overall album sales then?
Not sure Char1sma. Think he was at about 38 million albums before Intensive Care and it has sold nearly 6 million.
Scotty will probably know the exact figures.
Yep you are right Jupiter. He is probebly approching 45 million cause the Greatest hits has also sold well since IC's release
Just think what it would be if he was big in the US. It's such a high number for outside the US
I have just updated every song and album with their sales expept Radio cause i can't find the sales anymore They used to be on CC but they seem to have dissapeared.
thanks for posting it!
Updated
The Greatest Hits has now passed 2 million in the UK
That's 6 albums that have sold more than 2 million in the UK
Well done Robbie
wow 2 mill thats alot great effort robbie
Hmm according to the BIP, I've Been Expecting you has sold 3 million in the UK now. (10X Platinum)
Well done Rob.
Did any or Robbies albums never go diamond??? (10,000,000)
Thats because he is the greatest!! But...
Someone told me that you have to sell ten mill in your own country
or district to go diamond, because they said, kelly clarkson sold ten
mill on her first album, but because they werent strictly US sales,
she didnt get the diamond certificate? I think thats stupid, if you sell
ten mill you sell ten mill!
I agree he IS the greatest
Updated with sales from various other countries. Not sure if alot of them are right though as they were posted up on Ukmix early 2005. So alot of them will be higher. Canada and US sales are right though. I'd imagine he's sold about 1.2 million albums in the US and Canada.
ohhh thanks for the info stevyy...btw welcome to the forum, hope to see you posting alot more around here
Not as many as Daniel O'Donnell though.
He is a legend.
Daniel Who !!!!!!!!!!!! - dont know the lass
robbies sales are just amazing, he also not only is the Uk's biggest selling album act of the past 10 years he also is the biggest selling album act in germany for the last 10 years (only since sing when you're winning in 200 his albums sell well here). He has sold over 5.5 million albums in germany alone.
I found this on ukmix. It is a list of acts who have sold the most amount of albums so far this decade since 2000, based only on sales of albums released since 2000.
Robbie is the 3rd best seller He has sold more than anyone else outside the US this century.

9. Linkin Park: 29m
10. Nelly: 29m
God - He is higher that the Beatles & Madonna & he isn't recognised in the USA - I bet the crappy tabloids wont print that.
How ' lovely ' - ' jovely '
the list above is just sales for albums released this decade (from 2000).. so i guess that also his previous albums sold quite well this decade and that he has at least sold 40.000.000 albums just in this decade.. he probably could overtake britney when he releases new albums over the next years cause britneys career obviously is over.. and consider out of the 65 million for eminem the half of that are US sales..
Here is what Music Week said this week:
btw Josh, when are you going to have that Robbie siggy. That Justin one looks hidious.
Good god!
Am I seeing things - or has Robbies Greates Hits gone from 156 to 56 this week.
That is some jump
Maybe WH Smith were selling the GH for ÂŁ1.99 or something?
No It's funny really, but I noticed a couple of weeks ago on Itunes that GH was in the top 10 in about 5 Countries - must have been something to do with Xmas.
It's so disappointing with Rudebox - I dont care what anyone says its a great Album but unfortunately without Robbie there to personally promote it, it didnt happen for it.
I hope that its unexpected realease has not made a bags of it for his future album releases.
That Rav person in the News of the Screws called Rudebox 'an absolute stinker of an album' in his article about Robbie's new g/f. And I bet he hasn't even heard it.
But comments like that are damaging.
It's weird but I had a real Baaaaaaaaaaaaaad feeling when Ian Hyland gave Lovelight 5 * I think before Xmas - that's bloody bad luck as far as I am concerned.
I am sure that Robbie will come back with something completely new again & more than likely shock everyone again. Financially anyway he is not under pressure like many new acts out there & can really not worry too much anymore about getting number 1's. ( Pride maybe ) !!!!!
Anyway at the moment its just Robbie bashing time & probably will continue until after the Brits.
BTW - The voting closes next Friday on this - so busy fingers all week - .
He needs to win this to shut them up .
I wonder will he actually go to the awards - I saw today where TT are one on the live acts. Im' sure it will be unusual for Robbie to be sitting in the audience just watching them - but then again it may be a good thing & they can just all move on with their own careers.
I have a feeling he will show up. He did say the other day that it will be nice to show up and not have to keep going up and down collecting awards.
btw, I have spent ages on the Official site this evening and found out Angels has sold 1.5m worldwide.
You know I really like that U2 track ' Window in the Sky ' & also the video.
You dont hear anyone criticising U2 too much ( and they dont have too many number 1's either anymore , then again maybe I have just got too sensitive when it comes to the Robster.
Well U2 are the biggest band in the world and have been for over 20 years. Their last album sold almost 10m worldwide and gave them two UK #1 singles.
Windows in the skies and the Saints are coming both got to #1 in a few countries around the world as well.
I love the song as well, thought it was boring at first but it reallt grew on me and the vid is fantasic.
its always the homecountries of artists who are bashing them the most..
whiel rob is really loved everyhwere in europe, he gets critizised in UK without a point.. his album is said to be the worst ever released.. i mean rob is a british superhero, why are they doing that to him? It's the same for other artists. I think robs career is not yet past its heights. I think his best and most successful album has not yet come.
It's a peculiarly British thing. It's called the 'Tall Poppy Syndrome'.
Its ' the House at The Top of The Hill ' Syndrome - with Green Eyed Monster living in it.
So Rudebox had shipped/sold at least 2.8M at the end of 2006 and was'nt even released in the US. That's nearly 3M in a little over 2 months. Pretty amazing for an album that got no promotion and his totally different from his usual material
Nearly 3M sold now
Bet that wont be mentioned too much in the newspaper colum inches
Fantastic news though
Brilliant news, its just a shame that the UK press jumped on the Sun bandwagon and lambasted it.
I've added DVD sales and Info
I reckon they fancy him like mad and he gave them a knock back.
Well I certainly that he is fussier than that - Yuk - those two revolting C**S at the Mirror - no way
Greatest Hits album moved up 4 places to #52
What has happened to my bloody favourite ' RUDEBOX '
Right - ' Thanks '
It has plummeted without trace I think.
The funny thing is according to Media Traffic it sold 38k & TT were not on the list as they were outside the top 40 - so it still seems to be selling in Europe even if it is in small amounts.
Maybe I am not reading those figures correctly.
yeah rudebox still sells.. cause he charts or charted nearly everywhere in europe/australia/south america.
I wonder if the release of She's Madonna will give it any kind of sales boost at all?
He's got an indoor football pitch to build. I think that's his priority at the moment.
I think as far as ' Rudebox ' is concerned it's done & dusted & on to the next thing. Mr RW is not known for sitting on his laurels .
With the attitude towards Rob at the moment, I don't think any promotion he'd do would help Rudebox at this point and instead just be seen as a desperate attempt at resuscitating something that was dead on arrival in many people's eyes. I just think he should leave it be and move on which as Tessa says that's what Rob does and I hope he does it here. If Lovelight didn't do anything, I can't see She's Madonna, especially paired with the video, making any dents whatsoever.
I tend to agree. I think the album is dead as a dodo. In the UK anyway. The press is so against him at the mo.
Well, obviousy SM will make some sort of a difference once it' starts getting played on the tv. It may not be a big difference but it still needs releasing. Perhaps he should consider performing at the Echo Awards in Germany
Maybe he should go on Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes or something. He could be Judy Garland.
The Greatest Hits dropps to #75 this week. Guess whatever sales was on is over
Rudbox Worldwide Sales: Nearly 3 Million
The sales are too high to be true. There's no way Rudbox sales are almost 3 mil. I'd be suprised if its even 2 mil, not to say about 3mil.
it did go to No.1 in fourteen countries locott.
Unfortunately we never read stuff like that in the lousy UK press. Rudebox has also picked up 3 plantinum awards in Germany and 2 in Australia and I am sure it has picked up awards in other countries too.
Not Robbie's biggest seller, and approx 3 million is still quite low for Robbie. I hope it will be one of those albums that sells slowly through time and then suddenly takes off again for whatever reason.
Btw, if you include all sales of Rob's albums, singles + dvd's then you get almost 70M. If he include TT sales from when he was in the band, between 25-30M. So nearly 100m

Unfortunately None of his Singles have been certified yet, except Feel.
In a career length of 11 Years (1996-2007) as a solo artists, Robbie Williams sold:
albums: 6.300.000
singles: 2.105.000 in germany
Just behind Michael Jackson (who sold approx. 8.850m albums) Robbie Williams is the most successful male solo artist on the german charts ever.
Wow, this is brilliant info Steveyy. I have always wanted to know his singles sales in Germany
Where did you get them? on the German IFPI site only two of his singles are certified which is annoying. It's great to have all his sales though. 7.6m singles between The UK and Germany alone so he must've sold more than 15m singls in total. Somewhere between 15-20m definatly
Hey Stevvy, I was wondering how much Swing sold in Germany. On the IFPI.DE site it was awarded 4x platinum in 2002. I have read on ukmix that before the very end of 2002, platinum was 300,000 and Gold was 150,000, so that would mean that it had shipped 1.2m as of 5 years ago? Seems a bit too high, but that is what it seems.
Found this on UKMIX. Very interesting stuff. Rob has sold near 41 MILLION albums in Europe in the last 10 years
Robbie Williams - Life Thru A Lens : 3,3m
Robbie Williams - I've Been Expecting You : 4,5m
Robbie Williams - Sing When You're Winning : 4,6m
Robbie Williams - Swing When You're Winning : 5,8m
Robbie Williams - Escapology : 6,2m
Robbie Williams - Live Summer 2003 : 2,8m
Robbie Williams - Greatest Hits : 5,7m
Robbie Williams - Intensive Care : 5,2m
Robbie Williams - Rudebox : 2,7m
Total : 40,800,000
Is he over 50 million worldwide do you think?
this is so amazing. Hopefully ppl realise how great and talented he is and will buy his next album again (especially in UK, France and Australia, where rudebox did extremely worse for his standards).
It certainly is
And if you add in the copies of the Ego Has Landed that were shipped to the UK, then he could be past 41m now. There were quite a few shipped over I think, especially in Tower Records. I always see loads of them despite it only being released in the American and Oceana
Some good news about IC. It re-entered the chart at #169 two weeks ago, and has climbed to #120 this week. Another album on it's way to 2m, hopefully one day it will. No-one in music history has had as many 2m+ selling albums, he has 6 of them, so it will hopefully be 7 one day.
Also the Greatest Hits re-entered at #155. Still selling well,
Thanks to Holly at trws and Haven
oh thats awesome news
I could not believe it either....how many has IC sold world wide...it's a great album though & Stephen Duffy must be thrilled.....
It's also amazing how GH just keeps selling & selling.......
Does anyone speak German on this site....if so could the article in the following link be roughly translated ( the general gist of the story )......It was done last year by Guy in Germany & Rob is mentioned several times.
http://www.theisisproject.co.uk/press/pdf/Suddeutsche_Zeitung.pdf
If it's too much work...don't bother....................
51 million. Not bad.
Im guessing that by the end of his career he'll reach somewhere along the lines of 75-80 million.
What you saying you two end of his career..nope never.

UK music hits high note in Europe
13:8:2007
BPI
- Global success for homegrown talent, as UK acts claim one in five artist album sales in Germany and one in ten in France
- Share of Anglo-American music market in Germany increases for third straight year
- UK record industry sells 27 million albums in Germany and France in 2006
New figures released today by UK recorded music industry association the BPI show that the UK's share of the German and French recorded music markets hit a four-year high in 2006.
Germany and France are the world's fourth and fifth largest markets for recorded music, together accounting for 13% of world sales. Global hit albums from James Blunt, Katie Melua and Robbie Williams helped boost the UK's share of these markets to 19.9% and 10.7% respectively - the highest in each market for four years.
Germany
The UK's share of the German albums market increased by more than five percentage points on 2005 to 19.9%, and with 21.2 million album sales the UK's share of the Anglo-American market grew for a third consecutive year.
The figures, supplied by Media Control GfK International, show that the UK claimed a 44.8% share of the Anglo-American market - an increase on 2005's tally of 44.4% and 2004's tally of 37.2%.
UK artists with well-established German fanbases achieved particularly strong sales with Coldplay and Depeche Mode also among the year's best sellers, but debuts from Corinne Bailey Rae and James Morrison also featured in the German top 100.
Katie Melua’s second album Piece By Piece was the best selling UK album of the year and the second best selling record in Germany overall.
In total, twenty three of the top-100 albums were by UK artists, who also claimed a 20.3% share of total German airplay audience according to figures from Nielsen Music Control.
France
The UK's share of the French market increased for a second successive year, claiming 10.7% of the market, according to BPI analysis of the top-selling 250 albums. More than one in ten albums sold in France are now by UK acts, a strong proportion in what is Europe's second strongest market for domestic repertoire after Russia.
James Blunt's global hit Back to Bedlam was the biggest selling UK title in 2006, but Robbie Williams remains one of France's most popular artists with three titles in the UK artists’ top 20. UK artists also claimed a 12.4% share of the total airplay audience in 2006
As UK artists account for more than half of all albums sold in the UK, and one in 12 albums sold in the US - the largest market for recorded music in the world with one third of all sales - UK music continues to perform well in a challenging retail environment and in international markets increasingly dominated by domestic repertoire.
"Music is one of the UK's great cultural and economic exports" said BPI Chief Executive Geoff Taylor. "The fact that UK labels are gaining an increasing share of these major international markets demonstrates the diversity and quality of new British artists.
"But this creative success is threatened by the pervasive culture of freeloading online. If UK labels are to keep competing successfully on a world stage, they need government support in educating consumers that true music fans download legally. Only if there is a fair business environment that supports investment will our talent enjoy the opportunities it deserves and the potential of the UK's creative economy be realised."

173. (164) RUDEBOX (Robbie Williams)
TRWS
I have updated the first page of this thread to make it look more impressive, and included full chart runs, , known chart positions of each single is various countries, estimates for worldwide sales of each single and album, and a list of Robbie's achievments
The global singles sales are only estimates, some may be alot higher, and some may be too high (like Feel's 4m, but since loads of articles have said it has sold 4m then I will agree)
Great going Scotty, I love number crunching.
As do I Susie
Rob has definatly sold over 70 million records now. I always wonder why the official site don't have a Biography on it, I mean surely that would be one of the first things they should've added.
Hey does anyone at all know this....Mr M or Osiris or someone!?!
At my Daughtry forum girls were talking about how Daughtry is
now touring with Bon Jovi but that others dont like it!
ONe girl says that she thought it was fantastic since Bon Jovi
was the hottest ticket in 2006 and out sold every concert!!
So i was thinking....I dont think so!!! Wasnt the hottest ticket
to me in 2006!!!
Does anyone know if Rob made more then BJ in 2006???????
From what I know Bon Jovi's Have A Nice Day Tour was actually spanned over 2005/06 and he played infront of just over 2 million people, and the tour grossed a total of $131 million.
But Robbie's Close Encounters Tour only spanned from April to December 2006 and in total he played to over 3.5 million people, grossing over $340 million. Also he broke the record for ticket sales, selling 1.6 million tickets in one day.
So I think its safe to say that Robbie's tour was indeed bigger than Bon Jovi's
I knew it!!
And Jon says Rob couldn't fill up a bar!!
And he's about a foot taller
Updated
Let's hope the new album takes him to at least 57m by the end of the year and 60m by this time next year when other sales are added in, as the GH is still selling very well
He seems to have been stuck at 55 million for about the last 5 years. Hasn't he sold a single CD in all that time?
You are mistaken Jups He was on 38m before IC was released 4 years ago, so 17m + in the past 4 years. The GH sells very well
Well I think somebody just makes up those figures.
Here is Rob's final figures as the best selling artist of the past decade
Published in the latest Music Week from the chart forum:
Best-selling artists of The Noughties Albums - UK
01 ROBBIE WILLIAMS 13,065,783
Best-selling artists of the Noughties Singles - UK
12 ROBBIE WILLIAMS
"Reality Killed the Video Star" went No. 6 in Mexico, not No. 1 - it has so far been certified Gold (40,000) and "Intensive Care" sold over 175,000 physicals but over 1 million in digital formats, it was pre-loaded to a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and it was certified 3xGold in Physicals and 2xDiamond in Digital so that'd be like 1.2 million in total
it's 1.2 million in Mexico alone, but i think they only counted the 200,000 physicals, not the 2xDiamond of digital
it isn't digital sales as such, it's the album pre-loaded to a mobile phone on *.mp3 format along with some music videos and stuff, EMI and Robbie still got royalties from every sale so they are legitimate sales that's why EMI certified the album 2xDiamond as digital and Platinum & Gold as physical
so yeah, that's pretty much 1.2 million in Mexico alone
you can check the AMPROFON site, i would post the direct link but it doesn't let me post links until i post 5 times! LOL
Any updated figures?
So this is the most up to date list of Robbie's UK sales I can collate:
Life Thru A Lens 2,085,136*
I've Been Expecting You 2,568,075*
Sing When You're Winning 2,192,562*
Swing When You're Winning 2,266,752*
Escapology 2,054,982*
Live At Knebworth 621,759*
Greatest Hits 2,239,764*
Intensive Care 1,614,036*
Rudebox 511,736*
Reality KTVS 1,000,000** (+/-20,000)
In and Out of Consciousness 624,800**
*sales from Feb 10
**sales from July 11
To get a total I have therefore added these figures plus an additional conservative estimate of 50,000 sales of back catalogue since Feb 10
This gives total UK sales of 17,829,602
I would say this is probably correct to within 100k?
The Reality Killed the Video Star total is far too generous, it will be much closer to 900k and definitely not over 1m
Robbie sold 753000 of RKTVS in 2009, and 265990 of his album sales in 2010 WEREN'T from IAOOC.
If you assume all those sales were for RKTVS, it would bring it's total to 1018990.
Obviously a small few of the sales will actually have been for other back catalogue albums, but even so, it would suggest RKTVS is now sitting right on 1 million sales
http://www.ukairplaychart.com/
I haven't heard Candy once on the radio
Both of the above got tons of airplay though. Maybe they want radio play more than worthy, good songs...
It hasn't been A, B or C listed on Radio 1 or 2 on the week of release which is not good but obviously getting lots of plays elsewhere to get to #11. Bodies was A Listed straight away on Radio 1. 3 years on is Rob now 'too old' for R1?
I had hoped now he has left EMI and gone to Universal - we wouldn't have to tolerate incompatence with regard to releases - but I fail to see how it makes any sense to release a song to radio SEVEN weeks before it's released. It is an insanely stupid idea. It should've been released on radio 2 weeks before the release date - followed by loads of promo and there would be a strong chance of his 7th #1. Strike while the iron is hot etc.. I remember complaining about Bodies being premiered a month before it's release being too early - this is 3 weeks longer.
Maroon 5's Move Like Jagger hits the airwaves so fast you would not believe it , Robbie is living in another planet when it comes to promoting himself, he gets it spot on is his live performances because that is what he is good at , by what he says it would seem that he leaves the decisions on singles etc to his management & the music label & tbh I am beginning to wonder if his management are living in the past & are still thinking of the Rock DJ days, give Robbie the right material & he can do it . It's all a bit sad in my opinion & now I am worried about the album
Angels

1.100.000 copies in UK - is Number 83 in UK history
Hey guys, there is noted to this thread Rob's sales are:
Over 59m Albums /19.1m Singles
Albums sales are clear, well, maybe 60m now, OK.
But what about singles? As you remember he has 7.700.000 sales in UK only.
I'm not sure he has more than 11,5m sales in other countries. 7/8m seems more correct.
And are there his sales in Take That? 4 albums + 2 compilations (can we calculate them too if he wasn't in band in this period?) + singles...
Ok folks, from the most recent OCC info, we have exact totals for a grand total of 2 of Robbie's 12 albums. However, we do know the exact total of his total album sales.
Therefore, I have taken all the most recent album sales information, and increased them in line with general itunes popularity, to provide (hopefully fairly accurate) estimates of his current individual album sales. The main question mark ironically is RKTVS, as, despite being his most recent studio album before TTC, it is also has the longest period of time without exact sales info. Here we go:
Life Thru A Lens...................2,091,896
I've Been Expecting You ......2,579,000
Sing When You're Winning ..2,201,000
Swing When You're Winning 2,279,000
Escapology.........................2,065,000
Live At Knebworth...................624,000
Greatest Hits ......................2,249,000
Intensive Care .....................1,621,000
Rudebox ...............................516,000
Reality Killed The Video Star 1,002,000
In & Out of Consciousness ......672,650
Take the Crown ........................83,508
Total: 17,984,054
didn´t Reality chart again last week? back in the day when an artist as huge as him had a new album out, the last one re entered the chart...that was a good way to now the sales. Anyways, I hope it has sold a million already, it was, it is, a good album
Any information on Robbies album outside the UK and Ireland?
Looks like he entered at no9 in Greece last week ( )
Greek charts have always been a joke though.
83,508 is a bit awful really I thought they'd missed a '1' out from the beginning
Those are disastrous figures for RW. Now he is obliged to join Take That again . Who would have thought that 6 years ago when TT reformed......now Gary Barlow/TT are so much more popular and successful than RW.....
.
Oh well, on the plus side. We should all have a better chance of getting tour tickets
well, 85.000 is way less than I expected, but in the next 5-6 weeks he will sale a lot.I bet his number 5 position this week has been with good sales...by the way, is he performing on any tv show before christmas?
Robbie Williams 34,692 (118,200) in his second week, and total
Shocking numbers.... . Who would have thought that the album would flop so badly.......?
@checkers, I presume your username is 'selke' on Ukmix? Because you post word for word the exact same negative messages on there. Stop being so melodramatic.
How do you think guys, if there a chance to return to Top-5 next week? (#10 mids)
A lot of strong releases are coming but if O2 concerts will be huge then...who knows.
26th Nov
Alicia Keys – Girl On Fire
The Bryan Ferry Orchestra – The Jazz Age
Cerys Matthews – Baby Its Cold Outside
Coldplay – 4CD Catalog Set (4CD)
Elvis Costello – In Motion Pictures
Girls Aloud - Ten
Il Divo – The Greatest Hits
Jeff Wayne - The War Of The Worlds: The New Generation
Katherine Jenkins – This Is Christmas
Kelly Clarkson – Greatest Hits: Chapter 1
Martin Rossiter – The Defenstration Of St Martin
McFly - Memory Lane: The Very Best Of
Michael Crawford - The Ultimate Collection
Neil Diamond – The Very Best Of
Olly Murs - Right Place Right Time
Tulisa – The Female Boss
I think TTC will saty in the top 5 until christmas, and it will ahve sold 500.000 this year
I think that's a tad optimistic but you never know. And I don't expect the O2 viewing figures to be anything to write home about. It's on Sky. Not the BBC or ITV.
Yip. It certainly seems Candy was bought by non-Robbie fans.
number 10 in its third week, the total is 147.5k copies sold
Aye and I bet 500,000 tickets for his concerts will disappear in minutes. All these 'Robbie Fans' who don't buy his music????
6-Robbie Williams 43,165
I guess the total is around 191.000
Poor
number 8 this week, I´m sure sales must be higher than last week´s, but who knows!
And by the way following the most random chart run (9-12-9) TTC is the no1 album in Greece (week 25/11-01/12).
http://www.cyta.gr/el/IFPI
every no1 counts
Album sales are sooooooo low these days
Yay for Greece though
Well, third Xmas single for Robbie:
1. Somethin' Stupid (2001)
2. Do They Know It's Christmas (2004)
3. He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother (2012)
But too shame for Different (#64). That's much better song than Candy but all honors go to first single.
90.000 copies this week:total of 400.000?
408.000
I was expecting a '1' in front of the 4....
Not bad !!! ...it's diabolical
Should close the year with half a million sales... hopefully will stay in the top 20 for much longer than RKTVS so that it can match at least a million units sold.
1 million....I'm not sure.
800k is reality for TTC, not more.
#7 TTC
#7 Candy
Mids UK
p.s. But Robbie has 1 mil selling records of 2012 in UK: Candy and Take The Crown have sold approx. 500k both (incl.this week).
anyways, I hope it reaches the million as the other ones before!
445.000 copies sold during 2012
How many copies did the top selling 2012 album sell? And what was it? Not bloomin' Emile Sande surely?
I believe it was indeed Emile Sande. Honest to God, if it's not her selling bucketloads, it's Adele. Where have all these fans of dreary music come from???? No wonder the number of anti-depressant prescriptions is rocketing
I loved Sande's debut album. It was definitely a highlight of 2012... (and yes indeed it was Emeli)
Emile sold well over a million I believe. Sales of the album would have been much higher if only she'd bothered to promote it
*snorts*
It is interesting that despite Candy being a huge seller and shifting over half a million it didn't make the top 20 best sellers of the year, yet the album was the 13th best seller of 2012 despite it's sales being disappointing. Goes to show how low albums are these days.
Yeah. It's bizarre isn't it?
Nowadays all the money is made in touring and merchandising. The actual 'records' are just a sideline as far as revenue goes.
480.800 copies sold...
Underwhelming, non?
yes
There's a new MP version of TTC coming out on March 5th on Amazon with four videos , one being of over mins long of Robbie & Aydas wedding , he just makes me laugh
Please tell me you're kidding?
One new fact:
Before Candy Robbie was 11th solo male artist in singles sales historical UK chart - 7.6M selling copies. George Michael was 10th and had 7.9M.
After Candy Robbie has overtaken George and has 8.2M.
Look at the common list (dated on August, 2012 excl.RW sales):
1.The Beatles
2. Elvis Presley (21.7 M)
3. Cliff Richard (21.5 M)
4. Madonna (17.8 M)
5. Michael Jackson (15.5 M)
6. Elton John (15 M)
7. Queen
8. Abba
9. Rihanna (11.4 M)
10. David Bowie (10.7 M)
11. Paul McCartney (10.3 M)
12. Kylie Minogue (10.2 M)
13. Rolling Stones (10 M)
14. Rod Stewart (9.9 M)
15. Take That
16. Stevie Wonder (9.1 M)
17. Oasis (9 млн)
18. Eminem (8.9 M)
19. Whitney Houston (8.5 M)
20. Robbie Williams (8.2 M)
21. Spice Girls (8 M)
21. George Michael (7.9 M)
Surprised Oasis are so high. Always figured they were more of an album band.
1.2M by the end of 2012 so approx 1.3M by now? And we can wait for another 300k from Tour?
In my opinion 1.6M would be good result for sales only (almost) in Europe.
If he'd made promo in OZ and Latin then TTC could catch 2.0M but not this time because of new Swing album.
A couple of more up to date estimations- IAOOC should have crossed the 700k mark last month whilst TTC passed the 500k mark!
http://kworb.net/itunes/artist/robbiewilliams.html
Angels is #307 in Mongolia! Yay!
And I've found his Mongolian fan! Here she is!
These boys prefer One Direction though
Great news from UK again
http://www.musicweek.com/news/read/midweek-charts-update-lily-allen-overtakes-bastille-and-barlow/056835
Some new totals from my thread (to the end of 2013)
SBW- 626,465
IAOOC- GH- 714,500
TTC-515,400
Can't believe SBW has already sold more than TTC.
I despair
Well, no wonder.
The GBP have no taste.
Top 10 this week...thanks to Buzzjack

Anyone know his worldwide sales of TTC onwards? And wonder how many he sold of Under the Radar vol 1?
Heard Millennium on the bus yesterday , La La La La La Laaaa, La La La La La Laaaa, Millenniium that song
Thanks Better Man. Hasn't sold very well since released. It says on Wiki by the end of 2012 it had sold 1.2m.
It also says Swings Both Ways as of June 2014 has sold 1.6m W/W
I thout of that either the last weeks and I tink sales around a million wouldbe very good as Rob cannot reley on streams, 500,000 will be likely and 1,5 m wuld be more thn great. But BM,you now best :-)....
Good question, ladies
Actually I almost haven't thoughts about sales this time. It's too different period is sales range even comparing to last year.
WW sales depends on his campaign. If he is going to South America and to USA (check the Sony's CEO interview) markets and will do it great it helps to the album a lot.
Agree that 1M WW sales would be fine for campaign.
UK sales...well, 250-300k by Jan-1 2017 would be fantastic for Rob, but more likely 150k is maximum.
)
Anyway we all know he needs at least one BIG single at the album. If there will be two big songs than he will take the crown and sales longevity =)
UPDATE:
I'm sure he and Sony will be aiming for Number 1 Album, that's the first priority for the campaign.
The second task is good sales and success of the first single in UK and Europe at least.
Third task is longevity (don't say about great sales).
Fourth task is success on one the new/re-new markets (in radio charts): Western Europe/Asia/USA/S.America
Fifth task is stadium tour in UK and Germany at least.
If Robbie's album will reach all of these tasks we can call this campaign as very successful.
I think that's a very important album for Robbie.
I'm sure he and Sony will make all the best for getting success. I think we will get a few interesting collaborations in near future (not at the album) for rising of his status.

The legend @RobbieWilliams has gone straight in at number 6 on the @BigTop40 with 'Love My Life' well done Rob 👏🏽
I know this is "only" on iTunes and doesn't include streaming but let's take it while we can.
Album is still five on iTunes too
After reissue Greatest Hits sales in UK are very close to the following 'best of' albums:
Robbie - 2.341M
Michael Jackson (Number Ones) - 2.35M (on July 2016)
Take That (Never Forget) - 2.36M (on July 2016)
I think in 2 weeks he will catch MJ and maybe then overtake TT as well but until the new TT release.
In a long-long-run it's also possible to overtake George Michael (2.48M) but no chance to catch ABBA, in my opinion. And that's fine: ABBA, Queen, The Beatles, Bob Marley should be stay in another league,
Anyway historical Best Of Top-10 is coming for Rob.

7 Leonard Cohen [You Want It Darker] 21,633
8 Michael Bublé 17,769
9 James Arthur 15,458
10 Michael Bublé [Christmas] 15,076
Seemed pretty good to me.
Well done to Olly
Better Man?
I see everywhere now they're quoting RW global album sales as 70m. Does that sound correct to you?
I know he was stuck on 63m for ages back in the RKTVS days and we've had three albums since then. Could he have sold an additional seven million world wide?
Fab if he has.
Love My life back up to 4 on iTunes
Love My Life is 16 in the charts overall in the mid weeks and five on ITunes so he's done really well with this single. His hard work has paid off.
Album should reach 300K this week too.
Not bad at all

#BRITs Icon Winner @robbiewilliams' 'Greatest Hits' has just gone 8x Platinum in the UK!
HES down to 16 this week. Sold six thousand and something.
it may sell again when he performs at the Brits
I do actually like the album , it has some really nice songs that are a little bit different.
I wish I was getting time to play it though ,
I agree Laura. UTR was the best album for a long time with many hit singles. I think that his self doubt had stopped him to realese it. He wouldnot have needed the help of Ed Sheeran to drop names. He is great for himself and his generation But Robbie should stay to be Robbie
Does he have the overall say when it comes to what songs appear on his albums . I would think the record label would have big input
He has always done well in the album charts , the singles not so good , is it song choice or is he considered old hat these days
I guess using the likes of Ed Sheeran etc opens him up to people who would not necessarily listen to Robbies music & would just check the album out because of the Ed Sheeran or other artist connection, must like we do when Robbie is featured on another artist album
It's part of Robbie's make up not to be confident, he always worries that his work is not good enough . Foe one thing I think he can be one of the best lyricists out there when he puts his mind to it & you cannot have a song without lyrics
I like Robbie when he is serious about his work , sometimes he messes about too much when being interviewed & you never get to hear what is behind the lyrics of a song, he has got better in recent years mind you

Robbie Williams is one of the biggest music names ever to come from the UK. He has won more BRIT Awards than any other artist, and all but one of his studio albums have reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

I like RKTVS. I listened to it lately and I like it more than TTC and the HES, less than UTR.
Didn't he loose out against JLS? The group that does not exist anymore some years later, while he is still there?
He does work very hard at what he does. He works hard to make it look easy.
That's why it annoys me if people dismiss him as lucky.
If you don't like his music, his persona, fair enough. We all have different tastes - but don't say it's down to luck. Not after 27 years.
Let Me Entertain You reached Gold status (400 000) in UK this September
I would have assumed it had sold far more considering how well known the song is, but I would have thought Angels had been number one either :-)
Eternity was No 1 in 2001 , I loved that song & video , just beautiful
I would love to her him sing it live ... here is a video from 2001 - live in Cologne - he sings it beautifully https://youtu.be/p_MYzecYbWk

Robbie Williams does claim a curious new chart feat by achieving the fastest-selling cassette release in almost two decades, shifting nearly 10,000 copies on tape in the last seven days.

However, there is a silver lining for Williams as ‘The Christmas Present’ becomes the fastest-selling cassette release in almost two decades, shifting nearly 10,000 copies on cassette in the past seven days. He tops the likes of Billie Eilish, The 1975 and Kylie Minogue who all had huge opening sales of their latest albums on the retro format.

Is this a new trend !!
And .... Meanwhile, Coldplay have said they want to play “a couple more shows” before taking time out to think about their touring future for environmental reasons.
Speaking to NME after launching their latest album ‘Everyday Life’ with a series of shows in Jordan, singer Chris Martin recently confirmed that they won’t be touring the record in the traditional way.
Si what we will see from Coldplay ...virtal reality tours

Rob is on course of 45k sales this week. Amazing!
wow, thanks Alex
Really suberb news , was not expecting it
Robbie is like Roger Federer!!
Things are even better now.
Last week he already got Number 1 in Austria, so it's his first in this era.
Since Swing WYW he had always been Number 1 there but THES was only Number 3. So, that's a comeback.
I believe we get more this week. I think some countries will join to Austria and UK.
Anyway,
check his chart peaks after 1st week:

Sweden 31
Finland 50
France 53
I also think that the marketing using different media is much better than the last time
And as much as I loved (still) Party like a Russian the choice for a lead single is much better.
Today his promotion starts in Germany and I am sure at least next week he will be no 1 there too.
He will have three days straight for promotion and then I see nothing live for few days. Maybe he will jump to Australia in that time?
Very straining schedule.
In Hamburg tonight.
Love the lyrics to Snowflakes.
Murray the step-dad has brought Mary-Lou
Tryin' to tell us why Trump good for you
The table goes quiet 'cause that's what we do
We're all liberal snowflakes
My dad's new girlfriend from Taiwan
Brand new to the country and she's 21
They met online and now she's my mum
Really like this one too.
"Next year I wish you more laughter". That would make a great tattoo.

I know he's only one man and can't get round the whole of Europe in two weeks but I did wonder if he would visit Scandinavia for promo. The countries he got to have all done well in sales.
He had done a very structured promotion this time and invest a lot into the UK. It was his 13th no 1 at the end :-)

Interesting read.
Robbie is on here because he had four number one albums in the decade. Thinking on that - if they count Progress that was a fifth and he was only 1700 copies away from a sixth. What an achievement. He's also on the list for his 13th solo album number one.

Robbie Williams' Rock DJ was Number 1 20 years ago
Robbie treats us all to a pound of flesh as he takes to the roller-disco for his most controversial video yet, this week in 2000.
By Justin Myers
2000 – or “the year 2000” as they used to call it back then – was a good time to be Robbie Williams. While most acts might be nervous limbering up to release a third album, Robbie’s confidence was unshakeable. So much so that he released what was, at that point at least, easily his most unusual and controversial single.
What was so special about Rock DJ? Well, Robbie rapped, for a start. Well, kind of. Over the top of an infectious disco beat sampled from classic tune It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me by soul legend Barry White, Robbie recited his verses in the “cheeky chappy” (ugh) style that would become his trademark. Fans who thought Robbie had abandoned his singing pipes for a career in rap, needn’t have worried. The on-point vocals were back in the singalong chorus.
So he raps, there’s a disco sample. He’s dancing for bored people on roller-skates in what you might call a roller-disco if you’re incredibly uncool. OK, maybe not very ‘Robbie 2000’ but what else was so controversial about it? Watch the video, remember what year you’re in, and let us know how you get on. Warning: if you have to look away at the surgical bits in Holby City, you may want to stop watching at around the 2m50s minute mark.
While there have been videos with more violence, and probably even more blood and gore, the very scientific, clinical way, our Robbie rips himself apart caused a bit of a stir at the time. Few people had any objection to Robbie getting muscles out in a vid – it’s when he started to tear them off and chuck them about the dance floor that eyebrows were raised. Except the eyebrows had already been torn off by the looks of it.
But there’s no such thing as bad publicity in pop music (within reason) and the fact music channels either refused to play it or yanked it off air just before it all got a bit Saw VI only helped its success.
Selling 199,000 copies in its first week, Rock DJ was Robbie’s fourth Number 1, his seventh straight Top 10 hit in a run that would take him all the way to 20 in a row until it was broke by Sin Sin Sin in 2006. It’s sold over 691,500 copies to make it Robbie’s third bestselling single in the UK, behind Candy and million-seller Angels. When streaming equivalent sales are added in, Rock DJ has shifted 973,000 chart sales.
MORE: Robbie Williams scores historic 1000th Number 1 album
Rock DJ was the lead single from third album Sing When You’re Winning, which is Rob’s third bestselling album, with over 2.2 million copies sold. Bonius chart fact: Sing When You’re Winning sold a whopping 313,000 copies in its first week on sale. Blimey! Robbie's Official Chart history in full here.
So Robbie was ripping up the rulebook and his torso at Number 1; what else was happening in the Top 10 20 years ago this week? Robbie had knocked Craig David's second chart-topper 7 Days down to to 2, and new at 3 was Time To Burn by Storm - the trance duo's biggest UK hit.
“As I rock-rock-rock-rock-rock the microphone.” The only Top 10 hit for the Finnish (yes really) drum and bass band. Perhaps the only drum and bass track to mention Celine Dion (if we’re wrong, please do write in and let us know), Freestyler has peaked at Number 2 the previous week, held off Number 1 by Craig David.
There was another new entry in the Top 10 for Chester rock band Mansun with I Can Only Disappoint U, their fourth and final Top 10 hit, and UK garage musician Wookie landed what would be his biggest hit with Battle ft. Lain.

p.p.s. by the moment TCP has sold 247k (231k - 2019; 16k - 2020) in UK.
I believe another 10k more to come during this period but not more, so it should reach 257k in total. It's underperformed in my opinion.
The single has done pretty ok,, amazing Fairy Tale of New York is top 5 year after year, a real classic that song
Buble did what Robbie did with his swing album: He recorded a Christmas album as contemporary artist like Rob recorded a swing album as contemporary artist. Both had been very successful and still sell.
Since then everyone and his do does swing (not even half as good as Rob) and has recorded a Christmas album. There is an avalanche. None of the newer ones will match Buble's not even the superstars of the moment. So I am not surprised.
Agree with you.
Plus for a normal promo there is need a full Xmas tour to get other artists' audience to your side.
& I think in terms of promo Robbie does the required minimum especially if there is no tour ...
27 this week.
That will be the peak then
I can't say enough how much I love Can't Stop Christmas - honestly one of my favourite songs from RW for years.
It's just a shame it's so topical that it won't age well.
I am still following the 'new' generation of Robbie 'fans' reading the comments to Candy which has gained 1 million views in the last months as it became a short clip hit on tiktok. Comments like 'I was 7 when it was released..."
And LMEY seems to be used by a Japanese Gold medalist for his short program which I think is very interesting as he wears almost the same outfit as Rob in the video
So much to relevance :-)
Interesting that a Japanese skater is using Rob's music. TT was big there, but I don't think Rob was
I only remember that he once said that telling him he is not successful in USA is just as telling him not to be successful in France or Japan

Robbie Williams' Official biggest albums in the UK revealed
Time to count down Robbie's biggest and best albums in the UK.
https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/robbie-williams-official-biggest-albums-in-the-uk-revealed__37385/
Robbie Williams' Official Top 40 biggest singles in the UK revealed
The biggest singles and songs released by Britain's premiere pop entertainer, ranked, revealed and updated now.
In many ways, Robbie Williams is Britain's ultimate, consummate entertainer. Graduating from his career in Take That as the band's designated cheeky chappie, Robbie left the band in a storm of controversy, but managed to carve out one of the most successful solo careers in the history of British music as a result. And trust us, the results speak for themselves, with seven solo Number 1 singles and a mind-bending 13 solo UK Number 1 albums (currently tying him with Elvis for the most for a solo artist, ever).
Robbie might just add another to his list, however, as XXV - a brand-new greatest hits compilation celebrating 25 years of his solo career - is currently out-selling the rest of the UK Top 10 combined on its way to Number 1 this week. And to celebrate, we're presenting you with the updated ranking of Robbie's biggest-ever singles in the UK.
But before we reveal the chart in full, let's count down the Top 10:
Robbie Williams' Official Charts history in full
10. Love My Life
Released: 2016
Album: The Heavy Entertainment Show
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 22
Total UK chart units: 377,000
Robbie's most recent Top 40 single, Love My Life was the most successful offering from 2016's super-charged The Heavy Entertainment Show, his first with current record label Columbia.
9. Eternity/The Road To Mandalay
Released: 2001
Album: Sing When You're Winning/Greatest Hits
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 418,000
Classed as the fifth single from Sing When You're Winning without actually being included on the original tracklist, Eternity (a double A-side single issued with The Road To Mandalay) became Robbie's fourth Number 1 single.
8. Somethin' Stupid (with Nicole Kidman)
Released: 2001
Album: Swing When You're Winning
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 505,000
Yes, you read that right. The actual Nicole Kidman. How did the two come together to record this chart-topping duet? Robbie was a big fan of Nicole's Oscar-nominated turn in the musical Moulin Rouge, so asked her to jump on the track.
7. Millennium
Released: 1998
Album: I've Been Expecting You
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 598,000
If there was one thing Robbie Williams wanted after leaving Take That, it was a solo Number 1 single. He didn't get it for quite a while - nearly two years since his debut - but it was Millennium that finally clinched it for him in 1998. Although it a bit annoying a song called Millennium wasn't actually released on the Millennium, right?
6. Feel
Released: 2002
Album: Escapology
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 4
Total UK chart units: 625,000
He just wants to Feel! Real love! The lead track from Escapology was originally released in December 2002 with the intention of being that year's Christmas Number 1. This wouldn't quite work (it peaked at Number 4, sadly) but the track still proves pretty popular - overall, with over 35 million streams to its name, it's actually Robbie's third-most streamed track in the UK.
5. Let Me Entertain You
Released: 1998
Album: Life Thru A Lens
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 3
Total UK chart units: 645,000
One of two tracks (along with Rock DJ) that showcases Robbie at his peacocking best, Let Me Entertain You has proved to be the modus operandi of the star's entire career.
4. She's The One/It's Only Us
Released: 1999
Album: I've Been Expecting You
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 781,000
A weepy if we've ever heard one, She's The One is actually a cover. The song was originally released by British rock band World Party in 1997 before being taken on by Robbie, who issued it alongside It's Only Us.
3. Candy
Released: 2012
Album: Take The Crown
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 952,000
In case you can't tell by listening to Candy, by 2012 Robbie really wanted another Number 1 single. And that's where this giddy, over-the-top tune (written by Take That bandmate Gary Barlow and produced by Jacknife Lee) comes in. Almost custom-engineered to be a hit, Candy's convictions won out, granting Robbie his seventh UK Number 1 single, and first in the UK since Radio in 2004.
2. Rock DJ
Released: 2000
Album: Sing When You're Winning
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 1.1 million
Perhaps the one track that best exemplifies Robbie's unique flair as a pop star; showmanship, the cheeky, snarky ego befitting one of the biggest pop stars of their generation, all packed with the charisma of talking with your mate in the pub. He's got the gift, gonna stick in the goal!
1. Angels
Released: 1997
Album: Life Thru A Lens
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 4
Total UK chart units: 2 million
Probably one of the songs that, if you go up to any citizen of the United Kingdom, could sing for you at the drop of a hat, Angels is perhaps the greatest accomplishment of Robbie's solo career and the very height of his collaboration with frequent co-writer and producer Guy Chambers.
Perhaps you'll be surprised to know that Angels never hit Number 1 in the UK. But then again, none other than Taylor Swift invited Robbie up onstage to perform the song with her at her Reputation tour date in London (where she and the entire crowd knew every word off by heart, naturally), so who needs a Number 1 single after that?

Robbie Williams' Official biggest albums in the UK revealed
Time to count down Robbie's biggest and best albums in the UK.
As we discussed earlier this week, Robbie Williams is Britain's ultimate pop showman in chief, and he's celebrating 25 years since the start of his solo career with the new career retrospective XXV. Currently leading the charge to debut at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, XXV contains some of Robbie’s best-loved hits, newly-orchestrated and recorded with the Metropole Orkest.
Now that we've revealed Robbie's biggest singles in the UK, it's time now to turn our eyes to his albums. To date, Robbie has 13 UK Number 1 albums to his name - the most for any British solo artist, and he's currently tied with Elvis Presley. Only The Beatles have more, with 15.
Robbie Williams' Official Charts history in full
5. Life Thru A Lens
Released: 1997
Official Albums Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 2.1 million
Debut albums can be a pressure cooker, but you'd have been forgiven for forgetting that Robbie ever sweated his first album since leaving Take That. Indeed, Life Thru A Lens' focus on a Brit-pop sound is a curveball most weren't certainly expecting, but then again, who's going to argue against Angels?
4. Sing When You're Winning
Released: 2000
Official Albums Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 2.2 million
Robbie's third album came to fruition after he tried (and famously failed) to crack America in 1999. Still, although Stateside superstardom had evaded him, he re-grouped with frequent collaborators Guy Chambers and Steve Power to re-assert his dominance back home. And re-assert he did. Sing When You're Winning contained five UK Top 10 singles; including Number 1 singles Rock DJ and Eternity (which wasn't originally included on the tracklist) and his high-throttle duet with Kylie Minogue, Kids.
3. Swing When You're Winning
Released: 2001
Official Albums Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 2.4 million
What do you do when you're at the very apex of your solo career and the undisputed biggest pop star in the country? Release an album of jazz covers, obviously.
One of the biggest swings (sorry) of Robbie's career, his fourth album contained another Number 1 single in the form of Somethin' Stupid with Nicole Kidman and proved to be so successful that he would revisit the form with a sequel record, Swings Both Ways, in 2013. To date in 2022, Swing When You're Winning is Robbie's third biggest-seller here, but his most digitally downloaded album overall (over 94,000 units).
2. Greatest Hits
Released: 2004
Official Albums Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 2.5 million
Coming from a time when greatest hits collections were big, big business, Robbie's first chance to reflect on the first phase of his solo career was a tour-de-force. Containing a Number 1 single (Radio), it may come in second place overall, but it contains the most album streams of any Robbie Williams in the UK.
1. I've Been Expecting You
Released: 1998
Official Albums Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 2.6 million
There were no signs of difficult second album syndrome on I've Been Expecting You. Not only did the single Millennium finally give Robbie the solo Number 1 single he'd been desperate for, it contains some of the most popular songs of his career, included guaranteed tear-jerker She's The One.
Overall, I've Been Expecting You comes out on top as Robbie's most popular album in the UK. It has total chart units registering more than 2.6 million, and is also his most physically-purchased record, with more than 2.5 million physical units sold.

Robbie Williams breaks Official Chart records with XXV album - only The Beatles now have more UK Number 1 albums
Robbie becomes the solo artist with most UK Number 1 albums, with only The Beatles boasting more Number 1 LPs
By Carl Smith
Robbie Williams breaks Official Chart records as XXV tops the Official Albums Chart, becoming Robbie’s 14th Number 1 solo album. As the latest hits compilation from the Stoke-on-Trent superstar reaches the chart summit, the Official Charts Company can confirm that Robbie overtakes Elvis Presley (13 Number 1s), to become the solo artist with the most UK Number 1 albums ever. Astonishingly, tonight’s chart result leaves only one act now with more UK Number 1 albums than Robbie - The Beatles have managed 15 Number 1s across their career. See the full list of artists with the most Number 1 records to their names.
During his time in Take That, Robbie also racked up a further four Number 1 albums (five including Take That’s later greatest hits collection Odyssey from 2018 which spans pre and post-Robbie era). The overall record holder for an individual with the most Number 1 albums is Paul McCartney who has racked up a staggering 23 Number 1 albums across his career in The Beatles, Wings and as a solo act.
Speaking on his achievement, Robbie says: “Thank you to everyone who’s supported the album: everyone who’s bought it, streamed it, downloaded it and reviewed it. I’m so pleased that it’s gone to Number 1, and whilst it feels strange to be receiving an award during these sombre times, I wanted to thank you all for your support and dedicate this to the fans, who I never take for granted. I really appreciate it, thank you so much.”
Birmingham-born rocker Ozzy Osbourne enjoys a solo career best with Patient Number 9 this week, as the LP debuts at Number 2. His 13th solo studio album, it out-peaks his previous best with 2020 release Ordinary Man (3) and becomes his fifth Top 10 record to date. Ozzy also has ten further Top 10 albums to his name as part of Black Sabbath. Patient Number 9 proved the most popular album on wax too this week, topping the Official Vinyl Albums Chart. See Ozzy Osbourne’s full Official Charts history so far here.
Welsh rock group Manic Street Preachers see their 2001 record Know Your Enemy return to the Top 5 this week (4), thanks to a reissue offering remixed and reconstructed tracks available across two separate albums for the first time. Know Your Enemy peaked at Number 2 upon its original release.
The Amazons’ How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me becomes the Reading rock outfit’s third consecutive Top 10 album, providing them a career best as it enters at Number 5. The group previously enjoyed success with 2017 debut The Amazons (8) and 2019 release Future Dust (9). Earlier this year, How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me made Official Charts history as it became the first album containing NFT elements to be approved for chart inclusion by the Official Charts Company.
As his comeback single Forget Me debuts atop the Official Singles Chart this week, Lewis Capaldi’s debut Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent makes a return to the Top 10 (9). The record topped the chart on its release in 2019 before spending 78 consecutive weeks in the Top 10, including ten at Number 1.
Nigerian breakout star Asake’s debut album Mr. Money With The Vibe becomes his first UK Top 40 LP this week (22), while Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall makes a triumphant return with her seventh studio album NUT (25).
And finally, a remastered reissue sees Toyah’s Anthem re-enter the Top 40 (33). The record originally peaked at Number 2 upon its release in 1981.

I suppose, these are 90% finalised chart peaks for XXV.
I suppose he also has some chance to get a re-peak in Germany due to a lot of concerts will come; in Italy (#13 is low for him) because there should be a buzz because of the start of his European campaign in January; and maybe in NZ but in the end of 2023 only.
Also would be interesting to get some information from South American charts but it's rather difficult to find the data.
Maybe next autumn when he is coming to be there (hope so!) we will know about it from any articles.

Favourite song on NOW #1s: Robbie Williams – Rock DJ
"Rock DJ is a childhood nostalgia classic. It's my second all-time favourite song. I have bought many physical copies of the single – the CD, cassette, VHS single, DVD single and the remixes CD single.
"It’s a song that gets me singing out loud, grooving and dancing away. I love the controversial music video. I have done all sorts of research about the song, including watching a documentary about the music video's production and filming from behind the scenes. I’ve watched interviews about the song's creation and how it came to be; such as the song being written in 15 minutes and sampling another well-known track. I even have the first ever broadcast of the music video on Top Of The Pops which was cut short due to its content towards the end."

I remember the time he had been on each NOW in a row...
Good to see LOST in the last one and defo Rob must be on Anniversary edition, so Rock DJ is a good choice.

Robbie Williams was top of the Irish singles chart twenty-five years ago this week.
His “Millennium”, the first track from second studio album “I’ve Been Expecting You”, was released more than two years before the actual millennium year 2000, but became one of the big anthems celebrating the event, its big “stars directing our fate” chorus striking a chord. “Millennium” was Williams’ first number one single in either the UK or Ireland. “Angels”, his best-selling and possibly best-loved single - released the previous year - had peaked at No. 2 in Ireland and only reached No. 4 in the UK.
Williams had most of the lyrics for “Millennium” written by the time his producer (and former World Party member) Guy Chambers came up with the song title.
Explaining the name to Songwriting Magazine in 2019, Chambers said, “There was a lot of talk about the millennium back then, it’s a bit like the ‘Brexit’ word now... not that I’d write a song called ‘Brexit.’ I just thought it was an interesting word.”
007 fan Williams wanted the song to have a James Bond feel and, from the start, Chambers decided he would sample John Barry’s musical arrangement of “You Only Live Twice” (by Nancy Sinatra), featuring what he considered an “iconic intro” that “grabs you straight away”. However, when record label Chrysalis discovered that a new recording would cost only one tenth of the licensing fee that would be required to sample “You Only Live Twice”, they asked that it be recreated in the studio, so an orchestra comprising of a 26-piece string section, four French horn players, and a harpist was brought in to record it.
The tongue-in-cheek video for the song - featuring Robbie Williams parodying James Bond in some very loose recreations of famous scenes from the movies - won the award for British Video Of The Year at the 1999 Brits. “Millennium” was part of an incredible singles chart run for the former Take That member whose solo career has made him one of the biggest recording artists of all time. Between 1996 and 2013 he had 29 top-ten hits in the UK, including seven number ones.
Just before “Millennium” reached the top of the charts, Robbie Williams supported The Verve in a memorable performance at Slane Castle.
The following year he would return to Ireland to play a sold-out headliner before 80,000 fans at the same venue.
