What do you think is the best first song opening an iconic pop album?
This isn’t even my favorite pop album (it’s in my top 5 for sure though), but MARRY THE NIGHT, from Born This Way.

Kylie Minogues Aphrodite opens with the classic All The Lovers.
This is one of my all time favourite songs and not just from Kylie.

Totally, its very cohesive throughout.
The album may have suffered for not having big stand out singles (All The Lovers excluded) but when played in its entirety its solid pop throughout.

Baby One More Time [Baby One More Time]: Those three chords. *.*
Madhouse [Rated R]: So wacky and set the tone of the album perfectly.
raindrops (an angel cried) [sweetener]: such a beautiful intro. If only it had led into the video version of no tears left to cry instead of blazin 😩

OMG I agree on sweetener.
It’s still my fave Ariana album but the tracklisting is bizarre!
Blazed should’ve been in the middle of the album like between sweetener and successful.
no tears should’ve followed raindrops in opening the album with the video version.

Christina Aguilera is the queen of intros tbh
Not all of them are proper tracks but they all work perfectly in opening the album. (Well Lotus is the only one below an 8)
Stripped Intro and Back to Basics are the best examples
