Not exactly standard pop forum fare I know but this lady has a KNACK of bringing it big time with her lead singles. Slow was beautiful, and a surprise top 20 hit in 2010, the floppy P.F. Sloan in 2012 was the best 70s US cop drama theme tune there never was and now it's time for Dangerous, the first single from third album Into Colour, which is due out next month. It's disco *.* Dangerously catchy indeed, incredibly instant and absolutely sublime, it's like Karen Carpenter singing a lost Candi Staton classic.
It's not as good as P.F. Sloan, but it really is quite lovely. I'm always up for some disco strings (even in LOUNGE FORM).
Really like this. That's my kind of female voice, a natural tone not forced in any way.
