to come, for certain!

Also great to see her chart history there. "Konichiwa Bitches" making the top 100 just, something I'd not known! "Be Mine!" and "Dancing On My Own" deserved to be much bigger - in fact they deserved to be number 1s based on their quality. Also loved "Dream On", was surprised when that didn't do better.

The "Body Talk" singles didn't do fantastically either, I hadn't realised ohmy.gif "Indestructibile" not even top 100!

Just to make sure, is Travis Scott remotely acceptable in terms of human being? All I know from him is that he got Kylie Jenner knocked up.

I'm not up to date with rappers private lives but with XXXTENTACIÓN and 6ix9ine doing things on this side of human squalour, I reckon the bar is set pretty low.

Yes, it definitely did! I hadn't noticed it was missing. Love "Handle Me" wub.gif Perhaps it wasn't the right choice as follow up to "With Every Heartbeat" but I was surprised when it missed the top 10.
