BuzzJack Music Forum _ Pop _ Kygo, Zara Larsson, Tyga - Like It Is

Posted by: Wall 18th March 2020, 03:42 PM

It’s coming.

Posted by: Frenchie 18th March 2020, 04:11 PM

I was excited until I saw Tyga laugh.gif

Hopefully it's good, Zara really needs a hit or she could be over.

Posted by: Wall 18th March 2020, 04:32 PM

Co written by Dua Lipa

Posted by: Cqmerqn 18th March 2020, 10:12 PM

A track from 2014. Smash.

Posted by: Wall 18th March 2020, 10:27 PM

Don’t worry bout me

Posted by: Jαsє 18th March 2020, 11:57 PM

Kygo and Zara sounds lush. Why they gotta ruin it with Tyga drama.gif

Posted by: JulianNial 19th March 2020, 11:20 AM

Could be nice, but I think I'll hold my breath for the new Clean Bandit collab.

Posted by: Bjork 19th March 2020, 12:45 PM

sounds terrible on paper, a Dua Lipa reject,
her demo is online btw and sounds horrible
and then Tyga included too :/

Posted by: Wall 21st March 2020, 10:55 AM

It might be an old song but I'm sure a reworked Kygo version will be pretty good and the Dua demo is pretty good. I'm pretty hyped but Dua will take all the spotlight and headlines for the release .

Posted by: Wall 26th March 2020, 12:30 PM

this is so underwhelming

Imagine a day that I'm not underwhelmed by a Zara song but this in general is basic, underwhelming and I'll be shocked if this manages to go top 10.

Posted by: Cqmerqn 26th March 2020, 12:57 PM

This is Kygo’s worst ever single

It won’t be a hit at all

Posted by: Wall 26th March 2020, 03:27 PM

okay we have a bop

Oh heavens, that must be really bad.

Posted by: Defaze 26th March 2020, 11:50 PM

Tyga aside (he sounds like actual dogshit), I actually quite like this. It's a bit of a misfire after 'Higher Love' + won't do anything for Zara's commercial prospects rn, but it's a usable bop at least.

Posted by: George.keh 27th March 2020, 12:45 AM

I really like this actually very feel good and cute

Posted by: JosephStyles 27th March 2020, 01:03 AM

Not getting the huge negativity in here? Zara sounds LUSH and this is pretty standard Kygo, if you like him then you'll surely like this (from a production standpoint at least). Tyga actually sounds quite good on it too I think!

Will it be a hit? Who knows, Higher Love was probably a big blip in his chart history but I don't think it's impossible either.

Posted by: Wall 27th March 2020, 10:05 AM

I like the video, I wish it had a bit more Zara but I really hope that it becomes successful because if this managed top 10 it would make things a little bit easier for her next single.

Posted by: Wall 27th March 2020, 10:05 AM

insta added to HHUK, it's a bit low but at least it was insta added.

Posted by: Cameron 27th March 2020, 01:53 PM

This is alright, I wish Tyga was not on it though. Zara can do SO much better vocally too.

This is holding up very well ohmy.gif Looks like we could have a future hit on our hands

It's SUCH a grower!

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 31st March 2020, 06:13 PM

Addison Rae has done a tik tok dance for this and she’s the fifth most followers tik tok! We have a smash

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 1st April 2020, 08:54 PM

Despite being #43 on worldwide Spotify, this might not even be a single as he has a new song coming on Friday 💀

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 3rd April 2020, 09:06 AM

Not been added by any major radio stations this week, I think this is Zara’s first single not to be added on its second week of release.

It’s also not on any Apple Music playlist which is v weird.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 3rd April 2020, 05:47 PM

Debuts at number 35 here in Ireland this week.

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 3rd April 2020, 05:49 PM

Debuts

#3 Norway
#4 Sweden
#35 Ireland
#41 Germany
#49 UK
#76 Netherlands

Posted by: Bjork 5th April 2020, 11:29 AM

at last this is moving up on Apple Music, #175 now, doesn't seem like much but until now it's been around the #500 position
so thats much better

Posted by: Cqmerqn 5th April 2020, 02:56 PM

New Kygo song has peaked higher than this on US iTunes.

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 5th April 2020, 04:13 PM

Yeah, I think they’re still pushing for this as single but the new song even went higher on Spotify in the USA, it wouldn’t surprise me if they changed singles but I’m hoping this week like it is can finally gather momentum with being playlisted by capital and radio 1

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 5th April 2020, 04:13 PM

Also if this could debut on the billboard that would be fantastic!

It also managed over 11m streams in one week which is good for Zara but the Youtube views are pretty terrible

It’s not on one single Apple Music playlist. Dance or pop which surprises me tbh

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 6th April 2020, 12:59 PM

lol

I think they’re pushing I’ll Wait now, it’s just been put higher on HH in Norway and Sweden. It’s been such a mess, like it is should have been sent to radios but another flop in the bag *.*

Posted by: LikeLeeIs 6th April 2020, 04:13 PM

#64 in mids and I oop

Posted by: Coronarella 7th April 2020, 12:57 AM

sad.gif this needs to be a hit. so SO wonderful!

Posted by: Wall🐠 10th April 2020, 02:35 PM

Debuted at #113 on the billboard, her only song to debut but it’s not been sent to radio yet and it’s kinda fell apart on iTunes. It’s still not been playlisted by UK stations and not one single Apple Music playlist

Posted by: JulianNial 2nd May 2020, 01:53 PM

Back up to #55, it's really grown on me I must admit!

Posted by: Andrew. 10th May 2020, 10:08 PM

this is such a bop, why has it not smashed? sad.gif

Posted by: Wall 10th May 2020, 11:00 PM

I think it’s mainly because he put three singles out in four weeks, its climbing again on Spotify though so hopefully it will manage at least one week top 40! It’s not received a discount or any airplay which has shocked me

Posted by: jakee 11th May 2020, 08:45 PM

just to let everybody know this is in my top 5 songs of the year 😳

Posted by: Wall 24th June 2020, 12:04 AM

So this could manage to somehow avoid ACR, it climbed on Monday’s chart prediction and it seems to have a couple of thousand extra streams in comparison to last week!

If it manages sixteen weeks top 100, that’s a decent enough achievement considering it never went top 40.

Posted by: Andrew. 24th June 2020, 03:51 PM

It should easily go silver then and possibly gold in the long run? Sleeper hit *.*

Posted by: Jack 25th June 2020, 04:52 PM

This has grown on me SO much. In love like three months later.

Posted by: Wall 29th June 2020, 06:39 PM

#80 in mids, will probably finally drop out the top 75 but 16 weeks top 100!

Posted by: Bjork 30th June 2020, 06:31 AM

It's crazy how long the song has been on HH and how high it's been, guess it was too late for the song to go top 40
but I think it's the reason why it's had so much longevity in the top 100

Posted by: Wall 30th June 2020, 12:28 PM

Yeh it took a while to get high but when it did, it didn’t have much effect and I think that’s mainly due to the non existent radio / video plays.

It would have went top 40 had Kygo not released a new song every week, it really affected its performance on playlists!

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 30th June 2020, 09:49 PM

I'd say this is one of those songs that feels bigger than its peak suggests (in terms of hearing it around, casual observation etc).

Posted by: Wall 30th June 2020, 11:07 PM

I’ve honestly not heard it on any radio station!

It will manage to pass 100million streams in the next week which is decent enough!

Posted by: Wall 10th July 2020, 07:37 PM

Like It Is spends 14 weeks top 100 and has now fell out
