Ruth being the 14th Doctor, see this article here

I'd be happy with that, though I'd miss the "hype" of a new Doctor being revealed during Wimbledon or something laugh.gif

Yes got a bit ahead of myself there laugh.gif but she has been seen at the locations where DW is 100% filming today, so it seems likely...

He's posted another video having his hair dyed by a woman wearing a BBC lanyard... I think it's looking very very likely now!

The tabloids are reporting that Olly Alexander is "in advanced talks" to be cast as The Doctor, so take that however you want!

(I really hope it's true though, especially after seeing It's A Sin)

Weren't the tabloids convinced that Kris Marshall was replacing Capaldi laugh.gif they're pretty dodgy when it comes to Doctor Who news, but I'd be very happy with Olly if it were true.

(poor Jodie's departure hasn't even been confirmed still drama.gif)

They're saying that Jodie will regenerate next year after 2 specials, which does sound about right!

Even if it's not true, I doubt she'll have more than 3 series.

I do want somebody to break the mould soon and actually stay on for a good amount of time - at least 5 series or so.

I adore Jodie, but even now heading into what's likely going to be her final series with two specials added onto the end, I don't know her Doctor like I knew any of the other Doctors, and it's sad. sad.gif

The virtual SDCC panel is tomorrow at 6pm BST! Jodie, Chris Chibnall, Mandip Gill & John Bishop will be there - along with a "special guest" 👀

Chibnall has said it will be ‘all one story’ which is intriguing 👀

Even more intrigued when a couple of episodes had to be lost because of Covid (although not sure what stage this was at, I know everyones saying 8 episodes but it seemed a bit flexible pending restrictions?)

Jacob Anderson (aka Raleigh Ritchie) is the first guest star announced and is the special guest at the panel.

There’s also a very boring teaser which is just clips of the Doctor, Yaz, Dan and Jacob Selena.png

Jacob Anderson's character Vinder will be recurring across the series, not just a guest actor!

I think I'd be more sceptical of it being one long story if it were a normal length series, but knowing it's going to be shorter, I think this is the perfect time to experiment a little. I think this will give more time for the plot and characters to flourish too, particularly Yaz and Dan. I feel excited about the series!

I quite welcome this news. Shame about Jodie, unless this series is a vast improvement, she was constantly let down with the material. I’d like another female doctor with good scripts just to shut the sexists up.

I am really happy Chibnall is going though, he’s been thoroughly awful. Can we please get a producer that wants to make DW a great family entertainment show rather than a vanity project you have to make your mark on.

It is a shame to see Jodie go as I feel like she had great potential. It's a shame about the rubbish storylines she was given and I hope with a new producer they can get back to basics and stop trying too hard.
