It's only happened twice with songs that went to #1 as a direct effect of me discovering them through BJSC:
Leddra Chapman - Story (FNT Nickodonia) (12 points) Frida Gold - Wovon Sollen Wir Träumen (Espen) (12 points) Kudos to Espen judging by this thread so far! Story is without doubt the best thing I've ever discovered through the contest, it finished in my EOY top ten and Leddra's album was my #2 of 2010, great find, and it didn't even finish top ten! |

I've never even had one of my own entries at #1 as far as I can recall. Highest a foreign entry has charted based solely on BJSC is #4 for Elliphant's 'Down On Life', followed by #5 for Ólafur Arnalds' 'So Close', both this year.
However, I do have a BJSC entry that wasn't mine at #1 on my chart right now - Lorde's 'Royals' which I didn't appreciate that much at the time but love now because I'm a mainstream hoe. |
