It's not bad, basic as hell and probably won't last long for me but it's definitely better than Happy Now, Get Low, Stay and that terrible Lost In Japan remix, if not as much of a basic banger as The Middle which still absolutely slaps idc.

I love it. The first half could do with a bit more momentum, but the second half of the song is particularly eurphoric. I actually don’t think it’s that basic at all, there’s no drop and two choruses instead, it sounds more Katy than Zedd - reminds me a lot of Legendary Lovers.

For me it's her best single since Roar, I love Dark Horse, but this is better. A highlight for Zedd also. Predict big things!

This is such a lovely earworm, the way it grows is lovely and it feels like a real collaboration of the two of their capabilities. The "I think about you, all the time, 24/7, 365" bit is so melodically great. I expected something a bit more stomping but there's such a charm to this that makes me realise how much I love Katy's voice in softer moments.

I don't know why I continually forget how unbelievably excited I get for new Katy releases. I thought Witness would've dampened that but here I am with adrenaline rushing through my body, frantically typing. I love her so freaking much, she's amazing in that video and this song is such a vibe <3.

I know exactly how you feel! I remember how excited I was when Chained was first teased and I've felt exactly the same these past two(!) weeks waiting for this to be released, and it hasn't disappointed! The video is insanely good, so chilling, and actually would have fit in with the Witness era in a funny roundabout way

I really hope Katy can get a huge hit with this because she really deserves it!

Straight onto Hot Hits UK but right at the bottom, should hopefully be moved up within a week or so but signs are pointing towards a hit!

OH and it's #3 on New Music Friday, although will probably be pushed down to #4 when Cardi/Bruno is released

Yeah I was disappointed by how low but then I remembered Mabel and Swan Song weren’t added until the Monday/Tuesday after.

Hopefully an insta-add from R1 tomorrow? Scott Mills said it’s his track of the day either way.

Agree with the poster who isn’t sure on song but loves the video. Off the first two listens of the track I felt the same.

Stay and The Middle were far more instant tracks as well in my opinion but obviously Katy is far more known than the featured artists on those tracks so this may well take off quicker than those purely based off that as Katy will have more week one buys / streams / views I’d imagine. Plus UK radio will surely play new Katy Perry music even if she’s just the featured track as she’s still one of the main pop females with a large fanbase.

It doesn’t scream massive hit but can maybe see it doing about as well as Swish Swish did? Maybe the song will grow on me but it’s not very instant.

Yeah I'm... really not sold on the song. I was gonna say it's basic but I had no problem with that in terms of The Middle, it's just not grabbing me for whatever reason. I wish the song was as good as the video!

I thought this was pretty basic and bland on first listen (although not as basic as far as recent Zedd songs usually go) but it's growing on second listen. It is a bit of an earworm and I think it's the sort of thing that will work in Katy's favour whilst she's in between eras. I remember hearing it would be a while till her next album so she definitely needs some mainstream featured hits in the meantime.

I honestly can't see this being anywhere near as big as 'Stay'.

I don't think it will have a huge chart run but can see it peaking between #7-14.

I think this is gonna be a top 5 (maybe top 3), if it is I can see it helping Katy be in a better position to launch her next era.

Just glad it's not future bass trash, ultimately. Hopefully he's completely left that behind now. (although I've long accepted we're not getting anything like the old Zedd back).

Yeah I can see it doing slightly better than NBLAH in US but only because of radio loving Zedd.

Looks like it'll be the long game for this though, it's on a lot of Spotify playlists, but quite low, and airplay hasn't been as instant as I expected but I expect it'll get going soon. Praying it debuts top 50 on Spotify tomorrow, but I can see it being just outside.

Yeah it doesn’t really scream “top 5 songs of the year” like Stay/The Middle did but it’s a little too early to call and releasing earlier in the year could work in their favor. The only problem is that this is going up against Cardi and Bruno rather than The Chainsmokers and Ari.

#26 in the mids, so it's looking to debut higher than Bon Appetit or Swish Swish (Bon had much bigger support from radio and Spotify in week 1, too)

So this debuted at #37 in the UK and #86 in the US which is... not great. Obviously Katy is on a massive uphill struggle off the back of the Witness era in terms of public response but I can't help but be disappointed with those debuts

I really hope it gets a shift on soon, it's doing well on Pop radio in the US already and has just been added to Radio 2's A List here. Hoping for Radio 1 B List this Friday and moving up Hot Hits UK to help its iTunes/Spotify performances recover

I can genuinely see this missing the top 25 in the United Kingdom now, it's all a bit quiet and it's lost any hype it originally had. I think US airplay will help it become a top 50 hit in USA but I can't really see it doing anything after that.

I don’t think things look great, but if you look at how Think About Us has done, this could easily have a second wind with better Spotify support and airplay.

I do also feel that the hype for this has winded down and even the awesome music video which did have quite a lot of hype, but didnt really it all that much chart-wise (only scrape the UK top 40) and has fallen massively, I do hope that it can recover, but can't see this being a smash hit. Plus don't think this has reached the general public just yet, and nobody I know who follow the charts even know this yet.

The only thing that’s really letting it down is lack of promo. I’m not sure if they mentioned anything when they presented at the iHeartRadio Music Awards but still. Auditions for Idol are over and we’re not getting live results until another few weeks. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR?
