Thanks to all who voted last round!
Eliminated 20. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face (12/38 votes, 32.43%) So in what was probably pretty obvious, after narrowly sneaking through in the last few rounds, luck runs out for this cut from their megasmash album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, the first single from there to leave us, leaving X&Y and (surprisingly) Ghost Stories as the last two albums untouched thus far. God... was inspired by the music of Muse and PJ Harvey and something with a bit more 'energy' compared to the rest of the album and is perhaps most notable for Guy Berryman's electric riff that mixed with the acoustic guitar. It was only ever released as a promotional single in the UK and US so only reached #100 over here, so it's rather an achievement it lasted this long! It's not a huge favourite but a very nice song, and I like that it's a bit more cryptic lyrically than their other stuff 20. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face (12/38 votes, 32.43%) 21. Charlie Brown (10/34 votes, 10%) (18/28 votes in tiebreak) 22. Christmas Lights (10/34 votes, 10%) (19/28 votes in tiebreak) 23. Up&Up (11/34, 11%) 24. Shiver (7/31, 9.59%) (Less votes in previous rounds) 25. Lost! (7/31, 9.59%) 26. Everglow (13/31, 17.81%) 27. Life in Technicolor II (9/32, 14.06%) 28. Atlas (12/32, 18.75%) 29. Something Just Like This (w/ The Chainsmokers) (9/29, 14.06%) 30. Miracles (Someone Special) (w/ Big Sean) (11/29, 17.19%) As we are in the top 20, we are doing just single eliminations, please vote for your LEAST FAVOURITE from the above list. You have until Monday night. |

Switching over to hymn for the weekend now, a little basic for them.

'Everyday Life' hasn't been touched yet either with its one song still in it (yay for the resilience of the 'Ghost Stories' tracks though as all 3 were #1s in my chart).
Voted for 'Hymn For The Weekend' once again. |
