Trailer is EPIC. It's so weird seeing them on a beach
Danai has confirmed S10 will be her last which I'm absolutely gutted about I guess it was inevitable with what a big star she's become.
https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a29214771/the-walking-dead-season-10-premiere-reviews/
Reviews for the S10 premiere are all amazing! Can't wait
Really excited for this now!
Watching series 9 again currently, an episode a night until 7/10!
From the trailer it looks like Oceanside plays a bigger role this time.
OMFG how good was episode 2, love the back story if the Whisperers and how complex their ideology is - is anyone still watching @Rooney @Jase!??
I'm watching! Only seen the first episode so far, and it was such a strong season opener. Great action re: the satellite, the fire & well written... I particularly loved the scene of Carol/Daryl interacting, highlighting that they're such close friends! The show is really high quality again since Season 9.
Yeh Angela Kang has improved things as Show runner!
Wasn't huge on episode 1 but it goes up a notch in episode 2. There's a new character as well, you might recognise her from Hocus Pocus ❤️
What was the name of the song in episode 4?
Thanks for that, lovely track.
What a penultimate episode of the mid season that was - il Say Nothing but the Sadiq storyline involving PTSD is brillant and didn't see the ending coming.
That mid season finale... f***
Currently watching....
Why do we have to wait until Feb to follow that lol. Bet Rick is on the island!!
Great season ending to Fear imo. Madison totally bad ass as usual. Did you see her on talking dead after btw? Man she looks great.
Which series are you on?
Well that was a good start to the second half of the series.
Negan and Alpha tho 😍
Really good episode tonight - really thought Alpha and Daryl were gonners. Sad to see a long time recurring character leave!
That must have been the best episode of the series. there was a few scream out moments from myself, especially the gunshot through the door, I just didn't expect that.
I must admit this season has been a bit weak, I think it needs wrapping up now and tie up loose ends, like where is Rick after the guys in the helicopter picked him up. Really surprised is in its 10th season.
I think it's fine they are building up perfectly to the finale vs the whisperers and their competing ideologies.
Last night was quite like an old fashioned horror film with Betta being in the house chasing them down.
Episode 11 seemed to Be building to the big battle and what it means so was quite slow but I liked it. Love Judith drawing on Daryls wings for him!!
Wow what an episode - like after the prison was destroyed, feel like we are starting a new era. And Negan!!!
Il say no more....
Every episode is getting better - sad to see such a fundamental character leave but what a great episode to leave - the alternative history was class!
That was just an OK episode, I'm guessing it leads to a new city or its going back to where it all started as the Season 11 opener, as a new character got introduced The only non brainer, the finale is later in the year, and it could be October before Season 11 starts, I'm guessing its because of the Coronavirus got in the way. Next week its the penultimate episode.
Yeh for whatever reason the finale hadn't been finalised before corona started so they have to Finish that, don't know why but maybe it's because of it finish so could be interesting. Can't see series 11 until 2021 now because filming for it only starts in May so it'll be hugely effected and won't finish until later in the autumn or later depending on when things get back to normal. The new series usually get aired in early October.
Yeh wonder what city they were meant to be entering - was it even Atlanta?
Could make for an interesting change of scenery for the first time since series 5/6!
The finale won't air until later this year so there's only one more episode left
Bit mad they didn't have it completed before March!
I imagine the storyline has already been done, seems to be issues with added effects etc.
Yeh its true episodes 13/14 were big ones and they seems to be showing the next set-up with Eugene's group meeting 'Princess' in the episode aired on Monday.
Series 2 and 3 of Fear are a lot better than series 1 so lucky you have those 2 series to enjoy now lol. Series 3 is the best series, up there with series 1-4 of the Walking Dead.
I gave up on Fear and it's very rare I give up on a show :/
Season 1 = good
Season 2 = crap
Season 3 = INCREDIBLE.
Season 4 = crap
Season 5 = unwatchable
Absolutely zero interest in the sixth season.
Series 4 was terrible for me too, they got rid of the two most important characters and jumped to Walking Deads timeline making Lennie James the main character. It just spoilt the amazingness they developed in series 3.
I liked series 1 due to seeing the outbreak played out from the start which you don't see in the Walking Dead and series 2 was class as well for me but series 3 peaked as the struggles began.
I’m enjoying season 2 way more than season 1 so far. There’s a lot of similarities with TWD (lots of mirroring with the whole Hershel’s farm plot too) but it’s still very different. I do like how right now everyone is very spread out and kinda doing their own thing which we didn’t really see in the main show aside from Terminus which was still different because they were all going the same direction anyway. Nicks having the chance to be himself without being under Maddison’s law, Travis & Kris are godknows where (not that I care tbh the two weakest characters so far. I did enjoy how he was on the road to going apeshit and murdering the girls though) and then the rest are currently surrounded by walkers in the hotel.
Yeh it keeps getting better so keep watching.
I thought ep 15 woulda been a big one but it was just setting the stage for the finale which we won't see for god knows how long
Good ep though. I already love Princess *.*
Princess is the best new character we've had in years tbh aside from Alpha, already really excited to see more of her messing everything up! Although cutting to her being an idiot did take away from the suspense of the rest of the episode slightly, but nothing major actually happened other than setup so I'm okay with that
Also I just started Season 3 of FTWD. I've binged through this faster than I thought tbh but i'm really enjoying it! I think this is one of the most brutal deaths I've seen in anything TWD related in a very long time too. The deaths of Abraham & Glenn were bad but we didn't really see them like we do this. If only this was a major character getting killed it'd be insane *.* although Travis jumping out of the helicopter after being biten AND shot in the neck was pretty hectic too
Yeh was wild that one, really scary. He was stupid though!
Just watched the current(and final episode for a while) episode and OMG I love Princess already, she's hilarious!!
Be interesting to see what happens with the Whisperers as well. I imagine the next series will move onto a new scene now that Hilltop etc destroyed. It's a good idea as I feel those places have been used enough now.
What was the situation with the voices Betta was heading?
I reckon he's just going insane from trying to cope with the pressure of living up to Alpha whilst simultaneously refusing to become the next Alpha. They weren't prepared for her to die and he doesn't have it in him to lead a group. Now he's going kamikaze with hundreds of walkers as revenge. Worth noting that he's not completely lost his mind tho, catching that the cat was from Alexandria and knowing to follow it to the tower was a good one
Ah I didn't realise that.
I hope Betta isn't finished as a character tho, great star of the show for me!
I'm loving Princess, great addition to the series. I think Michonne has left the series now.
Only 2 original stars are left from Season 1 Darryl and Carol, they are carrying the series more than anything.
Yeah, Michonne has gone now
I wouldn't be surprised if Beta dies in the series finale because I think S11 will be solely focused on the Commonwealth.
A trailer for the finale confirms that Maggie is back!
Yeh I was thinking that but then Negan is still around.
The Commonwealth will be hugely interesting to watch.
Michonne is like Rick out for now but she can be brought back if she wants to herself.
Daryl and Carol might be the only original survivors BUT a lot of the added cast are great too. Eugene, Aaron, Gabriel, Ezekiel, and Negan are all great characters with lots of things they can all do in future. Eugene is the link between our communities and the Commonwealth (until they see Maggie there anyway), Aaron has been a major part of every storyline, Gabriel has COMPLETELY changed as a character from when he first entered the show and his growth is incredible. I can't see Eugene, Gabriel or Aaron leaving anytime soon. Ezekiel is kind of drained by now though I feel he's just sticking around as a side character because theres nothing for him to really do. In fact this trip to Commonwealth is so far doing a decent job of giving these extra characters a job Negan is brilliant I never want him to leave
Rosita and Connie are decent too and Yumiko is growing on me.
Ah so that's where Maggie has been!!
I actually watched Talking Dead there and saw the extended clip from the finale which showed how Maggie comes back into it.
Can't wait tbh!
Is all of season 4 alternating timelines? So freaking annoying that I just skipped loads of it... is season 5 better?
I think so, it's the worst series yet imo haven't watched the new series yet!
Season finale “A Certain Doom” airing 4th October! I’m incredibly excited for this, almost a year since this season began!
Same here, I have recorded all the series on rte during the summer so will rewatch it this month!
Remember, spin-off World Beyond also airs October 4th! Gonna be watching them back to back on the Monday night
Well that is shite news, I guess the comics are over so they are just ending it there.
Where’s this new show on Jase?
Brilliant news! Theres also an anthology style spin off where each episode or series of episodes will feature a completely different set of characters and follow different stories. Tales of The Walking Dead. Hopefully some previous characters will return even just for short stints and we can have standalone stories with people like The Governor, Morgan, the family from the first season who left on their own, etc. Perhaps even some comic stories that haven’t been adapted yet will get their turn on screen, or the Telltale series characters will be used, hell they could even give more background to characters from World Beyond or Fear TWD. Anything is possible really they can use anyone from any time in this world
Also the season finale we thought it would be is no longer the finale as 6 more episodes are being added to the season! I suppose it’ll be essentially a third chapter to this season with another break between episodes. Meaning we have 30 more episodes of regular TWD left which is incredible news
PLEASE give us a Governor spin-off.
So to summarise..
October 4th: Season 10 episode 16
Early 2021: Season 10 episodes 17-22
Late 2021: Season 11 episodes 1-12
Late 2022: Season 11 episodes 13-24
2023: Daryl and Carol
...maybe?
Inbetween all of that we have the Rick movie which I'm convinced is just a myth
Seems strange to do a spin off featuring Daryl and Carol as they are already the main characters on TWD now and have been around so much longer than the rest of the current cast.
Its also a sign that they will survive unless its a prequel or something.
Anyone watch the finale? Love that Beta moment!
I thought it was all a bit anti-climatic tbh
Maggie's return was so flat and Beta deserved a huge moment. His death was so...sudden/abrupt
What was the thing with his vision all about? Also why do people now not cover their faces with blood when disguising themselves?
O man... I just watched it, It was brilliant, some of it, especially Maggie's return she really didn't have much to do in it to be honest, and who is that sidekick or bodyguard, as I remember she left on her own. It didn't really explain Michonne was missing, unless I blinked and missed it.
The cliff-hanger was a bit crazy and all over the place to be honest.
Michonne had a leaving episode I think it was episode 14/15?
Yeah Michonne left a little while back, episode 13. She goes to an island with Virgil where he's supposedly giving her weapons for Oceanside but he tricked her, drugged her, and a lot of the episode is hallucinating a "what if?" flashback where she never saved Andrea years ago. The alternate timeline has her eventually joining the Saviour's and becoming one of Negan's trusted allies to the point where she is responsible for killing Glenn and Abraham. Then she is hit by one of Daryl's arrows I believe and Rick kills her. Makes her think about the decisions she makes and when she finds a pair of Ricks boots and an ipod he scratched into she sets out to go find him - and hasn't been heard from since. Presumably she'll appear in the Rick spin off movies
As for Maggie she set off on her own (with baby obviously) to join the other settlement who gave them the original blueprints for the windmill etc. a long time ago. I figure the crazy ninja guy either lives at Maggies new home or they met them along the way
I loved the alternative history episode for Michonne just seeing the old characters for a bit was class
I thought the 6 extra Bonus episodes were straight after the finale this week - anyone know when they are being shown?
Early 2021 afaik
Starts again this evening on Fox!
Spoiler bc it hasn’t aired everywhere just yet
I mean... it’s not the greatest of episodes but it fills in a lot of gaps around Maggie and what she’s been up to over the years. The main takeaway was that she (obviously) still hates Negan and has raised young Hershel to hate the man who killed his dad also. Which is an entirely valid thing honestly it’ll just be interesting to see how it plays out. But yeah nothing happened that we didn’t already know/expect Seeing young Hershel was adorable though he looks so much like Glenn it hurts
This week was mostly a Maggie episode with Daryl and next week is supposedly (from reviewers info) a Daryl episode with Carol. Hopefully a bit more ambitious than this weeks but we’ll see
Yeh I enjoyed seeing Maggie back and the links to the characters like Glenn, hershel and Beth(im currently re watching from the start) and how that story will play out. Cant wait to see the episode with Negans origins!!
That episode this week was fantastic!
Loving these character driven special episodes and we get to fill in the blanks from the time jump.
Monday’s episode was fantastic - great part by Robert Patrick!
First episode in the history of the Walking Dead there was no ‘In Memorial’ in the episode 😂
I haven’t watched it yet but supposedly this weeks is one of the worst since Angela took over as showrunner. A bonus episode of basically just filler Carol making soup and talking to Dog
Yeh saw the promo clip for it with the fork in the road. I like these bonus episodes though a lot of character focus which is good to see. The Maggie one would be 6/10 for me, the Carol/Daryl would be 8/10 and the Erin/Father Gabriel would be 9/10! The Princess one last week was the best though full 10/10 for me with the mental health aspect meaning we aren’t sure where she’s at, brilliant stuff!
Yeh was a bit of a filler episode but I actually enjoyed it a lot. I liked that we actually see Alexandria a lot more than usual and realise they have lives which they go on with amongst all the e fighting.
Fun fact the red bucket Carol collected the stuff for soup was a link to the first series which Amy used to collect fish from at the Atlanta camp. Love things like that!
Also next weeks series finale is the one we’ve been waiting for - the NEGAN formation episode!! Loved the sneak peak as well, won’t spoil it. It’s also an hour and a half long!!
Outside of Dog being an absolute star, that was EASILY one of the worst episodes in many years. Absolutely pitiful.
I enjoyed it more than I thought it would but yeah nothing special. I guess it’s an insight into Alexandrian life which, as it turns out, is pretty boring when there’s no villain It was nice seeing Carol’s resourcefulness and survival skills in effect - but this also could’ve been two 7 minute webisodes of “Carol’s Soup” and “Daryl’s Bike”
In true TWD style they followed up one of the worst episodes with one of the best imo
Here’s Negan is the characterisation from the comics we needed and has me SO hyped for the next season, what an ending!
Really looking forward to it tonight, is it extended?
Only one more series too
And Fear isn’t anywhere near as good, in fact series 4&5 are like a different show to 1-3. I have heard series 6 is a lot better though. 4&5 are awful though!
Insane how they can give us one of the worst episodes in the show's history to giving us one of the best episodes in years the week after!
What an episode that was, one I will have to watch more than once 😍!
God I love this show. So amazing the way they should us glimpses of the pre apocalypse times and how NEGAN fell apart. I loved the look in the final scene too, how’s this gonna end up!!?
Also so the apocalypse begins in Oct/Nov then according the the messages on Luciles phone. And they would have left the farm the following autumn in the shows timeline. Love how we get a glimpse of Laura and the famous RV!
Just watching the Talking Dead episode now and loads of things you miss
Such as the references to ‘Night of the Living Dead’ during the radio broadcast and Negans high school football team were called ‘The Saviours’ love those links!!
Fox channel is to close in the UK after 17 years as Disney continues to withdraw from traditional television and shift its focus to Disney+.
Fox will stop broadcasting on Sky and Virgin Media from June 30, with many of its titles making the jump to Star on Disney+.
So Walking Dead will be on Fox going forward? (All the series)
My friend kept trying to convince me to get back into Fear after I gave up half way through the abomination that was the fifth season. I watched the last half of S5 and it continued to be an absolute shitfest...and then I binged 13 episodes of S6 over the course of a few days and it's perhaps the strongest season to date?! Mind = blown
I watched up until the end of series 5 which as you say is awful albeit it does get ALOT better in the final few episodes but yeh heard series 6 is amazing. It’s so random and I’m still not over what they did after the great to unreal series 1-3, and especially the third series the way the built it all up just to take the piss in series 4!
Confirmed that the first 10 seasons will be available on Disney+ from 2nd July, with Season 11 following from 23rd August.
