Surely it's more important to like the music rather than worry about chart success? Tove Lo doesn't achieve big chart success anymore (her collaboration with Jax Jones only made the Top 75), the Sigala track was never a single (maybe it could have been a minor hit if it was but probably nothing more) and The Vaccines collab was merely for a soundtrack. If you want to think of it from a marketing point of view, then these little collaborations do keep Kylie's name out there in between projects.
I'd also rather she collaborated with someone organically. I have no desire to hear "Jonas Blue feat. Kylie" or "Sam Feldt feat. Kylie". |
