Soon she finds herself in a perilous situation concerning privacy, surveillance, and freedom. Mae comes to learn that her decisions and actions will determine the future of humanity.

Already released in the US but it has just been revealed it will be coming exclusively to Netflix in the UK on 30th June!!! Only holds 15% on Rotten Tomatoes and it underperformed at the US so I understand the move. REALLY excited that I get a chance to see it so soon (wouldn't have seen it in the cinema) as the idea is really interesting and there is a fanatastic cast. Shame about the critic's opinion but hopefully there will be some enjoyment to gain from it.

Watched this yesterday which makes it the first 2017 film I've actually watched, oops!

It was alright, nothing too special. I love films/TV that explore things like this and this was another interesting way of doing that. I think they could have maybe done a bit more with it as I was expecting maybe a few more problems resulting from her/the company's actions (obviously the climax is a horrible result though!)..

I liked the way they did the transparency thing and how the comments regularly popped up on screen and they really reflected what I imagine people would be saying, including many criticisms! I was a bit uneasy about the resolution though I liked how she forced the bosses to go transparent but EVERYONE going transparent is just something I'm not comfortable with!.

Of course the cast was good, and it was nice to see the Boyhood guy in another film! I think John Boyega was underused, his character didn't really result to much.

It was good but it certainly wasn't a standout and not something people should rush to watch! I think something like Black Mirror's Nosedive handled the danger of say social media/dependence on all-encompassing technology better, as well as various other episodes of that show.

I also finally got around to watching this and thought it was decent but could have done with being a bit more subtle. I found all the gadgets and technology really interesting, the Circle campus was fun to explore, the visuals were gorgeous, I enjoyed reading the life-like comments on-screen and characters were engaging (I thought Hanks was especially great, had me hanging on his every word - much like someone like Steve Jobs!) but it just felt a bit predictable and scenes like the parent bedroom scene and bridge death one just felt soooo on the nose with such little subtlety in trying to get the message of the film across :') I would recommend it as it explores some interesting themes but it could have been handled a bit better to be honest (plus, I don't feel all that comfortable with the ending as Klaus says)...

On a side note as Klaus reminded me, I really must get around to watch Black Mirror, it does look great *-*
