Welcome to Battle of the Canadians - the first artist crossover event in the Shawn Mendes forum!

We've handpicked four of the biggest names in music, hailing from Canada like Shawn, to feature in a number of battle rounds to determine who the best of the lot is! Similar to Battle of the Boybands in the One Direction forum, there will be a series of polls where Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Avril Lavigne and Drake will battle for your affections. Only one artist can win each round, and an overall winner will be crowned at the end of the event based on how many polls they've won!

For Round Six, we're putting the focus on the singles that closed campaigns for each of our artists - not necessarily from any particular or chronologically ordered album, but some of the most iconic songs that ended an era for them, and on a high (in some cases more-so than others maybe).

Simply vote for your favourite song of the five in the poll above! YouTube embeds available in the second post if you need to refresh your memory!

Round Six results:

01 There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back (Shawn Mendes) | 6 votes; 50.00%
02 The Best Damn Thing (Avril Lavigne) | 3 votes; 25.00%
03 Company (Justin Bieber) | 2 votes; 16.67%
04 Tonight I'm Getting Over You (Carly Rae Jepsen) | 1 vote; 8.33%
05 Too Good (Drake) | 0 votes; 0.00%

Shawn picks up the trophy this time as we find out what your favourite campaign closer is - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back racked up six votes, while the other four artists only managed that between all of them! Avril finished in second with 3 votes for The Best Damn Thing while Justin picked up two votes for Company and Carly managed to get a single vote for Tonight I'm Getting Over You. Drake, meanwhile, didn't get any votes for his song Too Good. A very worthy winner *.*

Round Seven coming imminently ~
