Just listened to M.O. and it sounds very generic, but with the bonus addition of Kent Jones it could perform well, and I would certainly like it to as well.

DJ Fresh has a single out with an all-star cast, but it's lacking somewhat for me, so I think it will be a miss.

Jax Jones also has a new single out, and it features RAYE whose already selling singles with Jonas Blue, so she could get some attention there.

Waiting to see what else is new today.

ZAYN and Taylor Swift have released a new track called "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, which is available to purchase on the US iTunes so far. I assume it will be out in the rest of the countries in the following hours.

I think without the physicals and streaming dominating more than ever, the X Factor winner has little to no chance If it is a good song, it might be able to become a hit though, over time.

I'm still 50/50 with X Factor's single it really depends who wins I suppose, Little Mix did it with Shout To My Ex in the end, it really depends on Clean Bandits sales tonight, to see how much the track trail off after last week, as they did have X Factor performance to boost their numbers, yesterday on the mids 55.5k say another 9k on top of that, I probably predict a total of 64k+ tonight

Than again if Zayn & Taylor can crash it over the weekend, that could have a chance, before the X Final final is announced.

To get a #1 next week, the track will only have to sell around 70k+

I do hope she wins even though I only watched the early live shows of this series, even though she would be more suited to musicals than pop music, as she always seems to put in a big dramatic performance when she sings.

No but she could have very short (by 2016 standards) chart runs.

Her comeback single for her next album could even go to number one without Spotify if it has enough hype, she's only have to sell 80k and she is on Apple Music.

This is actually very good. It's my favourite song that Craig David has been in, and he sounds great in it

I was afraid that with Diplo in it there would be annoying pitched sounds and vocals, but there isn't thank goodness.

It'd be a big shame if they don't release it to Spotify. It could be a week exclusive with Apple (a bit like Drake was) but as Taylor doesn't have her songs on Spotify its probably unlikely..

She doesn't want her music on Spotify because she wants her fans to buy her music. She obviously doesn't realise it will stop her having a hit. Robbie Williams is struggling to have a hit because his fans won't stream his music even though they can but with her, they can't stream her music so what she needs to do is wise up and put her music back on streaming services

Zayn and Taylor won't miss the top 10 officially if they're #1 on sales, they'll need around 40k to be #1 on sales (that's what Rockabye sold on pure sales last week) and last week it took 35k sales + streams to go top 10.

Once she realises she'll be more successful in the charts by putting her songs on Spotify she'll do it I think. Though that may not be for a while yet seeing as YouTube counts towards the US Chart therefore she can still have #1s easily there.

J Cole everybody dies has a great rap but but the backing track is so boring. The False Prophets backing track is a bit more interesting, but I prefer sweeping backing tracks like in 'We Own It' by Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz in hip hop songs.

There are some indications she will carve in eventually.

The first one is that Universal's big boss has made clear no act can have exclusives and she is distributed worldwide by Universal. Of course, she is so huge I am pretty sure she can still be an exception but the fact there'll be so much pressure from her WW distributor to make it available on the platform might work. It definitely worked with Drake.

Also, she is a worldwide act but she can still gets even bigger in a lot of regions around the globe. She hasn't even done a proper arena tour across Europe yet and she is big in Latin America but can get even bigger. Spotify exposure is a must in those continents. So there ya go....

I mean, of course she is huge enough to shun Spotify and still be successful. Beyoncé does it. But, at the long run, it wouldn't really benefit her and her and her team are usually very business-minded and micromanage every detail.

Taylor/Zayn shouldn't have any trouble going top 10. Whilst spotify makes up the majority of streams, Apple Music has a siginificant share of the streaming market. So they should get a good chunk of streams from there to help push them into the top 10. Considering how large its lead is getting on iTunes as well, I think it'll do somewhere around 40-45k on pure sales with another 10-15k from streams. Perhaps even higher as I'm sure radio will start hammering the song right away!

That Jax Jones song has a great vocal but in terms of the backing track.it is just another generic minimal tropical house sounding track, just with more bass on the notes than tropical house usually has:( . I am dismayed this looks like it is going to be a hit

I think without massive releases from Zaylor and Louis as well as potentially the winner's single, Little Mix would have had a chance for #1. But now they have all those songs up against them, i think they'll make it up to low top five or a little lower possibly, especially as it's not a brand new song(s). I do think they have a chance of climbing there though over the weeks if it catches on.

Will be interesting to see the #s for the #1 this week. If a charity song picks up it may only need to sell 90-100k copies (perhaps less) which is doable considering charity songs can build momentum very quickly.

I think it all depends on Louis' streams. If he manages to debut at #1 or top 3 on Spotify then he's got a massive chance, but I think we'll see a SALES top 6 of Louis, ZAYN, Little Mix, X-Factor winner, Hospices, and Jo Cox's Friends regardless. I think it's a good move releasing a Xmas song. It's not like the song is going to last more than 3 weeks in the chart anyway (look at last year) so they may as well get big sales in the first few weeks.

Jax Jones looks set to be a hit by the looks of. 'House Work' didn't pick up radio play for a good two months after premiere but I suspect You Don't Know Me will be added to radio around mid January or early February.

Yeah it's mostly an instrumental and instrumentals tend to struggle in today's chart climate. Maybe a couple of years ago in the days of 'Walking With Elephants' and its like it would have done well, but its unlikely now.

Perfect Illusion was like a 2013 OA/OS fanbase single. Totally frontloaded and was never going to have any momentum as its sales all came in bulk. Luckily Million Reasons is getting gradual boosts in popularity because of great promo! I doubt it'll do much of anything like make the top 10, though.

Clean Bandit up from 0.26 to 0.38 within the last 24 hours. It's looking likely they will end up around about 0.6 by the end of the week again, which would mean that unless Matt Terry's or Louis' sales somehow get a boost again next week and something to stop them falling throughout next week too then CB seem to be in the larger contention for Christmas #1 due to having such a streaming advantage.

With Mariah's sales so low, I think the main contenders to topple them would be a Charity single but I'm not seeing as much hype for them.

Do we have any idea about performers for Christmas Day Top Of The Tops?

Yeah, 'Rockabye' is back up to 0.50 now, it was 0.34 this time yesterday.

Neither Louis or Matt are selling enough to overcome CB's streaming advantage for both this week and also next week for Christmas #1. Matt could only do so next week if he managed to keep relatively steady from here on in with sales but currently everyone is gaining on him 0.04 every few hours, so it looks like both him and Louis are out of the running for Christmas #1, unless they somehow get another sales boost from somewhere.

The only chance of stopping CB next week is Jo Cox and Friends, so we will have to wait and see how much they actually sell.

I already cashed out a couple of bets I made on the Xmas #1 but I've put the profit from those back on Clean Bandit (and a little bit on Mariah as I still think it's totally feasible she could be #1) because it's still too tempting at their current odds. I don't think it'll be that hard for the Jo Cox single to beat CB though. It won't even need to sell as much as NHS Choir did.

He's decreasing around about that every hour though. When that is taken over a day or two, that is a very steady pace.

Well that's in comparison to Louis who is also decreasing a lot Clean Bandit are up from 0.52 to almost 0.56.

He's decreasing a LOT faster than that. His sale at iTunes halved yesterday, and likely did the same today.

He's decreasing faster than yesterday and faster than Louis, yesterday the gap between him and the others was shortening but not as much as today. If he continues like that next days he will lose the N.1 on iTunes in 2 days.

I thought that they normally performed on Christmas Day TOTP, but I think that seeing as the line up was announced last month, it might have already been filmed.

Clean Bandit & Anne Marie are performing 'Rockabye' on it anyway, so TOTP will also boost his rival.

Oh, they must have added them. He's got just over 180k today, that means he averaged 150k on Monday and Tuesday. Assuming 5/6 of his streams are in the UK, he's got 2.5k sales points to be added on.

(they might have already been added on - I can't really tell tbh)

How is #3 set in stone for him ? guess my calculations are off.. Isn't he ahead of Louis in actual sales and Louis is only ahead of him with streaming ? Matt's first day of streaming he did 150,000 ... didn't Louis' first day do less ? last update had them only 2,000 or so apart.. i assumed that would mean if Matt stayed ahead of him in sales for these last 2 days Matt should be #2 at least ?

Every update Matts dark red seems to be darker because although Louis has also dark red updates the gap decreases faster.
