It's 2 weeks on top for Fall Out Boy & guest, chased by Pet Shop Boy & guest, in an otherwise quiet chart week due to me sunning myself on Spanish Sitges beaches and not hearing much new music at all. That gives OMD a top 10 chance yet again 39 years since Messages topped my chart and 40 years since Electricity was released - that never made my chart at the time, and will be charting next week as it's out again and about time that mistake was rectified.

Mika has another top 20, Noel Gallagher gets his 3rd top 40 of the year, and highest new entry is The Beatles most popular song in the streaming era, Here Comes The Sun in at 41, 4th-time round for the Abbey Road 50th anniversary lead-track, the song first charted in 1976 for Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel as it has never been released as a single by the Beatles. The Beatles: so prolifically brilliant they can not even bother to release their most-popular track, so good they give away genuine pop hits like Goodbye and Come And Get It to other acts on their Apple label - both tracks finally get released in demo form on the 50th extended version, and chart for me. Mary Hopkin topped my chart with Goodbye in 1969, when I was mad on it and her, Badfinger in 1970 with Come And Get It going top 10.

Shakespears Sister return after a break of 25 years, and bring along Richard Hawley, a regular in these charts, and the rest are all chart debuts....
