She's been teasing the second single (or at least some sort of new material anyway) on Twitter recently so hopefully it's not far off. Bodak Yellow is genuinely one of my favourite singles of the year and her features have been the highlight of those songs too so I'm very excited for more solo material. One of the most exciting upcoming stars in my opinion

After the huge success of 'Bodak Yellow', she is planning to drop her new single soon.

It sounds a mess to me, and almost novelty. Not the direction she should be going in. The title is embarrassing too.

Out this Friday and it features 21 Savage.

I'm not sure if the title is "Bartier Cardi" or "Bartier Bardi" though. I think it's the former because this is the title written in the artwork, but she wrote the latter on Instagram.

i will say that the studio version sounds MUCH better than the live preview, maybe because there wasn't that one hype guy screaming over the track?

'Bodak Yellow' underperformed in the UK so I doubt this'll do anything when it is released. not that I want to hear it either, it's nearly guaranteed to be shit

'Bodak Yellow' is a MASSIVELY well known song among the people I know in terms of friendship group and work colleagues. I don't like it myself, but its cultural impact is undeniable.

Very true. This is sometimes overlooked by chart fans when assessing the popularity of urban music. Another example of this (in the UK at least) is something like 'Addison Lee' - not a huge chart hit but undeniably culturally massive.

This is another fun song but I think it's a little bit too repetitive and might tire on me quickly, probably my least favourite Cardi B hit thus far.

It's gonna be super awkward if/when Cardi B and Offset split up, with her lyrics on both this and 'MotorSport'

Anyway, I feel like this year she’ll edge close to pop, just like Nicki Minaj did. I think she’ll have a huge smash soon.

Cardi is literally going nowhere (except #1). I reckon there's a few pop jams on the album as anyone whose listened to her mixtapes know she's quite experimental with her sound anyway...
